Wish I could give a 3.5 star! I went out for lunch by myself and I was really looking forward to be blown away by everything because of what I had heard from others. The food was inconsistent and the service was good. The Bloody Mary was excellent, thick, perfectly salty (5/5). The raw oysters were ok, a couple of them were spawning so they had the white sac on top. One was not fresh (3/5). The calamari was not hot and not crispy, just bland (2/5). The mussels were quite dry, really tiny and again not flavorful (1/5). Leo's Lobster Bisque was incredible. It came out piping hot with real lobster in it, very flavorful (5/5). Korean Sea Bass was delicious and came out piping hot! Thank you! The flavor was not Korean but the fish was perfectly cooked. I don't remember anything about the rice or veggies, they were forgetful (5/5). When they packed my leftover food at my table, they forgot to put my calamari in the bag. I ordered it mainly to save for my son so I had to drive all the way back to the restaurant to get the calamari. The manager was very professional about it and threw in some chicken tenders for my son to make up for not packing my food correctly. However, it was super inconvenient and wasted almost an hour of my busy day. Overall, I wanted to treat myself for lunch because this mama doesn't really ever get a day to herself. I spent over $100 dining alone and Leo's did not blow me away. The ambiance was warm and lovely but the food was too inconsistent for me to want to come back. It also did not help that I had to drive all the way back to the restaurant to pick up missing food. (3.5 stars) read more

First time visiting Leo's; and we had an amazing dinner. We started with the crab cake duo and they're amazing! So good, I recommend getting one just for yourself! I had the Caesar salad and personally, I would not recommend it. I didn't like the taste of the dressing honestly. For my entree, I had the surf and turf and it was delicious! My steak was cooked perfectly for my taste and the lobster tail was cooked perfectly! I enjoyed the sides that cakes with the dish, mashed potatoes and asparagus. Everything was delicious! Leo's is always my first choice for special occasions. I love everything here. Forgive me for no photos - I thought I'd already reviewed it here! This evening I had the surf n turf - the steak is always cooked perfectly, the lobster is done just right and the sides are tasty too! My husband got the halibut Oscar style - this is also one of my top choices. It comes with asparagus and harvest rice. I don't know what they put in that harvest rice but it's SO GOOD! Dana makes the best desserts in town but I'm usually too full to get them! I did once last summer and it was delightful! It was a chocolate Cherry Ice cream pie... and it was HUGE. The food was incredible and the ambiance was very nice, but the real kicker was the service. My boyfriend and I went to celebrate a late Valentine's Day and our waiter, Dwight, was extremely enthusiastic and personable. He was incredibly polite, accommodating, and professional. All the other waiters and waitresses that stopped by even said he was the best! Since the departure of Leo and any involvement of the Dolce family it is NOT the same except...the desserts are as wonderful and inventive as ever. Now on occasion, we just get them to go. However we learned during COVID no less, you cannot place a to go order on a Friday or Saturday even if it is a single dessert. read more

This isn't your basic seafood restaurant. High end cuisine focused on seafood is definitely not just upscale Red Lobster. We had shrimp risotto and the Scottish salmon and both were excellent. Highlight of the meal was the Tiramisu. We enjoyed this as much as any desert we've had in a while and there was more than enough to share. Really nice place. I went with a group of about 15 and our food was brought out promptly after ordering. Everyone enjoyed their dish. I had the ribeye, but this is mainly a seafood place. Leo's does not skimp on the ingredients. The lumps of crab included in some of the fish dishes was impressive and I left feeling thoroughly satisfied. First time having creme brûlée. Went out to Leo's for my anniversary and had a real nice time. The customer service was on point. Ambiance was lovely perfect for a romantic dinner. My husband had the surf and turf, I almost stole his plate, the stake was so good. The seafood pan roast was amazing and honestly this dishes could be shared between two people at least. We live in the San Francisco Bay Area And rarely get the type of service that we received at Leo's. From the moment we walked in the door we were greeted with warmth and professionalism. We have been talking about it ever since and that was nearly 2 weeks ago. Every staff member that we came in contact with was obviously well chosen and trained to provide excellent service. Austin was our waiter and he couldn't have been better. We ordered the brazino and the Arctic salmon. All of the fish is flown in daily and you can tell the difference. Leo's also provides a great helping of food and are very flexible about substitutions. I ordered the salmon and had two vegetables rather than the rice and vegetable. If we had been in Grand Rapids one more day on our road trip, we would've been back to Leo's! Between Leos and Meijers sculpture Gardens, we will definitely be back at some point in in the future. read more

Returned to Leo's last night for the first time since COVID. Sat at the bar and had a wonderful meal. The Manhattan Clam Chowder is the absolute best! I don't think I can eat at Leo's and not order this! So great! I ordered the scallops for my entree. They come wrapped with salmon...very unique and awesome! Dessert was a chocolate crème brûlée which was also terrific. The warm rolls with dinner were also great. Great wine list and great service along with the nice ambiance complete the experience.
