I just moved to Anthem and the house had a green pool. I drained the pool and put in fresh water. I took a sample waters to Leslie's and they kept recommending different products. However, the pool kept going green even though I purchased all of the products that they recommended. I told the young guy at the counter that the pool is still going cloudy and green after several weeks of following their exact recommendations. He said "Are you using our Chlorine tabs?" I said "No" since I purchased a big tub of Chlorine tabs from Costco. He said that that was the problem since the tabs from Home Depot, Lowes, and Walmart do not work. He told me to purchase a big tub of Chlorine tabs from them so I will have clear water since their Chlorine tabs are the only ones that work. I walked out and threw their water test bottle in the trash can next to their door. I will never go back. I went to Home Depot and bought the test strips. I googled the different things that were listed on the test strips. I learned that the bottom test was "Chlorine Stabilizer", which is Cyanuric Acid. In addition, the pool section at Home Depot recommended a "fourth step", which is algaecide. I purchased a small bottle of algaecide from Walmart for $7.95. I added liquid Chlorine, Muriatic Acid, and Chlorine Stabilizer to get all of the chemicals into the "OK" zones for the test strips. I continue to use my floater with Costco Chlorine tabs. Once the chemicals were balanced, I started adding a couple of ounces of algaecide every other day as recommended on the bottle. My pool cleared up. I'm looking out my window and my pool is perfect! Yea! My kids love jumping in and having fun. A pool is a great thing to have in the Arizona desert. It is actually easy to maintain. All I had to do was throw my Leslie's water test bottle in the trash and purchase test strips from Home Depot. Yea! read more

Leslie's Pool Supply in Anthem is #1 in service! About 6 months ago, our pool sweep needed some major maintenance. We went to Leslie's for the convenient location and that is where we met Terry (I think he's the store manager). He completely rebuilt the machine right in front of us (all the parts were in stock) and it's been working great ever since. Recently the light in our pool needed replacing, so we headed back to Leslie's again, and sure enough, there was Terry. After spending time going over options and looking up parts, we decided on a new LED light. It was easy to install and looks great! I don't usually write reviews, but I was highly impressed with Terry, in Anthem. He is extremely knowledgeable and has great customer service. He recommended I try " Perfect Weekly" and I have to say, my pool has never looked better!! I do not agree with this J. Freeman person who posted a bad review. I am in the store often and Terry has a great rapport with everyone. I think he is a wonderful addition to the store and personally, the other two individuals could use a refresher course. I've had encounters with Mel (who I haven't seen in a while) and Heather and they are both lackluster to say, the least. read more

Why is zero stars not an option? I visited on Monday 5/18 I had my water checked and was "recommended" over $100 in stuff to "correct" my water. When I asked for Terry to go over his recommendations again he dropped the paper on the counter and walked off the sales floor. Not feeling comfortable about it at all I returned today my water returned to normal without any of his recommendations he is either a blatant liar or has no freaking clue what he is doing. I have heard others with this complaint this is why I felt a review was needed. read more

The new manager is awful. Mel the old manager wasn't always nice but he wasn't a liar. I have my water tested every Saturday. Always very similar Heather is always nice knowledgeable she knows what's she's doing. This Saturday TERRY lied and said my phosphates were super high to get me to buy product. Went back on Sunday had Heather test and back to normal. DO NOT LISTEN TO TERRY HE WONT BE THERE LONG. Do not support liars. read more

This is a great store, the manager "Terry" has always treated me well and bent over backwards answering all my questions and providing great guidance for me as to how to take care of my pool. I highly recommend using this particular store if you are in the Anthem area! All the employees are great to work with as well. I went to 4 different Leslies to repair my The Pool Cleaner vacuum and each one fixed something on the vacuum but couldn't get it to work, then I took my vacuum to the Leslies at Anthem and the manager Terry found the problem right away and fixed the issue and now my vacuum is running like brand new! Went into the local Leslie's in Anthem and needed a new 1 hp motor. The store did not have one in stock. The store manager, Terry, told me a nearby store had one but I didn't have time to drive over and get it. Terry the offered to get it from the other store on his lunch break. Can't beat that level of service. Motor installed and running great. read more

My pool was out of control. I was frustrated not knowing what to do. I came into Leslie's and Terry helped me out. He showed me that it was my phosphates.
