Oh man, where do I start? I had called to see if they can smog my VW and I was told by Leo that he could and it would take about :15 from start to finish. A couple of weeks went by and I knew I was getting closer to my tags expiring so we went to another smog shop closes to my house and was told that they're no longer doing it as of 2 weeks ago but their sister shop does. We went to the sister shop and the guy in the front looked stressed and was swamped with customers! He said it would be no less than an hour wait bc they only had 1 technician. I finally told my husband let's give Leo's shop a try bc we tried shops closes to our home and it's not working out. We traveled clear across town and what do you know?! It was as though Leo was waiting for us! He was in the shop guiding us how to park in the garage. It was so fast and easy that I think it actually took :10 from start to finish! We were amazed on how quickly he did it and at a reasonable price ($60). It was like we hit the lotto with him!! Came here on accident. I was at another smog shop that was busy and told me to try Leo's, maybe they both know each other. I met Leo and he seems like a friendly guy. I told him my situation with another shop that gave me trouble. I explained to him the situation and this time I had the CARB sticker. He looked it up and said everything was good. The other place said my CARB number on the sticker was no good but they didn't understand what they were reading. Quick and easy with no issues with fair pricing. Superfast Service and very friendly. Open very early so it was convenient to get this done before work. I will definitely use him again and recommend. The waiting room is not much to look at, but the service is so fast you don't even really notice. There is a TV and a handy remote for you to change the channels yourself. Came here this morning on the 9th of February to get a smog check for my mom's 1990 Geo Prizm that is required for "Vehicle Retirement " through the Consumer Assistant Program. Leo, the owner was both friendly and efficient. You don't need an appointment, just drive right in. I was in and out 20 minuets max. Just like any place else, come early to get the job done. Leo did a spectacular job for me. I went to him as a recommendation from a family friend, and I am happy I did. When I arrived, he saw my car and let me know that because the check engine light was on, it wouldn't pass smog. I told him to go ahead and run the test so I would know the reason for the light being on. It was a bad sensor. Because of this, when I took it to a mechanic, I knew the issue, so my chances of being taken advantage of wound go down. Luckily, they found the same thing Leo had found, and replaced the faulty air main flow sensor. After all that, I took it back to Leo. He told me that the car would need at least 60 miles to reset the sensor. After the 60 miles, I took it to a family member who had a code reader, and the code reader said there were no issues. I ran over to Leo, he checked it before the smog, and sure enough no code errors, so it was safe to smog. He had the smog done in less than 10 minutes. Leo was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating with my schedule. Leo is now my families' smog guy! Thanks for a helpful and pleasant experience Leo! read more

After reading reviews on Yelp, I decided to take my 2007 BMW 335i to Leo's Smog since it is close to my office downtown. The place is run down and the service tech. was no where to be found. I was getting ready to leave when he came out and asked if he could help me. He completed the smog and asked me if my car had a turbo. I said yes, they are stock on these cars. He called a friend to ask if a turbo is stock on a 335i since he didn't know. His friend did not know either. He failed my cars smog because he stated the turbo is not stock on my car. The smog report said my car passed, but physical inspection failed my car. After explaining to him that research or a google search would show him the facts of the vehicle, he took my keys and said it is failed and if I want my keys I need to pay for the inspection. I asked what I needed to bring him to prove it is stock, and he said I don't know some type of documentation. I paid and left. I gathered all of his business information to file a formal complaint. I would expect a shop in the automotive industry to know its trade and to have adequate resources to look up information when it doesn't know something. The professional thing to do would have been to refuse to smog my car since he wasn't familiar with it. I took my car to get a smog at Smog Master the next day and it passed with no issues. I went here to get my smog because it was convenient and close to work. I strongly recommend anyone looking to get a smog to stay away from here!!! read more

I met Leo a few years back before he had his own shop and he has always been a stand up guy. I happened to be in town for a car show and my truck needed to be smogged so I stopped by to see if he could squeeze me in. As luck would have it he was able to get me in right away but unfortunately I failed due to high Nox emissions which meant I needed a new catalytic converter. I was afraid of that since I had been told after my last smog that I had passed but not by much and that I would probably need a new one soon. I called around to a couple muffler shops around town and luckily found a place that had one in stock. After that I came back and passed with flying colors.
