I took my jag to Revv because its the only place in Wenatchee that advertises itself as an import car shop. I called last Friday and the guy didn't want to replace my compressor without a diagnostic, which is understandable. So we scheduled a diagnostic for 9:30am Monday morning. I asked him how long it would take while we were on the phone and he said it wouldn't take any longer than an hour, so I told him that I would just wait in the lobby rather than drop the car off. He said no problem. Well I get there at 9:30am Monday morning and he says "Okay it will be about an hour before we can get to it, I'll call you when it's ready." So I told him no, and I had to bring the car back at 10:30. So when I get back at 10:30 I give them the keys again, and they say "Thanks, we will call you when its ready. Hopefully we can get it done today depending on what all we have to fix." Again, I said no. I was bringing it in for a diagnostic and estimate, not to get fixed. So they finally look at the car and it sits in the parking lot for 30 solid minutes AFTER they were done looking at it before the guy would type up my estimate. I get the estimate: $1200! $311 for labor. The rest was the cost of the compressor and to recharge the AC. So when I got home I looked up the price for the EXACT SAME compressor online and found out that he had up-charged me a ton. The same compressor online is only $260 brand new. He at least doubled the price. I think it's because I'm an 18 year old girl and he thought he could scam me. The whole time I was there I felt like he was talking down to me and he was treating me like I had no clue what I was talking about. I don't know a ton about cars, nor do I pretend to, but I'm not stupid. I just called Anglers Auto Service and the guy there said I can buy the compressor myself and the estimate is only $300 which includes labor and recharging the AC. SO $560 total at Anglers vs $1200 at Revv. If I'm satisfied, which I'm sure I will be, I will take my car to Anglers every time I have a problem.

Also, the battery was bad and needed to be replaced. The battery recovered overnight after I asked for my battery back to return since it was only 12 months of the 36 month of Interstate's warranty. Manager Jay told me a car's alternator does not charge the battery. Then at the end of the next day Global Car Care called to say after the test drive it was not shifting properly so needed to replace the Steering Rack and Tie Rods of a cost of $2,069.21. I declined and picked up the car, no improvement in problem. - cost of $456.31 I then took the car to Town Toyota, they quickly identified the problem as a loose steering rack bolt that needed to be tightened. They tightened the bolt and all other cradle bolts, reset all sensors, and front wheel alignment. The total cost for Town Toyota service department to resolve problem and improve drivability in a half day was $347.10.

They finally got it in the shop about 3pm to look at it for 10 minutes and tell me my batteries were dead and that was the problem. And for $189 x2 they would replace them. (I declined as the batteries are $130 at Costco). The mechanic was very friendly and helpful with suggestions. However the owner Omar seems like a used car salesman. He will tell you anything to make the deal.
