My husband I were using our food vouchers here as it was one of the choices to choose and we were glad we did. The food was so good. There was just too many different choices to choose from. I admit, the chips and dips ( refried beans and salsa) filled me up. I was hungry and as soon as the chips and dips came to the table, I dug right in. We chose the el molcajete with ribeye and create your own burrito. We also got horchata and Mexican coke. Service was great. Our server was patient and knowledgeable about the menu. Authentic Mexican restaurant located inside Boulder Station Casino. We were pleasantly surprised by the ambiance, decor, and how delicious the food was. The restaurant was cozy and clean with views of the casino floor. Our waitress was very nice and knowledgeable of the menu. My spouse had the burrito and loved the spicy red sauce it was topped with. I'll cut straight to the point. Leticia's has great food that's a little too expensive for what it is, combined with mediocre service. I came in for dinner on a Sunday at around 6pm. The restaurant wasn't very busy. When I arrived, there wasn't a hostess at the hostess stand but I was seated immediately at a table when she arrived after a couple minute wait. The restaurant is spacious and well lit with the usual Latin decor. There is some TVs sporadicly place which had Sunday Night football playing. Also a small bar in the corner of the restaurant if you prefer to be seated at a bar top or grab a cocktail if there is a long wait to be seated. A food runner came almost immediately to my table with chips and a side of salsa and a side of beans. I welcomed them since I was very hungry and both the salsa and beans were quite tasty. But here is where it goes off the rails a bit. As I'm enjoying my chips, salsa and beans, servers are walking back and fourth from the kitchen to the tables but not one has come to my table and ask if I'd like a drink or even take my order. In fact, it took about 15 minutes, in that time I finished the bean dip and most of the chips, before a server came up to my table to take a drink order. I just ordered an ice water and asked him if I can order my meal. He said of course and I ordered the chile verde. The server went off into a little room close by where I can they had a soda fountain and fridge for other drinks like milk and cream, but he stepped back out immediately with an empty cup and walked passed my table. I guess they didn't have any water in there at this time. Thinking he just went to the actual bar to get my ice water I waited patiently, but I never saw him again. Another 15 minutes later(which I feel is a suitable time for your meal to get prepared) a different server brought over my dish but no ice water. She did ask if I still wanted that ice water and I said of course I do. She went back in to that little room and brought me an ice water immediately. So far I enjoyed the chips, salsa and beans and I have to say the chile verde dish did not disappoint. The portions were perfect, not huge but also not tiny either. The rice and beans were delicious and the chile verde was not only pork but also had potatoes in it and was served with a side of flour tortillas and all was very tasty. The pork was very tender along with the potatoes. The service from that point on was better. The new server did refill my water and stopped by a couple of times to check on me. Overall the dish was excellent but $20 for pork, rice and beans might be a little too much, not to mention an extra $1 if you're NOT PAYING CASH. I've been coming here for more years than I can count. They remodeled recently, and the food is still great. I usually order simple dishes; Huevos Rancheros (best with salsa verde), or Huevos Divorciados. They offer complimentary tortilla chips and salsa, so I don't think I ever finished my plate. 2nd Attempt 1:45pm on a Thursday service much better from 5 days ago. We really wanted to enjoy this place and always attempt 2 visits to decide whether we return. Well the bartender is the waiter again, the Chili Verde pork was tough not tender the flavor way to much heat no balance , and Leticia's award winning tacos were not so award winning. My wife added carne asada to those award winning tacos not knowing they charge $16 for two teaspoon of carne asada per taco now I don't mind paying but when you feel gouged for a $16 add on which was more than most of the menu items that's not good it feels like purchasing a bottle of Fiji Water from your room at Aria for $27 on strip and this price gouging is off strip in a not inviting area. Now we know for price value and service this is not the place for us to spend our money. Watching 2 older ladies sit down on their own and leave because they cannot find anyone