Keeping my "blinders" on, my mission is to get a few of those famous crispy bakes for my daughter's 26 birthday instead of buying a whole cake. My attendant, Eimau, (hope I spelled correcty, if not, my apologies) was so pleasant and his patience servicing me has me leaving with not only a few bakes, but cake pops, cupcakes and macaroons!! You have to try this nice place, so good. Thank you all for your service.

I was initially on the…read morefence due to the two viral crunches I tried--only one was enjoyable--and I wasn't impressed with the service. That said, I don't believe in writing a place off after a single average experience, so I decided to give it a second chance. This time, I ordered two different viral crunches along with a croissant. Unfortunately, the results were disappointing across the board. The Mixed Berry Crunchy was cute in presentation, but that was its only redeeming quality. There was no bold--or even subtle--mixed berry flavor. At $10, it felt wildly overpriced and not worth the calories. Next was the Lemon Crunchy, which is supposed to feature a lemon blueberry flavor. As someone who loves lemon, I had high expectations, but once again it was bland and forgettable. Since this is a bakery, I also tried a fresh croissant and asked for it to be warmed. The staff accommodated the request, and it smelled incredible. It was warm, light, and flaky--but sadly, the flavor fell flat. A light brushing of butter on top would have gone a long way. For me, this is strike two. Unfortunately, Lilla Vanilla just isn't worth the money or the calories. Based on my experience--mediocre service on the first visit, bland and overpriced featured items on the second, and only neutral-to-slightly-positive notes on the croissant--I'd rate it 2 out of 5 . I seriously contemplated giving them 1 star but to be fair, the viral crunchy presentation was appealing and the croissant did have good texture (even if the flavor missed).

Upon arrival there were additional charges for plating cookies or simply putting the items on a tray that was not mentioned and after pointing out they kindly waived the fee for using a tray. I wanted to pay in advance that seemed to be a problem because they charge by the pound when i was given a physical fee over email. Conversation felt tense and like I was a burden but I had no choice with the event being so close. Upon picking up the items my family picked up the baked goods and told me the employees were rude and once again felt like a burden and made sure to tell us plating will be $7 for next time. which there will not be next time. Happy to give my $200 to another bakery with higher quality product and a happier demeanor. Rainbow cookies are literately cake not the traditional cookies and cannolis have no chocolate chips in them. Feedback was it was okay but not great. Most guests told me since changing ownership, quality had diminished. For $200 i thought they would be nicer and happy for the business but based on quality and how we were treated, we won't be back.

He said "no plastic" - we ate it with our hands - we were not near our home - I understand no plastic but why he didn't have alternative cutlery was beyond comprehension. He was also quite rude in the way he spoke. We were excited to see an of out of the way bakery but with this person's attitude, we will be going to the other cafes in Princeton.

Overall pleasant. I actually preferred the chocolate one, though- the chocolate filling was dark and rich, and there was a good amount of it inside the croissant. The croissant dough had layers, although it seems like they had somewhat collapsed- it might be because I ate them some time after they had been baked, but unsure. It did not feel condensed or too chewy, though. I wasn't the one who ordered them, so can't speak much about the service. I have passed by the storefront before, and it looks small, more of a takeout vibe than a sit down and chat cafe.
