Convenient but I have bought beverages that were expired. I mean, who sells old Diet Coke?

I recently had a disturbing and infuriating experience at this Cumberland Farms location. I went in…read moreto purchase two Gatorlite drinks, advertised as 2 for $5, but they rang up as $5.50. With tax, the total came to $5.94. When I pointed out that the sales tax should be $0.40, not $0.94, I was met with disbelief and outright hostility. The employees insisted that the $0.94 was the correct tax, despite it clearly being an error in their system. Instead of addressing the issue, the two employees--both of whom were of a different race than I am--ganged up on me. Their behavior quickly escalated from rude to what felt like a racially motivated attack. They repeatedly insisted "it's the tax," in a mocking tone, refusing to listen to any explanation. I was laughed at, ridiculed, and made to feel as though my concerns were invalid simply because of who I am. It felt like I was being singled out and demeaned based on my race. Eventually, they asked if I even wanted the drinks, making it clear they had no interest in resolving the situation or treating me with basic respect. What's even more concerning is that they claimed every customer is told "that's the tax" and no one ever complains. If that's true, then Cumberland Farms is potentially collecting illegal sales tax on thousands of transactions per day. Now that this review is public, if Cumberland Farms doesn't address this issue with these employees, they could be guilty of negligence and should be fined. I hope New York State gets their $0.94 tax on this transaction, which I doubt will happen under these circumstances. For reference, my receipt number is 221-2080, in case Cumberland Farms wants to do their due diligence and investigate. This was, without a doubt, the worst customer service experience I've ever had, and the fact that it appeared to be racially motivated makes it all the more unacceptable. Unbelievable that this is what customer service has come to today. I would recommend screening and better training of employee's zero stars if I could. This was definitely not about the 50 cents per transactions theft , but the principle of the matter .

I have been a customer for more than 7 years. I filled gas at 211 Troy Schenectady RD, and needed…read moreto use the restroom. The two girls at the counter said that the restroom key was with a lady who was using the ladies' restroom. I told them to give me the men's restroom they said they have only one key!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I told them I can't wait, I will pee in my pant, so they started laughing while I was suffering. I am a 75 year old diabetic person but they didn't respect my age, they were laughing. This happened today at 4:10 pm. Those employees must be fired, and the person who is responsible for training new employees must do a better job preparing the employees to deal respectfully with customers. I always look high to Cumberland Farms...I never expected this humiliation!!! My phone is: 515-708-4363

Not a good lasagna ! The frozen grocery Store Stouffers…read morelasagna is better. The meat sauce was like fine mush, and almost no cheese! Can you make it cheesier, with ricotta, Parmesan, mozzarella with no mushy pate like meat sauce ?

My wife asked me if I wanted her to bring back anything from Latham for me as she was going there…read moreto run an errand. Since I was currently listing to Food Friday on WAMC and hearing Chef Ric Orlando talk about all these different Italian dishes, the first thing that came to mind was to ask for a hot meatball sandwich. And so, she stopped at Cardona's to fulfill my request. It turned out they had hot Meatball Parm subs, small $12; large $15. I figured a large might provide leftovers. When I saw what she brought home I said "this large is definitely a two meal sub." Well, after I cut it in half and started on the first half I was surprised that the meat was not heavy. The large meatballs were not overly dense but still seemed solid. The melted parm on top was just enough to add additional flavor, and the tomato sauce was very good. The roll had a nice flavor and was sturdy enough to hold all its contents. The only negative I decided was that a little bit of the roll at each end got chewy and hard after the heating and transportation process. The biggest surprise came after finishing the first half. I thought, "I could probably finish that other half right now and enjoy it." And so, I did! YUM!
