I know they get busy. I needed to verify if they had my filters in stock. I called on phone, they laid the phone down, 20 minutes later they hung up. I called back, they again laid the phone for 30 minutes. I finally hung up. Used to do all my pool purchases there, not anymore. read more

The customer service and service from this location is atrocious. I bought a new pump, new control panel and new lighting system from here. Spent a lot of money here. My control panel stopped working correctly once I did a software upgrade. Things break down and you wait 11 days for service. Recommend buying your parts and supplies anywhere but here. read more

This seems to be the ONLY way to get help from this store... by complaining publicly. My last issue was finally resolved, where it shouldn't have been an issue to begin with. Close to two weeks ago, I brought in my Pentair Rebel pool cleaner because it wasn't moving properly. The tires were good, And the employee acknowledged that fact when I left it there. We've not heard a word on the status.i called a week ago to see if it was ready, was told they'll get to it " next week". Well, next week is almost over. I've called four times over the last several hours, no answer. It rings and rings. Great. Today my husband took our kids into this store to get some supplies. My son needed to use the bathroom and when my husband asked, the worker told my husband no. Expecting some lame covid excuse my husband asked why because my son is four and needed to go. The worker actually replied," especially for kids who because they make bigger messes". They have let my husband use the bathroom before and it is disgusting and gas stations have cleaner bathrooms. So them blaming kids for the store's unhygienic bathroom is completely preposterous. Also, the worker's response was completely rude and unprofessional. My son ended up having to piss in the parking lot, which is was more unhygienic than simply allowing my kid to use the bathroom. Place is not family friendly. Our kids have been though enough with this pandemic. Forcing them to piss in a parking lot is demeaning. Avoid. Go somewhere that wants your business and treats you and your kids with respect. read more

My pool skimmer was in rough shape. I called the Leslie's store we usually go to because it's close to our house. The person there advised me to try the Centennial location as he was short staffed and would not be able to make the repairs I needed for several weeks. I called the Centennial store and Noah answered the phone and told me to bring the skimmer by and he could fix it for me. I went to the store shortly after and even though it was busy, Noah told me no problem and he replaced all the little parts that were worn out and our skimmer works like a champ! I was so impressed with not only his professionalism but also that he didn't try and take advantage of the situation and try and sell me things I didn't need. I know good help is hard to find and I so appreciate it when I find it. Thanks Noah, you're a gem and I hope Leslie's knows what a hard worker you are. read more

Well Leslie's, it is time someone had a serious talk about your inflated product prices. I know it's good to be King (really the only pool store left in Las Vegas, since you bought out everyone else), but without customers, being the king of nothing isn't so noteworthy. Now note that I am usually able to find the parts I need there, but I am certainly not a foolish person willing to give you four times the money for an item I can get at either of the two major online sellers in only a couple of days. Here is just one example: a pentair 272409 diverter valve gasket is a whopping $44.99 at your store, but only $9.99 elsewhere. Now C'mon. Really?! Is that amount of profit really necessary? It doesn't even come close to stopping there. Here is what usually happens to stores like yours. Initially, people will go there because you are the only one in town. Then, once they get there and are slapped in the face with your prices, they will not return. They will buy online, or do without. At that point, sales will start falling off, employees will be let go, customer service will start to lack, and then what will you have left? A store full of overpriced merchandise, a lonely and disgruntled employee at the counter, and too many stores. I'm sure the "CEO" of Leslie's made the high level decision to think, since we are king, we get to rule the pool supply stores, but I would think someone should let him or her know that price gouging your customers only lasts for so long. What's next, are you going to buy out the landscaping supply stores and do the same thing there? Note that the two stars are for usually helpful employees (but a lot of that has to do with customer attitude and mine is generally positive). read more

Terrible service! The last two visits were not good because I received in accurate information. For some reason I decided to give them a shot again. This time, I called in advance to make sure they had the part that I needed. They placed me on hold for a while and came back and said they did. We even specifically talked about those parts. I drove all of the way out here and then they told me that not only had I never called them, they don't keep those parts in the store. I hit redial my cell phone while I was standing there and their phone rang. The attendant seemed to find that amusing, but there's nothing funny about wasting my time and making me drive all the way out here. I definitely won't be coming back!! read more

