I had 2 different companies come out and both told me I would need a whole circuit replacement or such and just a "commercial diagnostic" would be around $1200 according to the other companies I asked. So i told them i would look around and happened to come across Turn it on Electric. I sent a quote message and got an INSTANT response and they even had someone come out in about an hour from my call to them. Amazing service and Technician, Logan, was very friendly and informative. Im just glad they were able to come out so fast, find the issue and fix the issue before our business hours so that we could operate our restaurant. I can't thank you guys enough for your help today and how much it means for us to open our business! Would 100% call again for any issues and recommend as well. Pricing is pretty expensive but because this was an emergency case I completely understand and it was still reasonable compared to other companies.

I am extremely disappointed with Turn It On Electric and will never use this vendor again or…read morerecommend them to anyone. Charging $285 for a fix that took literally two minutes, without ever disclosing that minimum charge upfront, is the kind of business practice that makes me want to warn every homeowner I know. I want to share my full experience so others can make an informed decision before booking with this company. I had a bathroom outlet in my rental home that wasn't providing power -- it was newly installed about a year ago and this was the first time I tested it. I called to schedule an appointment, and the person I spoke with walked me through scheduling and availability but at no point mentioned that they have a $285 minimum service charge, regardless of how simple the job turns out to be. The electrician arrived and diagnosed the issue almost immediately: a switch/breaker in the main panel had simply been left off. He flipped it back on, tested the outlet, and confirmed it was working -- the entire fix took just a few minutes. Despite the simplicity of the issue, I was charged the full $285 minimum. I understand service calls have overhead, but I feel strongly that a charge this significant should be communicated clearly at the time of scheduling, not after the technician has already been to my home and the work is done. Had I known about the $285 minimum in advance, I would have asked more questions or looked elsewhere. I'm not disputing the technician's professionalism. My issue is entirely with the lack of upfront pricing transparency.

We bought a 4000 sq. ft. house in North Scottsdale that we completely remodeled from top to bottom. We were feeling overwhelmed with all of the decisions we had to make early on and decided to look into hiring a designer to help us with the process. My husband was reluctant at first, but once we started working with Michelle, he quickly agreed that hiring her had been well worth the expense. She knew excellent and reasonable contractors, helped us to select finishes at all of the best places around the Valley, and was always available to answer our questions. She also had many creative ideas that we never would have thought of on our own. Michelle not only helped relieve a lot of the stress that always accompanies a major home remodel, she understood the vision we had for our dream home and helped us make it a reality. Once our house was finished and we moved in, we hired her once again to help us decorate it, and the result was fantastic! We always get compliments from visitors, and we have referred Changes Interior Design to several of our friends and neighbors. Michelle is prompt, professional, reliable, and honest. She is also energetic and fun! After working with her on our house, we came to view her as a friend. I think that is the case for many of her other former clients, as well. We truly can't recommend her highly enough. If you are thinking about hiring a designer for your home, do yourself a favor and choose Changes Interior Design!

North Star does big, serious and complex designs and installations for large homes and estates. My home and my project were both modest (by comparison) and he never treated me or my project any differently. I was given a clear estimate for the work, including a detailed break down of cost, products, sub contract specialists, and full technical details - all of which were easy to comprehend and imo fairly priced for the value. In fact, Todd spent extra time with me discussing my current installation and sharing his knowledge and experience with my products and my curiosity about them --it was like talking shop with an ol' friend. I ended up delaying my project (for reasons) but my experience with Todd convinced me that the only person in the whole valley I'd trust to do my outdoor lighting projects with are North Star and Todd.

An Outstanding Experience!…read more We recently contracted with Todd Meyer at North Star Outdoor Lighting to completely redo our landscape lighting in the front and rear of our home in Scottsdale. From start to finish, we could not have been happier with Todd and his team. When he first came to our home, Todd outlined a very detailed plan for lighting that would accent our home and plants. Importantly, he did not recommend an excessive amount of lighting but gave us a plan that would illuminate the driveway and walking paths and enhance our landscaping and home. He helped us select the appropriate fixtures for our architecture and landscaping and gave us a very reasonable proposal. On the day of installation, Todd and his team arrived promptly and got to work, removing our old landscape lighting, and installing the new transformers, power lines and fixtures. In a day and a half, the project was completed. Todd and his team thoroughly cleaned up everywhere they had worked and then walked us through all they had done. Interestingly, it was early afternoon when they finished so we could not see the "finished project" until the lights turned on that evening. When the sun set, and the lights came on, it was a magical transformation of our property. It was a pleasure working with Todd and his team and we were delighted with the results. If you are considering outdoor lighting, we highly recommend Todd Meyer and North Star Outdoor Lighting.