to give them menus. Now I'm not sure if it's time of day maybe operations run better at night or on weekends. Two attempts and two failed experiences we will not be back. See receipt pictured unreal. I made a reservation on line thinking it would be crowded since it is Cinco De Mayo..... the restaurant was nearly empty and the hostess asked if I had a reservation. We were seated promptly, however our drinks came AFTER our food and we were never asked if we needed another, as a matter of fact, only saw the waiter twice during the dinner... once to order and then to pay.... I asked for tapatio' and they gave me an empty bottle with 2 drops of sauce in it! When I asked for another bottle, they said they had none! Food quality was decent but unable to ask for anything in addition to our dinner because of the poor service... would have loved fried ice cream but didn't wanna wait a long time to get it... smh..... I really wanted to like this place! Years ago, I used to go to the Leticia's at the Fiesta Henderson hotel & casino once or twice a month and enjoyed the food and service there. One thing they had which I thought was pretty cool was a chips and salsa bar, where you could help yourself to refills of the chips and salsa they would bring to your table and they had about five different types of salsa that you could help yourself to. It closed down and then Fiesta Henderson ended up closing & being torn-down. So when I learned that a Leticia's would be opening at Boulder Station, I was very excited to give it a try, and that finally happened recently. A friend and I went fairly early on a Saturday evening and despite it just having opened within the past week or two, it was not busy at all. The hostess was very friendly and that is true of all staff members. No real ambience to the place, just some generic artwork -- I assume Mexican -- on the walls, along with TVs that had a college football game on. We were seated quickly, and within a minute or two someone brought us chips & salsa plus refried beans. Well, I cannot say I explored the entire restaurant, it does not seem like this Leticia's carried the self serve chips and salsa bar over from the Fiesta Henderson. However, I have no doubt that the friendly and attentive staff would have brought us more had we asked for it. They only brought out one salsa and not only did it lack any heat to it, but it was pretty bland unfortunately. That was the first surprising negative strike I noticed. The second negative strike was when I looked through the menu, I saw that all soft drinks were seven dollars. That is utterly, completely insane to me. I don't think a glass of Coca-Cola or 7-Up is seven dollars even at a five star restaurant on the Las Vegas strip, so for a Mexican restaurant at Boulder Station to charge seven dollars for a soft drink immediately told me that.dear ol' Letty and the Boulder Station F&B management have some serious issues dealing with reality. Even an iced tea was four dollars, which is absolutely unreasonable for Boulder Station's demographic. My friend & I shared an order of Quesadillas off the Appetizer's list. It was decent, but over-priced and only came with about a heaping tablespoon of guacamole, and a tablespoon of sour cream. For my entree, I ordered Potocinas. I've never heard of such a dish before, but since they did not have a basic cheese and onion enchilada on the menu, the description of this dish sounded similar enough to where I thought I would enjoy it. If you look at what the dish is, you'll see things like rice, black beans, and Oaxaca & Cotija cheese -- I am aware of those ingredients generally don't have a strong flavor to them, but on the other hand, the dish was supposed to have onions and a guajillo red sauce, which a reasonable person would expect to give some pretty strong flavoring to the dish. Unfortunately, in this case, that reasonable person would have been completely wrong. I couldn't detect any onions whatsoever, and for a place that claims to be "FOR THE REAL TASTE OF MEXICO," the guajillo red sauce had no spice/heat/flavor to it either, meaning the entire dish was bland. I just don't understand why the red sauce seemed to be devoid of spice & any flavoring, but this is completely consistent with the salsa that was brought out with our chips also not having any flavor to it. As far as I know, I am not sick, and my taste buds are functioning properly. but even if it did have some decent flavors, at $17, I feel my entree was overpriced and I know for a fact that I can get a better, tastier meal for a little less money at a variety of other well known Mexican restaurants in the area. My friend said her entree was "OK," but after some discussion, she also said she was perfectly "OK" with not visiting Leticia's again. Chef Letty has a good reputation, so I don't have a clue what happened. I can't see how she or any of her cooks/chefs or other staff could taste the same red sauce I did and think "YES! This is great!" Sadly, itwasn't good food, nor a good value, and the only positive thing was the friendly staff. One appetizer, two entrees, one Coke & one iced tea came to about $60, meaning $70 with a tip. NOT WORTH IT! read more