Worst Leslie's I've ever walked into! I usually visit the Craig Rd store where Leon and his awesome crew are working but today I needed the t-valve assembly for my magnaflow in-floor cleaner system and they didn't have it in stock. So, reluctantly, I went to the Centennial location where disaster awaited me. The organization inside the store can only be explained as what I imagine Costco isles would look like after a 9.7 earthquake... there was stuff piled everywhere. The greeting member of the 4 man band was terrified of my pool water bottle as he threw both hands up in the air and said "I'm with someone." The retired gang member they've hired with his 13 tattoo on his left middle finger was; however, unfazed by my water bottle and started performing the test without acknowledging my existence. The store manager was busy putting parts away, as the 4th member of this disaster team was quietly hiding behind the registers. I tried to make heads or tails of the random numbers the test revealed and asked the associate (I believe his name is Ricky) to explain to me why I need so much acid. I've had the same salt water pool for years and never had to put this much acid in it before. (Back story is that a month ago I needed to add 36 oz liquid acid, two weeks later another 16 oz, and today I was told another 24 oz and then another 16 oz.) Clearly lacking a foundational knowledge in pool chemistry, the bald guy "helping" me said that I have to put acid in every 2 weeks and I must have gotten lucky until now. I told him that's not the case and that my salt water pool never need that much acid until recently. He then proceeded on walking away from the counter to which I replied "Really? Your answer is to just walk away from me?" To which he retorted " I don't know what to tell you... I've been doing this 16 years" I was so angry that the store manager was just putting away parts like a stock guy, ignoring both myself and his rude associate, I told them I would take my business to Craig Rd. store since they don't know what the f they are talking about. Moral of the story, don't step foot in here unless your ticker is healthy because you might just end up with an aneurism. Update: when I took a sample of my water to Craig Rd. Store to be tested, only my ph was at the higher end of normal sooooooo this place can't even test your water let alone treat you with respect. read more

Don't buy a pool cover here! I bought a top of the line pool cover that came with a five-year warranty. The cover failed after two years and when I called they said the warranty only covers "seam failure" and Las Vegas is considered an "extreme heat zone" that voids breakdown of the cover". Nowhere is that mentioned in the warranty. There was no offer of a discount on a new cover. As mentioned in previous reviews you can purchase everything they sell at much cheaper prices online. I LOVE to support local businesses but it is a two-way street. Staff is great but they have to work with the corporate policies that this monopoly has. read more

I have been a customer for many years and have had satisfactory service. Two years ago, I spent $8,000. on an entirely new Pentair system for our inground pool and spa. Over a year ago a plastic protective cover for the electronic keypad on the motor, broke. It was simple to remove and I brought the cover/piece, to the Centennial Blvd. location to purchase a new one. I was told "they don't make these anymore." I wasn't offered any type of help, as to where I could find something to come close to fixing OR replacing this piece. With the winds that have been blowing hard, the cover just blows away. For a BIG name, Pentair, not having a replacement part (believe me, I searched online), not to mention paying $8,000... this is unacceptable. Leslie's SHOULD be finding a way to stand behind their sales and products and help their customers. ***UPDATE as of July 3, 2020*** I was in contact with Mike Davis, District Manager this morning, and he was not pleased with the lack of service I received, regarding what should have been a simple fix . I asked them why it was taking so long for me to get my basket of breadsticks. A bald guy that had a name tag reading Mike told me they were out of breadsticks, but that I should try the veal parm instead. Then a guy that had to be his brother, I think his name was Dan, told me the Olive Garden was on the other side of the parking lot. 6 stars for pointing me in the right direction. I went in and ask one of the cashiers if I can get a price adjustment for last time and he said he will take it off of my new purchase. Given the spike in prices recently, I understand what I was getting into. I was buying chemicals for my spa like I have for 5 years at 2 different locations at Centennial Hills. I had to purchase online (since both stores were out of stock) and got an email confirmation my almost $80 dollar order which used to be 1/3 of that price was ready for pick up days later. The staff were friendly per usual but took awhile for them to scan the box and hand it over with no receipt and didn't care to check my ID anymore. The employee finally said, "the computers are slow don't worry about it." I asked about my points to which he said online orders (which was the only choice at the time) won't go through but use my receipts to contact customer service online. Well I don't have a receipt since you said take the box that's been paid for online. I used my confirmation online to connect with customer service, every email bounced back that their email was not valid. I'll continue to shop there for chemicals but calling the store the next day to confirm the email on the website and hearing how bizarre that was but no solution was bothersome. I've never rated this store or the other one, which has always been 5 star service. The lack of trying to help a loyal customer get my points and not make an effort was poor customer service. Sorry but my 5 went to a 3 because this still hasn't been fixed a month later. read more

