It's big and busy. The atmosphere reminds me of a diner back in the day. The service was great and all the staff were very attentive to your needs such as regular refills. The food was good as well. Let's break down what I ate, yes me. Coney dog with chili, onions and mustard was really good. The dog is some type with a slightly thicker skin and very tasty. The chili was not greasy. The two fish with french fries plate was good but I am not sure if I would get it again. The fish was a bit greasy and chewy. The batter was very light and crispy. The fries were ok. I didn't eat all the fries. The Greek salad that came with the fish plate was delicious and I would definitely get it again. In light even get it as the main meal as well. The cherry pie was good and the ice cream on the side was a perfect touch. I am not sure the pie is homemade but it was good. I would definitely come back again! read more

In short order the food was ready to go, and the price was surprisingly cheap - less than $11. The food was hot and tasted decent. I would argue that they didn't make authentic style Chicago dogs,but for the cheap price I wouldn't make an issue of it. The coney fries were a bit limp, but better than just edible. For the price? Leo's Yesterday, I was enjoying my lunch with a friend. We had a wonderful waitress. The cook forgot my toast so she was checking on it, waiting to retrieve it, while looking after other guests. To my shock, I glanced over just in time to see the owner ripping it out of her hands, scolding her, and pushing her backwards towards the kitchen . I just could not believe what I was seeing. The restaurant was very busy, and other guests were watching too. I am still in disbelief. The poor girl did nothing wrong. I am disturbed by this. A man should never put his hands on a woman. He is the owner and displayed aggression while his customers were watching. Totally unprofessional and dehumanizing. As much as I enjoy the food here, I will not be returning to Leo's. read more

A food influencer recebtly said, "You work hard for your money so when you go out and spend it on food, you deserve good food." That is the truth. Last time I rated a 2 and this time I'll give a 3. They are you average run of the mill Coney Island, but have awesome soup. I love their chicken noodle and I'm certain it's homemade. Staff are always nice. Sometime slow as they hang around talking. Food is always fine. Fries are never salted, just fried up and put on a plate. Pita bread is good, but likely not house made. It's a fine place for a quick bite if you don't have time to cool. My wife and I love this Leo's. We eat here often and are rarely disappointed. The staff knows us and often serve our beverages without our even having to ask. The food is always hot and tasty. Prices are okay and they do offer a senior discount which makes it even more affordable. This is our go to place for most meals when we eat out. read more

The food is always of a consistent quality. I can appreciate that a lot. However, what sets this place apart from most any other restaurants is how i witnessed two waitresses cleaning the booths. They used a cleaner on the table. They moved all of the stuff on the table including napkins, jam, s&p, menus and out them back. They cleaned the area between the able and the window which is about a foot deep. They cleaned the top of the seats and the floor. Extremely clean and I will return for that reason. read more

Ask for no onions on my food they brought out my food and it had onions. They took it back but I couldn't finish my food cause my husband and I had to be somewhere before the store closed. I I got mine to go to eat in the car while he went into the store eat 5 bits and the 6th bit I had an onion and I found 3 more pieces of onion in my food. So this make me think they scooped the onion off and put different chili on top to make it look like they remade it I will not come back to this Leo's agin. read more

Started with poor handicapp parking, it's all the way on the other end of the complex. Only one table...which isn't the best for accessibility either (leg right in the he middle). Anyhow, on to the food... Looked about as unappealing as it tasted (pictures attached). I got a chicken kebob...dry and the grilled veggies tasted like cardboard. The chicken wasn't much better...dry and bland. The "fresh" veggies well the tomato was grainy but at least the onion was decent. I did not get the tzaziki sauce and The would probably need a gallon to make this dish palatable. The rice tasted better than it looked but still nothing to write anyone about. Boy oh boy oh, boy. My wife and I are from California, but we both grew up in Michigan and miss some of the gems. This is one of them. While traveling through the state, we stopped in for lunch and ordered a couple of Coneys, a Greek salad and fries. With that first bite, the perfect snap of the hotdog flooded us with memories of what we missed about Michigan. One cannot get such a treat as this in California. (The closest we have to this is In-N-Out Burger and real street tacos.) The same goes for the Greek salad. It was so good. But the real treasure was that Coney dog. Oh, what I would give to have a Leo's in Southern California. So glad we stopped and relived this delicious memory. read more

I doubt that I will be back. I like my food cooked fresh. I know my food was precooked for 3 reasons. 1. I use to be a cook and know how long it takes to cook fish and chips. 2. Fries and fish were just warm not hot and crispy but 3.fries were limp and fish pieces were small and oily and did not taste very good. Waitress was decent. I thought in the past the fish and chips were considerably better. I should have tried Grecian Island's fish and chips instead. Lil Chef was closed. read more

So I didn't dine in at all here, but I'm giving it 5 stars because the tuna melt was so damn good. We were staying in the hotel across the street. We ordered lunch one day and the melt just punched me in the face with flavor and deliciousness. I wanted to walk over and shake the chefs hand. A few days later I got it again for dinner, a carry out as well, and yup, sure enough, tasty as all could be. Food was great, our waitress Cindy was awesome. Our only bad experience was with the waitress Paige that was not ours. My 5 year old spilled a drink and we immediately started to clean it up. Paige came over and offered her help. After she cleaned the mess she talked crap about us to LITERALLY every other waitress in the restaurant loud enough for us to hear... complete with the eye rolling and dirty looks in the direction of our table. I come here often and although it is cheap and quick I can not stand the serving staff. I was there for lunch the other day and they were cleaning the triangles on the leather booths during their shifts with 409. So, they had a dirty rag in their hand and scrubbing with chemicals and serving food as well. They kept talking about how gross the seats were and the scum wasn't coming off and look how dirty this towel is. Then, they bring me my salad...yum I just thought it was in poor taste to do that during a lunch shift right in front of people while eating. I'm from Boston so I've never been to one of these places before, but I think if I was from the area, I'd go here again. I stopped in for a quick lunch with my family, and although my initial impression of the place (very casual, seat-yourself, chain, almost fast-food type of place), led me to believe I'd be getting a glorified microwave meal, my actual experience was much better. Service was friendly and quick, and my vegetable stir fry tasted fresh and included a variety of veggies, not just the standard pepper and onion mix I've gotten at other places. The best part for me though, was the pita bread! It was fresh, hot, and slightly buttered, which was worlds away from the thin, tasteless pitas I usually get with Greek salads. My family, who comes often, said their spinach pie and rice pudding is delicious, so if I ever do come here again, that's probably what I'd try. read more
