DO NOT EVEN THINK about getting your fingerprints done here. Yes, it's the cheapest deal in town, and for good reason: You Get What You Pay For (Wasted Time, Awful Customer Service and Low-Quality performance)!!! The proprietor at Leslie Fingerprinting will proclaim repeatedly that she's an expert who has 15+ years of experience taking fingerprints, but during our only visit she had to re-do the prints three times because they were smudged and illegible. When I questioned each time whether the prints were clear enough, she'd serve up another condescending lecture about how she's the top fingerprinting expert in the area and knowns better than anybody else for miles around. With misplaced pride and indignant vibes she printed out the card required by a credentialing agency. We sent in the card but when they received it the agency promptly REJECTED THE FINGERPRINTS for being ILLEGIBLE & INADEQUATE. We had to start over at another place that actually knows what they're doing. What we experienced and witnessed at Leslie, along with the evidence described here, is proof enough: The only fingerprints this person can successfully manage is the leaving of her own fingerprints... all over the rip-off "crime scene" that is her shop, her so-called "expert service", and her notoriously rude attitude (see all the terrible reviews below). Let our loss be your gain: Save your time and money by spending them wisely the first time around and going literally Anywhere Else to get your fingerprints done. P.S. Suspiciously, she also sells some random clothing items like hats, purses, shoes; just a really strange mix of business, which begets questions of legitimacy and currency cleaning. I thought I was getting professional fingerprints, yet the FBI rejected them for inadequacy. Also had to go get cash out, as I was previously informed that she takes credit/debit, but she didn't. Not returning, getting them done at Castaic USPS instead. I thought "Oh, it's close by, perfect." nope don't fall for it if you're submitting to the FBI I suppose. Thanks. Don't get card fingerprints done here. Another state required them to transfer my teaching credentials and she completely screwed them up and put my fingers out of order so the state would not accept them. I ended up having to pay another finger printing service to do them over and had to pay the state the fee again. When I called her and left a message letting her know she never responded. A total rip off. read more

Absolutely worst service ever. She has a rude attitude, she did a Livescan for one of my agents, but the fingerprints that the agent paid for went unprocessed. She lost the records of the fingerprints, and the state said the fingerprints don't exist. Hung up on me when trying to find a solution, after we get this fixed I'm leaving 20+ negative reviews from my agency, she doesn't deserve to be in business. read more

I came here to take my passport photo as my mom came here years ago. I was wearing a tan tank top and cardigan however the woman said I could not wear that because it was too light and the background was white. Okay no problem. I go back to my car and put on a hoodie and again she tells me I can not wear that. I saw no issue with my tank top and cardigan and don't understand why she wouldn't take my photo. I went to get ink prints for a clearance and was told they cost $50 but $80 if I wanted them right away. A few problems: -- normal cost is $35 - $40, definitely not $50 -- I was taking the prints with me, so there should NOT be an additional $30 fee -- cash only or ATM fee I found another service (Jessyka Walker) who provides both ink and live scan mobile services at a much more reasonable rate and will come to you, if needed. read more

Poor service. Jennifer answered the phone very informally and did not even state the name of the business. I had to ask to make sure I was calling the right place. Jennifer was rude and made me feel like an inconvenience. Once in person, she looked mad and did not even smile. DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT COME HERE. If this app would let you give no stars i would definitely do it. This one star is shouldn't exist. I went to get fingerprinted for my firearms permit and this lady put it under someone else's name with my information (SSN, DOB, and address) . Took me 3 months to figure out why I haven't gotten an email for my psych evaluation. When I went back to figure it out WITH DCA (who works side by side with DOJ) on the phone saying all of it is wrong, Leslie still didn't take accountability for her messing up. Her exact words were "she needs to do her homework" ITS FUCKING DCA TELLING YOU THAT YOU MESSED UP! This place is trash. Should've known by that lil ass hut for a business. I needed my fingerprints taken and this was the only place on Tuesday opened past 6pm. Which was a relief because I needed my fingerprints taken quickly. Surprisingly this place was really close by to me I drive past it all the time and never noticed it, it's a small office. Either way I walked in at around 6:10 and was out of there within 10 minutes. The place is cash only but the store owner let me pay through Zelle which was so convenient. Easy and fast, definitely would recommend. read more

Quick, comprehensive, courteous, friendly, accommodating and helpful! This place has been here for at least 14 years and I have used their services on a number of occasions. I do wish they would buy a credit card machine but they were willing to run the prints and trusted me to bring them the rest of the cash later. I went to this business to get fingerprinted for a professional license. They could not seem to get good prints in spite of repeated attempts. She said I could return for free if there was a problem. There was -- the FBI rejected them (after 1 month delay!). I returned and she re-submitted my prints. Another month goes by, I'm losing tons of income while waiting. I get a second letter from the FBI saying there was a processing error and I would need to pay $70 for a completely new application. I said "forget it" & had my prints re-done at UPS Livescan. The prints went through ASAP and I had my license within days. I don't know if Leslie Fingerprint has a bad machine or if they don't enter the data correctly, but save yourself a lot of time and money by going to a different business for your Livescan! read more

I've experienced the worst time with this woman. I was told to visit her center for my livescan so I could begin work as a teacher. I waited around for ONE MONTH working with customer service at the DOJ and CBCB to find out that my fingerprints were REJECTED because Leslie forgot to enter in crucial information! The lady that runs this place has a major problem with herself. Her husband is no better. I walk through the door and he asks if he can help me. I said I needed a live scan. He told me, "sit down, she help you." What was the point of asking if he can help me if he was going to let her help me anyway? And I don't care if it's a cultural thing or not. You don't tell customers SIT DOWN. When she got off the phone, I gave her my live scan paper and she looked at it for a few while then kept asking, "HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO GET PAID?!" without looking up. From the way she was talking I assumed she had to have been talking to her husband. Nope, she was talking to me. HowTF do I know how she's getting paid??? I have no idea what she's talking about. Finally, after she asked me three times, I had to tell her I don't know what she means. She told me there's supposed to be some code on the paper. I told her this is all I got. She said I needed to call a phone number on it that was written in small print at the bottom. I didn't know. I was getting hired for a state job. Apparently what I figured out for myself after I left, this job I was getting there were specific live scan offices I had to go to, I couldn't go to just anyone. She could have done the polite and professional thing which was to kindly explain this to me. This lady has no people skills at all. Just like another customer commented, she's rude. I would say VERY rude. The reason why she's running this business is in a film developing shack and not a real office because she can't get customers. She chases them away. I hope the community stops going to her so she can learn something about her behavior towards customers.