The NPS location on Sahara absolutely refused to acknowledge the existence of variable speed pumps that cost less than the IntelliFlo. They tried to upsell me and use all manner of hogwash to get me to buy one or a TriStar. They were going to sell me a pump that cost $1,100+ after installation and that was that! Carl at this location took his time to answer my questions on the phone. He took the time to let me know that there was no reason to replace my current 1HP pump with the variable speed equivalent of a 3HP unit, and he took the time to even demonstrate that the SuperFlo VS ($450 after NV Energy rebate) would save me money even if I ran it the exact same way as my old pump. Carl is 100% responsible for me not writing off Nationwide Pool Supply as a total loss. He was honest and told me exactly what I would pay out the door for the pump over the phone. By golly, that was exactly what I paid, down to the penny. Great guy and if you're a new pool owner, I have no trouble recommending him at this location. I saw him dealing with another customer with the same "no nonsense" attitude. Avoid the schmucks at the Sahara location like the plague. read more

I have to agree with R.B. 100%. They bad mouth the competition on at all of the stores. Is it in the employee handbook or taught during training?! It's always followed up with "So you just come here from now on and we'll take good care of you." We've been lucky, the kid we deal with definitely knows his stuff and has kept his mouth shut. If he starts talking, we stop going. They two stars are for professionalism. I would give them three for knowledge. *NPS I know you read these, so take note...It's a fact, if employees "talk trash" about someone to or in front of the customer, that customer will wonder if they are "talking trash" about them when they leave. read more

I waited for a week for a technician to come to my home for repair. Took the day off of work and waited all day. Got a call he was 20 minutes away. To my surprise, after giving the lady my gate code when booking my appt, he left the gate because he did not have my gate code. As soon as I saw missed call I immediately called and was placed on hold for 20Minutes. Now he had my cell phone which he could have contacted for gate code but he left. After being on hold for 29 minutes this is what was relayed to me. Very poor customer service. I will take my business somewhere else for my new heater. Sad because Leslie's has been around for years but have lost the touch with customer service. read more

After two weeks of being lied to by these guys, I called the 800 number, only to be told that it was never ordered? I called the store to find out what happened. I ended up talking to a useless millennial named Joey or Josh, and he became indignant regarding my issue? Stay away from this place. I just discovered a week ago that NPS has been sold to Leslies Pool Supply. I have been going here since I had my pool put in 12 years ago by Desert Springs Pools when they had a location next door. I had tried Leslies Pool Supply back then thinking I mightvsave some money, only to find out that their prices were much higher. I became a dedicated customer of NPS immediately after. NPS had awesome seasonal sales that lasted from Spring to Fall. Since the sale to Leslies, I've seen the price get hiked 3 times on Muriatic Acid. What was once a regular price of $9.99 is now with a sale price of $6.99 during pool season, the regular price is now $15.99 with a "sale" price of $12.99. It's amazing how the price for the same brand of product could go up 65% in just 2 months. If NPS could sell it for that much less, then certainly Leslies could sell it for that price or lower with their buying power of a larger corporation. Just another example of a company buying out the competitor to gain market share and gouge customers instead of competing. Much of the other product prices have gone up significantly as well. Very disappointed. I will be buying most everything from wholesalers or online dealers from now on. I'd rather buy Home Depot grade acid than pay the Leslies ransom. I won't be going back. I feel bad for the NPS employees. They are hard working and skilled employees that will likely be fleeced as well. Now they will have to answer to a lot of angry loyal customers for the price gouging. Goodbye NPS. You will be missed. read more

