This is my second time using Let's Get Moving and I have to say it was an easy and smooth experience. Amardeep and Kiranbeerpal showed up the morning of my move and they did great work moving my 2 bedroom apartment. They navigated their truck through some tight spaces, they were extremely polite, and they were very careful with my stuff. We ran into some hiccups with the elevator but the team managed things quickly and professionally. I was extremely happy with these two guys. When we got to the new place, I hadn't done the best job of labeling my boxes, but the movers were very patient with me and asked me where to place everything. I also thought the price was very reasonable given the great work. I highly recommend Let's Get Moving.

I moved Sept 1st with Let's Get Moving. You can see their truck in the attached pictures. For context, I have been living in 2 bedroom apartments for 20 years and have booked with moving companies during that period. The service I received from the 2 of the 3 Let's Get Moving movers is on the terrible end of the spectrum. Why? - The movers arrived on the outside end of their "arrival window" due to "traffic" from their North York location for our move at 7:30a.m.. last week, a friend and I drove from this location all the way up to Woodbridge (north of Weston Road and Hwy 7) in 45 mins and with plenty of traffic and during afternoon rush hour. Thats why the move was booked for early in the morning. - They sat at the top of our driveway on arrival and were paused. Amid pending move and much to do -- we had to go out of the apartment and up to the top of driveway to look for them. We had to give same directions that were provided to office by email the day previous --- once truck was positioned, head guy and two others came in without wardrobe boxes or dollies just "to see" if it was a safe space...all on our time. I told him that he could both see and make effective use of the time by bringing wardrobe boxes in with him. What would be "unsafe" during a move? There are boxes everywhere which is not safe under normal circumstances but generally acceptable for moving. This was a poor excuse to delay working. Third bad sign of the day... ---- the apartment was ground level right beside the outside door. It took their 3 guys 3.5 hours to load the truck with dollies etc...they did not at each circumstance make use of their equipment (dollies) to load up multiple things in order to expedite it and this made them more tired early on. ----- 3.75 hours later they arrived and parked a bit further away behind a car closest to our door. Why would they not move up behind the car? I repeatedly asked the driver/head guy to move closer to behind that car and he delayed. He had a huge attitude problem and didnt want to be "told" what to do. Obviously he was working for me so this was a really terribly characteristic to work with. ------ this same guy (the driver whose name I think is Anand although he only told me once on the phone and it was cutting out) told members was going to come to apartment and waste another 15 mins. to "check it out" and go back to his truck. The apartment is up two stories and he was so upset about it...as though we lived up on the 5th floor. Two stories is not a lot and I have previously lived on top floors before and have never heard a mover complain so much about it. It was so unprofessional. He called the office from my apartment making the 15 mins process take even longer. All under my time. ------- from there on in, only 1 guy did 75% of the work. His name is Jay. I gave him a cash tip on one of his many trips. He loaded his dollies and bumped it up the stairs. I heard Anand counting the stairs for him for safety purposes which is fine but he would not bring in some things from the ground too so when he finished counting he would turn around and go back to truck and disappear. He wouldnt always show up after Jay and we saw Jay several times in a row with full loads without seeing Anand and the other guy. Although Anand was the lead guy he was the biggest mis-manager of time. --------- when my friends (who were also helping so it wasnt like these 3 guys were totally on their own) arrived they told me the guys were eating, smoking and lying on the grass ----------- Anand tried to plea with me for sympathy that it's such a hard job. Due to packing and other moving duties/requirements, I had no sleep for two days with a chronic health condition that causes me pain but generally accept and know that moving would be work (like it or not). If you are THE MOVER and trying to play games by getting sympathy for not working efficiently and being super slow because "it's so hard" then why did you take the job? It's generally known that it's a physical job and a demanding one. Asking for sympathy for your slowness, ineffieciency, mismanagement of time and terrible attitude is a new level of poor service. --------- we were billed the highest amount we have ever paid for a move by a company with very poor if not the poorest service. $1871for a two bedroom. That was supposedly with a 30 min discount and one hour "discount" for poor service which was then brought back up because if you pay cash you get one fee but it's not guaranteed or applied if you pay by credit card. Obviously with such high and surprise bills after a long day with movers with a terrible attitude and work ethic, you arent prepared with cash because the move costs so much more than you expected. Overall, I say thumbs down to Let's Get Moving. We overpaid and were overbilled even with small and inappropriate discount offered. I didnt even mention my bed which I am now out of because of them and have to buy a new one!!

