​Stay away--sales-driven company with terrible weekly maintenance…read more ​I hired Priority Pools based on their high ratings, and over the course of more than a month under their care, my pool was green with algae. ​Key Issues: ​Constant Upselling: Right after onboarding, they tried to sell me unnecessary overhauls--including a new saltwater cell, completely missing that my pool already had a one-year-old salt system running. ​Poor Tech Knowledge & Reporting: The technician assigned to my weekly route didn't speak English, which doesn't have to be a problem, but he didn't seem to know I had a saltwater pool despite my messages to the company and they assured me that he was aware. Weekly reports lacked basic chemical breakdowns and only provided a photo of a meter. ​Weeks of Ignored Algae Blooms: Despite multiple messages alerting them to worsening algae over several weeks, proper testing (like CYA) wasn't done until a company leader flagged it when called me after I notified them I was cancelling. ​Offering free service doesn't fix persistent bad service. I had to hire outside help just to restore my pool. Look past the marketing and check their most recent 1-star reviews before hiring them. He was friendly while being very professional. He deduced that pump #1 was disabled, which caused the spa not to work. Antonio said he could replace the pump, but first, he wanted to see if there was a reason it wasn't working. He found the wire leading to pump #1 was lying in water and had a small break that caused the breaker to flip. Instead of paying for a new pump, I just had to pay for a new wire to pump #1. It's very nice to have a repair person who looks for the most inexpensive way to fix your hot tub. I will continue to do business with AG Spas!

We ultimately chose 4M Specialties. This company has been family owned and doing business in the area for over 30 years (receiving top ratings from the BBB). While 4M was not the cheapest (maybe slightly below average), Mike (Miguel) and Jorge took the most interest in understanding our needs/desires and demonstrated/communicated the greatest knowledge (from years of hands-on experience). Our experience was fantastic in terms of knowledge of the trade/skills, quality of work, and customer care as compared to the contractors my wife and I have worked with over the last 40 years. This experience began with initial project scoping and continued through materials selection (e.g., grout color), design options (accent tile placements), project execution and clean-up (by the crews), and final walk-thru (to ensure our complete satisfaction). Although phone responses were initially not as timely as we would have liked, we found that this was never an issue once the project began -- Mike provides nearly immediate response to texts whenever he is not on site. As for the work crews themselves, extremely polite and considerate. Whenever we had any questions during the process, the supervisors addressed them immediately. Each member of the various trade crews was respectful of our landscape and property, and never left for the day without a thorough cleanup of the work site (all of the 4M employees we met had been with the company for 15+ years). So, when it came to replastering an existing 'model home' pool albeit a modest pool (originally built by Nevada Pools) that was deteriorating, I called Distinctive. All in all, I figured it to be a straight forward job as the footprint would be staying the same. Owner Edgar Herrera impressed me as knowledgeable and well equipped. Upon his recommendation, I also decided to replace the waterline tile. I was so confident in him that I did not feel the need to even stay in town to oversee the process. For this job, I selected a quartz product (new to me) in Cappuccino, and I was excited for the change to come. Throughout the process, however, I felt as though my job was just too small and not a priority. In fact, I know that Distinctive was performing a large scale new build near me as more than once, I was told that a rep would swing by after visiting the other site. Had my son not been home when my pool was initially filled (we did this twice), it would have overflowed into the backyard. While Edgar did respond to my concerns, I feel that had he and his team been more proactive I would not have needed to shoot off trouble calls after hours. My main concern involved the quartz material as rendered (which I was viewing as cell phone photos from my son). While Edgar did initially tell me that the pool needed to be 'swept' after being filled with water, I interpreted that to mean the pool needed to be cleaned to establish the correct water quality and PH. It had not occurred to me that the plastering process was not yet completed?! I have never had a pool contractor hand off a job that was not actually done and ready for swimmers. Further, Edgar knew that I had not yet hired a new pool tech. Long story short, I have a distinctive pool all right (see photos). I refuse to believe that the resulting mottling, uneven distribution of quartz and staining in the body of the pool are my fault. To his credit, Edgar did have his plaster sub, Rainbow Pool Plastering, return to perform an acid wash on the pool, but it really is no better and certainly does not reflect the nearly $30K spent on it. I am still waiting on the pool accessory kit $500. The only reason this is not a 1-Star Review is because Edgar is a nice guy and I do not believe this was his desired outcome either. To anyone considering a quartz product, I highly suggest you do your homework first. The web is full of similar stories to my own. ~ Tammy

Not only does EZ do an excellent job of regular cleaning and maintenance, Eric understands the technical aspects of the actual pool equipment and is able to successfully troubleshoot the mechanical and electrical pool issues that occasionally arise.   Of course, Eric doesn't come every week to maintain my pool, however, unlike pool services I've used in the past, he has a knack for hiring diligent, honest and dependable people. They are skilled at both keeping the pool clean and monitoring the overall health of the pool. They are always respectful of my property and of me and my family.   I cannot recommend Eric and EZ (and his staff) more highly!