Personally had a very poor experience with this store. I brought my Pentair vacuum in for repair over a month ago. Upon dropping it off on a Tuesday I was asked if they should just repair it or provide me a quote before doing any work, and I opted for the quote, and my expectations were sad that this quote would be available that Thursday. When I didn't hear from the store I gave them till the following Monday to get back to me and heard nothing. I followed up Tuesday morning it was promised that somebody would look at it and give me a call back. Again the call did not happen I let it go a week and followed up again that next Tuesday. The cycle repeated itself week after week until today in which I was told that no one understood how to repair my particular vacuum and that I can come get it. I escalated this on more than one occasion to the store manager who gave me way more information than I needed about staffing turnovers and issues with employees, And how the previous manager and assistant manager had recently left. For me personally this is all about expectations and customer service and I tried to be patient and work with them. Had my expectations been set properly when I first came to the store I probably would've just bought a new vacuum and gone home happy. I am now ordering a replacement from Amazon and my trust in my local pool store has evaporated. read more

Carl the assistant manager at this location deserves 5 stars and a raise. We came here to find answers about what we should do about our pool since it wouldn't hold chlorine. We brought a sample of our pool water here and he suggested to drain it due to high TDS and calcium. Prior to owning our home another pool company thought we were on a salt system and dumped a ton of salt in to the pool. We are on a septic tank and well system so draining our pool was out of the question. Carl recommended us to a company that performs reverse osmosis. We contacted that company and a few days later our pool is sparkling and blue. I would have to say Carl at NPS has been very helpful towards my husband and I. We always come here to buy pool stuff and everyone here has been very friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. Thanks guys! read more

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Zero Stars is what should be noted. I ordered items online with a coupon and once order was submitted the coupon was denied and my card was charged 100 % so my order went from $82 to $157. I immediately tried to cancel order but lo and behold, the website has been created to not allow this feature of any sorts. So I had to endure 1 hour and 40 mins on hold to speak to a customer service rep. I asked him to cancel the order ... it took him another 20 mins to process a work order to be sent to another dept that processes cancelation orders and I was told it would take 5-7 business days to get a refund. I received email with cancellation order attached. Now fast forward 7 business days and I receive my order via shipment to my house with no follow up or answer as to why this order was shipped. I went to the Centennial Store only to be told by 2 staff members, that we cannot honor any returns from online shipping. That the corporate office does not permit such transactions even though they carry the same products. I was told to wait another 5-7 days to see if corporate office will address my original request. and If I expect any refunds I need to take this up with Corporate ..." they told me they were just low lifes working for the Man" and that they have to deal with such problems daily " quote unquote... totally no customer service what's so ever with their products. And since they are the only game in town Leslie's Pool and Supply can get away with such behavior. Horrible Horrible Customer service. Now I am stuck with over priced materials - Note to self don't buy products online with this Company. read more

On May 16, 2020 my pool company replaced my filter and pump. Pentair Whisperflo High Performance Pump. Within a few days the pool was cloudy and the pump kept going off. The timer was running but the pump had stopped. I put my hand on the pump and I was burned. I got the temp gun and it read 239 degrees. My pool company checked the pump a couple times during the week and said it is faulty and needs to be replaced. He took it back to Leslies and they said they could do nothing and their repair person would be out in a couple days. On the 3rd day I get a call and told they will be out June 6th another 6 days in a heat wave of 106 to 110 degrees. My pool company said all his other suppliers just replace the unit. He has never seen a supplier do this before. And yes my pool company has an account with Leslie's Pool. Leslies has no problem taking your money but don't honor the warranty. Sham on you. read more