Disappointed! I was hoping to get a new fav Mexican spot. My husband and I were not impressed. We were seated quickly. Their menu has quite a bit to choose from however it's kinda in the expensive side. Our server wasn't around much-not a good first impression. The decor is okay -just has a cleaner look the walls are painted white making it brighter they have new tables, booths and chairs.They also have all new servers, sad not to have seen they kept the old Guadalajara staff. They were always upbeat friendly,quick &hospitable. We ordered house margaritas with salt on rim $14 (the Guadalajara had same for $5-and theirs actually had alcohol in it&salt on rim. Leticias was hella weak and they must be saving on the salt!) You do get complimentary chips, salsa & beans- the salsa tasted to me a lil clovy (if that's a word) but had a lil spice it was good and the beans were left a bit chunky and also seasoned. Verdict is out though because I was starving and it took forever to get our food-easily 30 minutes, so we ate most of it. I ordered chicken mole. Mole sauce was good but the texture of the chicken was kinda weird Served with rice, beans & tortillas. Mine came cold. The BEST thing I ate was the homemade corn tortillas- they were fantastic!!! I mean really really good! My husband had carne asada street tacos plate he said it was good but not memorable-wasn't served with any pico or guacamole on plate as taco toppers like most places. We got here around 7:45 on a Friday night. We waited more than 5 minutes before anyone even looked over to the host stand. She seated a party of 6 that had been waiting a while...certainly didn't look busy. A guy came & seated us right after that. Someone took our drink order, just two waters. Someone else brought us some delicious chips with beans & salsa. We spent a lot of time looking at the menu, waiting for someone to notice us & ask if we had decided. We had never been here before & the menu has a nice variety, so we wanted some suggestions. We were almost done with our second bowl of chips before anyone came to talk to us about ordering. He had lots of suggestions, none of them were things I'd been considering, though, so that complicated things for me! I wound up with a steak burrito of some kind. Very tasty! Lots of sliced jalapeños, with lots of flavor but not too much heat, steak, corn, avocado, beans & cheese. My husband got the enchiladas suiza, one pork, one chicken. The meat was very flavorful, tender & juicy. He asked for salt & pepper, but never received it. I don't think it needed it, but it's a habit for him. I asked for a napkin when mine fell on the floor...I did finally get that. It struck me as odd that the tables were totally bare. No silverware, s&p, napkins, decorations, ads or anything -- it looked very incomplete to me. We do want to go back & try a few more things. I'm hoping to service will be better (my husband's water was somehow kept topped off, which was good 'cuz that's one of his pet peeves). Went there with my Dad on Saturday night 2/14. Had a reservation and checked in. Hostess disappeared to seat a couple ahead of us and took a while to come back. Another server sat us and the hostess came over and started to say you can't walk in. Then checked us if we were seated there. I told her yes. Then she goes back to the hostess station and just brings silverware, no menus. I asked her for menus. We got chips and salsa but it took about 15 minutes for a server to come and take our drink and food orders. It took 20minutes for the food to come out and it was on the cool side of warm. I'm currently sitting at the restaurant and I just could not wait to write this review. First of all, the restaurant was 1/4 full, we chose to sit at the bar because we enjoy gaming. They do not carry any bar buddies for your food if you're at the bar and gaming. The bartender had no idea what he was doing, i asked him for a couple items and he was basically out of everything I asked him for. I had to ask him for waters, silverware, napkins. As we were sitting at the bar, there was only one large table seated in the restaurant as well. They kept getting up to order drinks at the bar because the server was nowhere to be found, we were basically finished with our food and they hadn't even ordered yet and we arrived at the same