The moving team was professional and courteous. The move took MUCH longer than was suggested when they quoted the job... 8 hours longer! My belongings were horribly damaged in storage. I spoke to the company and they offered to refund a portion of my moving cost, but if I accepted the money I would have to sign a non-disclosure. I felt it was more important to warn potential consumers of the hazards of engaging the third party storage company they use. This is a list of missing and damaged items: Missing: -2 wooden boards (bed slats) -3 glass shelves for curio cabinet Broken: -Bow front dresser leg -Side table: foot snapped, leg dislocated -Bench knob chipped -Lamp cord -Toilet brush -Wooden guitar (decorative) -Christmas wreath -Wardrobe top -Paper lamp -Laundry stuff -Bins and tubs (dented, cracked) -Boxes (dented, pushed in, water damaged, rips and tears in them) -Brown bottle -green storage case -Noah's ark (elephant head) -glass candle stick (3rd in a set) -small mirror -gift box -AC duct -angel smashed -prop figurine -ceramic bowl -soap dish figurine -stained glass cat -votive glass -cat angel ornament -mug -bowl -drinking glass -metronome -plastic cutting board -wooden picture frame -tea cup -microwave cart -kosher salt box (crushed) -glass canister lid -wooden table -crystal bottle (antique) -chipped green bottle lip -mask (crushed) -over the door hanger bent and broken -cement base to standing lamp smashed -2 cream mugs: handles snapped -Incan mask -replica wand -lavender gift pot Scuffed/damaged: -DVD cases x4 -bookshelf sides -dresser top edge -telephone booth -candle -chair legs -aerosol can -dining room table top -white table legs -red leather chair: corners scuffed and worn down from dragging? -piano bench: pin from hinge missing and 3 legs loose (and it was wrapped in plastic!) -black picture frame -curio cabinet front edge -piano front edge (plus there was a ton of what looked like sawdust when I removed the plastic wrapping) Issues: -several large items that weren't mine were included in storage and move: why was I charged for storage space and moving (loading/unloading) time for large items that were not mine. -who exactly moved my belongings into storage?

Let's Get Moving (LGM) is AWESOME!I tried a few others before but none of them is comparable to LGM. They tried their best to do the detailed and careful work at a fast pace. The moving service is of good quality as well as fast speed. All I needed to do was just to relax and sometimes told them how I wanted it packed or placed. My boyfriend and I have a lot of furniture clothes and other stuff. But they packed and moved everything pretty quickly. Both of the staff helped us were very nice, polite and friendly. I definitely will recommend to my friends! Thanks to their careful and fast work, all my furniture and personal belongings are as good condition as before, well, even better. Cuz Tiam helped me fix one table. Ask them for moving, you won't regret it!

this is our first time using mover.2 years ago when we move from 1Br to 2Br, we hire Uhaul and move it ourself and this time because we have accumulated enough stuff, we decided to hire mover. we were moving 2 bedroom stuff to 3 BR townhouse and we sure didn't want to carry anything heavy by ourself. the process of booking was easy even when I have to change the date due to elevator time and also when I called, the salesman keep saying if you want the date, you have to send deposit before someone snatch the date.so we decided to move on Tuesday 15th. after transfer the deposit, Kieran call me back to make sure that date we want still available (sept 14) but we already book elevator for 15th and he said Ok and the time will be morning 7.30 which I reminding him that I can't do that early because we have a toddler who sleep until 9. and we requested that the mover came after 8.30 which they did arrive around 9 (under our dime of course). Kieran email me back with the correct detail and that's it. one day before moving day, One of the sales called me back to ask whether we want additional insurance which I reject and also ask whether we need bedcover which we ask them to bring it if we needed it at the end (which we are) but I also ask what is my expectation of travel time between our old place to new place which they didn't tell me that their lunch time also included in our time but they will said that travel time for truck will take twice much longer like if we can arrive in 35-45 minute surely they can took 2hours to arrive (which is bullshit if there are no traffic due to covid). On the moving day, Pierre and Jay arrive at our place. we already pack our stuff (90% pack) except furniture. and I can see who is the one who work harder and I would have to say that I like Jay because he is the muscle and the driver here but Pierre was the brain because he know how to cover the furniture with blankets. 30 minute into work, Pierre were asking for water and because we already pack everything, my partner have to go to the car to bring some water bottle which is fine but once the boxes are inside the truck, Pierre start to slow down on packing furniture which took 1,5 hour for wrapping and cover with blankets with none of disassembled furniture. we didn't have bedframe (toddler reason) and I feel like they are slowing down because they want to finish later. my partner know that they almost finish so he bought pizza from near our place for them and also buy lunch for us to eat inside our car because we were thinking to save our time but it didn't because Jay is vegetarian so he can't eat pizza so once Pierre done his lunch, they have reroute to buy some food for Jay which on our dime (again.. everything counted on our final bill). we finish our lunch at parking lot and after we finish, we drive to our new place and waited for 20 minute before they arrive (it took us 35min and it took the truck 1 hour 20 min to arrive at our new place) and the moving in process were quicker then before because this time Pierre decided he want to finish early and He help to carry some of our boxes inside and we also help unwrap the blanket from furniture so we can finish earlier too. 45 minute into 4.30PM, Pierre start to ask for payment because he said he estimated that they will finish and arrive at office around 4.30 and he count it took 8 hours with 1 queen bed cover. Pierre called me at 8.20 that they will heading out and he said he gave us 10min discount to be fair. he also ask what estimated hour that sales gave us and we told him it was 6-8 hours. Anyone who have read this review for this long will know why I decided to give them 4 star instead of 5 stars. my partner and I share our thought after watching them working and like other people's review, we also gonna say that Jay deserve more tips than Pierre but we still gave them the same amount.

