Terry was great!! He took a look at my mx8 and was honest as can be. We both couldn't figure out why it wouldn't work properly. He even took some parts to see if they ones already installed were bad. In the end he suggested I call zodiac and see what they say. Zodiac ended up covering some parts out of warranty. Terry could have upsold me with a tune up kit or bunch of additional parts but he didn't. Much appreciated!! Got my water test done and he was honest as well on that. We have lived here in beautiful Anthem Highlands for two years now and we are first-time pool owners. I have found the guys at Leslie to be very friendly and helpful. They have no control it, so I don't hold it against them but Leslies is typically well over priced. I do appreciate their willingness to check my water weekly for free - good guys. I did buy a cleaner from them that I am THRILLED with it yet it was our pool company (amazing) who recommended I buy it from Leslie because they had it on sale that month. This time we were looking for a "life ring" - a US Coast Guard approved lifesaving device & sure enough ~ they had it. I just left Leslie's where I have shopped since moving to Anthem. Today there was a gentleman purchasing product without a mask or gloves or any protection. When I asked the manager why he was allowing a patron to enter the store without protection he said "he didn't want to wear one". I have posted pictures of the store requirements. It says "Customers are "required" to wear face coverings... I have a new kidney and a compromised immune system and although I wear protection others must help to insure the public is protected. The manager said he would do nothing to correct the situation. He is more interested in his profits than the safety of his patrons. They even offer masks for those that need one. For me I will find another place to shop although it is most inconvenient I hope the rest of you will consider the same. AZ is the highest on Covid cases..from today's paper "Arizona reports 4,273 new COVID-19 cases, sets new records for hospital beds in use" We must take a stand to protect ourselves and our love ones especially those over 65, I'm 70. Join me is avoiding Leslie's until they adhere to their own rules! Those signs should give the public some reassurance that we are shopping in a safe place. Thank you. read more

The new manager is awful. Mel the old manager wasn't always nice but he wasn't a liar. I have my water tested every Saturday. Always very similar Heather is always nice knowledgeable she knows what's she's doing. This Saturday TERRY lied and said my phosphates were super high to get me to buy product. I call bullshit! I have gone into Leslie's multiple times and I refuse to allow Terry to touch my water considering the last time he tried to sell me multiple products which I did not need. While waiting in the store today I heard him ask multiple people to give him a good yelp review and reminded each one as they walked out the door. I tried calling the Anthem, Arizona store to check availability on a part, but their number went straight to a FAX machine for the past two hours, so I tried calling their 800 number and was placed on hold, according to my phone, 14 minutes and 19 seconds before I hung up and drove to my local Leslie's store. This was 06/02/2020 at 11:45 a.m. When I walked in, there was one other person besides the salesman. When he finally acknowledged me, I asked him if he had a Pentair drain plug, part 86202000 in stock. He said he did not and offered me the only one he had, which was a female threaded one (not even close to matching my male threaded one). He offered to send me to the next closest Leslie's store 30 minutes away in Cave Creek (where we are having evacuations due to wild fires), and I asked him if I were to call there first, like I did his store, would I get a FAX machine as well. He said, "Are you trying to be a smart ass? Because it sounds like you are being a smart ass!". I turned around and walked out.