time. That is crazy to me coming from someone that works in the industry. The food was mediocre for the price. Definitely do not come here if you're on a budget even for happy hour! No way Jose! And to top off I asked for a salsa for my tacos and he said it was going to be $5 for a side of salsa! While we're were sitting at the bar, a guest came up and asked for a Long Island. The bartender had the audacity to say they don't do that here and sent her off to another bar at the casino, what kind of customer service is that?! As the guest were coming up to get extra drinks that the server was not taking care of, the bartender was not friendly at all, was very short and cold with them and not a single employee here knows anything about the menu. We thought we would stop by Leticia's before going to the Broiler for a drink and the 1/2 price nachos on Wednesday. It was a bad choice. The hostess told us 3 times to wait while she ran off to take care of something else and then when she did come we asked her about the happy hour and she seemed to know nothing about it. She asked a waiter to seat us and once he heard we were only interested in a drink and appetizer he told her in Spanish he did not want to take care of us. I told her, you know we understand Spanish, she apologized and took us to a table with no menus. Then the bartender came to our table and said he would wait on us. We said we wanted the $9 happy hour margarita which he said he knew nothing about but would take care of us. While the margarita was very good it was super small and in a smaller glass than the $1.99 slushy margarita at the Boulder bars. The empanadas were dry and lacked flavor. My guy got the chicken fajitas and I didn't try them so I can't speak on those but they did come out sizzling and looking good. The food was delicious but the service was bad. Our server Ashley did not take care of us and lied to us when we asked about our order because we asked to order elotes and then she says she didn't hear that, but that is a lie because we were loud and clear about that and the restaurant was nearly empty. When the food came out it was missing sauce and thank God we have been to the other leticias before because the server would not say anything if we didn't mention it. She was not attentive to our needs and would be gone for a long time and didn't get drink refills and was missing silverware and plates at our table. My husband had to take silverware off another table because our server was missing for so long.When we stopped a worker walking by to tell him we needed silverware and plates he said he would be right back and never came back and that was really disappointing.It was slow and not even busy so I think they just don't care about taking care of customers and making them feel welcomed.This place has bad service and they need to work on their customer service skills the only good thing I can say is the food tastes good.The server Ashley charged us for everything and when we spoke to the manager about our experience there she didn't even come out to apologize for her bad service she gave us. We did not leave any tip because of the bad service and didn't feel taken care of. She didn't even come out to check on us when we got our food to make sure everything was good and see if we needed anything but never came back and only came when it was time to pay! Leticia's in Boulder Station is amazing--a cut above. This is one place where one can experience the "cuisine" of Mexico. I've had the good fortune to travel to Oaxaca and being a total foodie, I fell in love with the delicious flavors endemic to Mexico and its indigenous tribes. I often wondered why these flavors--the incredible cuisine of Mexico--was not really represented in the Mexican food most of us in US experience (although I do enjoy good Tex/Mex as well.) Leticia's is *not* one of those places where all the salsas taste alike. Each dish is distinctive. Not only that, it's really not that expensive. Yay! But getting back to the awesome flavors--they're distinctive. They must be using herbs, chilies and other ingredients that take some effort to obtain. And--the creativity extends to cocktails as well. Mezcal and tequila fans will find a flavorful assortment. I was treated to a "Flore de Maguey" cocktail that was a delightful blend of mezcal, pineapple juice, and I'm not entirely certain what else. But it was delicious. Mexican cocktails (when you have a *mixology* consciousness as they evidently have at Leticia's) often have wonderful blends of tequila or mezcal combined with something slightly sweet and something herbal (Yerba sante in Mexico) and perhaps some spice/salt on the rim. In any case, I highly recommend giving this place a go. You won't regret it. read more