He also came to look at our place a few days before moving day to assess everything. On moving day, his team packed and wrapped everything very quickly. They were professional, asked questions, kept in contact on the phone during each process of the move and were very friendly. We originally asked for a team of 5 and two trucks but ended up with a team of 4 at the start and 1 truck. Reduced down to a team of 3 at our new place to unpack everything. We were charged accordingly to the changes. No hidden fees or BS, everything was told to us as changes were being made and explained again when the bill came. Prices were super reasonable for the distance. We provided water, gatorade (at both places) and breaks whenever the movers needed. People forget that this is a very physically gruelling task and my partner and I would have never done what they did in such a short period of time. We were so appreciative we even ordered pizza for them at our new place, while they finished unloading all our stuff. We had over 40 boxes and tons of furniture. 11/10 I would use them again and highly recommend them! They are true to their word "In and out".

My nightmare with the moving company from Hell --which they call Move Seniors Lovingly…read more A complaint to the company resulted in the owner sending a bill that was way over the quote, and then threatening both to involve the police to get it paid immediately and sell off all the contents of our home that were just moved into storage. Not a lot of love there. We hired this Toronto-area mover because it boasts a sensitivity to the transition needs of seniors and claims a top rating with the Better Business Bureau. It also assured us that it enforces the most advanced Covid-19 safety protocols among its workers. What it did in reality was very different. There is no love for seniors here. Just abuse, and treating us like we are an easy target for a quick buck. Move Seniors Lovingly contracted with an entirely different company to do the move, and one we had never heard of before. They went way over the estimate and employed badly trained workers who were careless and caused major damage to irreplaceable pieces of furniture. They didn't even come close to following Covid-19 safety protocols. Instead of using the one bathroom I asked them to use, they repeatedly used every bathroom in our home. During the move, they didn't wear gloves or sanitize their hands, as we were promised they would, and their masks were frequently off when they were speaking to us. After I called head office to express concern about the careless handling of items that were damaged, two workers stormed into my bedroom, shouting angrily at me for complaining. Yes, they were in my bedroom when they did this, and, yes, I felt threatened. Think it couldn't get worse than this? It did. They handled the first part of the move badly and then knocked off at 1pm, leaving half of the home still to be loaded on the truck. It necessitated another truck and crew the following day. We assumed this would all be included as part of the original quote for the move. Wrong. They charged nearly three thousand dollars extra. They also charged for a crew of three when only two showed up -- the same movers who had earlier stormed into my bedroom, despite the company's assurances that they would not be sent again. They planned the space requirements for the move so poorly that we had to leave valuable items behind, never to be seen again. Think it didn't get worse than this? On the next business day following completion of the move, I wrote to head office to set out my complaints about the abusive conduct of the moving crew and the damage caused to our items by their carelessness. I expected the company would look into our concerns. Instead, what we got was a final bill that went over the amount we were quoted by thousands of dollars. We had already paid a deposit for the move amounting to more than $3,000. Now, the company was demanding another $8,000. There was no response to our concerns. What we did get came in the form of a very blunt threat from the owner 48 hours later demanding that we pay the entire bill immediately, without question, or he would have the police come after us and he would dispose of everything we had placed in storage with his company. "I will give you a 24hr window to settle. If I don't hear from you. I will take further action through legal counsel, Police, and a disposal of all items in the two filled lockers that we have for you. Sincerely Brian Salnek 647 330-0424" Can you imagine a company owner sending an email like this to a customer who has raised concerns? He clearly thinks he's above the law. His threat to dispose of our possessions is not allowed by the regulations that govern storage companies. There is a process that must be followed, and a bill that is not even a week old does not come anywhere close to meeting those requirements. But apparently the law was of no concern to this owner. He knew he had the upper hand. He had all the possessions we had accumulated over a lifetime, and he knew we wouldn't want to take chances. We had to pay everything he demanded. It was a shakedown, pure and simple. I am desperately afraid that when we have our goods moved out of this company's storage to our new home, we are going to be shocked by how many of our items are either missing or damaged. I am also worried that there will be another huge shakedown to get them out of storage. So our nightmare with this company is far from over. The company's owner, Brian Salnek, claims "we wrote the book on senior's move transition." All we saw was the chapter on fleecing, threatening and overcharging seniors. Don't let yourself or a loved one be taken in by this company. Everyone, and especially seniors, expect and are entitled to compassion, dignity and respect. This company delivers threats, bullying and abuse.

The 2 movers arrived on time, took a look at what had to be done and got to work right away. They were efficient and quick. The furniture I was moving was very heavy, and had sentimental value. I was impressed that they moved everything safely and without any scuffs - which was very important as the walls in the apartment we were moving out of had just been painted. The movers were friendly and polite and got the job done in 2 hours. They had to take apart one of our desks and explained what they were doing to ensure us that nothing was being damaged. There is a 3 hour minimum, but I found that to be fairly standard among the quotes I had received. I was able to pay by credit card, and an invoice was sent to me the next day. I had a question about it and someone got back to me right away to walk me through my question.

A mandatory tip going to office staff!?!?!? My thinking is, do these mandatory tips goes toward the hourly rate for the movers? Hope not, but it is for sure something I would be very wary of...
