I don't think I should be the person writing about this place, as i am a vegetarian and they had no options for me. However, because we were six people (or maybe not because of that), but the chef was nice enough to modify his risotto that usually contains chorizo to a vegetarian option, so nice, parmesan and 3 types of mushrooms.
I am a big, big fan of risotto (when i was living in Beirut, I went on the quest of finding the best risotto in town, so hit me up if you are ever craving a risotto in Beirut). This one was really good! i was pleasantly surprised not to find an overly parmesan-y risotto, super creamy. May have been a tad too salty for my taste, but nothing a bit of pepper couldn't cover. The mushrooms were very clearly fresh.
I think someone complained about his dish being a tad cold, but nothing unbearable.
Keep in mind, that we waited around 45mns, if not an hour for the dished to get to us. Maybe that's average in a high end restaurant but it was kind of exhausting as they kept bringing bread that we couldn't resist eating.
The dessert, OH MY. We ordered a variety of choices: from the apple tart to the chocolate one, from the mille feuilles to mine. Mine was exceptional. It came in the shape of a perfect yellow lemon, with gold leaves sitting on a very thin biscuit. The lemon was actually a very thin layer of white chocolate covering a perfectly well balanced between sweet and sour lemon mousse, with a heart of lime coulis.
The service was impact. The servers were all smiles and helpful, well informed. The place itself is modern with dim light, comfortable seats.
Highly recommended, for family dinner or an uber fancy date. read more
