I rushed back to my office to unwrap this creation and dig in. Thoughts: it's very moist, almost wet. Bread gets soggy quick. Lenwich is a chain restaurant serving inexpensive food. As far as I am concerned cheap eats is the only good thing about them. My potatoes were gross and my bacon was tasteless. I doused everything with salt and pepper. I took the eggs and toast and made a breakfast sandwich. I'm giving them three stars. I'll return one day to try something besides breakfast. Their bread selection is varied but they all taste like crap and fall apart as soon as a bit of moisture touches it. It all has the consistency of a very cheap roll with different names and shapes. Been a Lenwich lover for at least 10 years now, but it's clear at this point they are sacrificing the quality (and size / quantity) of their food to cut costs. My chicken cheddar sandwich (pictured) on a roll was shorter than a AA battery and barely weighed more than the paper it was wrapped in. You can also tell they've stopped using real chicken. This was clearly a bulk-bought frozen patty. Very disappointing to see what's happened with these guys, because I've been a longtime fan. The girl eventually makes her way over to the cooks to find out about the fries. 10 minutes later she calls his number and he gets his food. We leave and walk to our office. The wraps just melt in your mouth and have an amazing sauce that separates them from other sandwich shops. Most of my coworkers order there consistently and everyone at work loves it. So I tried their new Third Avenue store two nights ago for a roast beef sandwich.
