As for the front desk I have encountered it is hit and miss. Some are friendly and some are plain rude. Clear Vision has the best choices for eye wear whether you have a small budget or looking for high-end frames. Long version: My family and I have been going to Clear Vision for three years now. I really appreciate Dr. Southaphanh allowing me to have back to back appointments for my children. She is very professional but never cold. She's personable & detail oriented. I've worn glasses since a very young age but have never had such a thorough eye exam! Last year during my middle daughter's appointment, Dr. Southaphanh showed me images of the back of her retinas. She was a little concerned about a few tiny yellow spots and explained that it may be a sign of Juvenile Macular Degeneration. Dr. S recommended a second opinion by an eye specialist. I knew nothing about JMD so I asked lots of questions but Dr. S kept me calm (it's pretty scary to think your child could go blind) and answered every question so I fully understood. After taking extra time for Q&A, she then took it upon herself to personally call our health insurance to check in-network eye specialists and then personally called the specialist's office to request an appointment. I have never had a doctor of any type go to such lengths! We left that day and although I was anxious about my daughter's eyes I kept thinking how much Dr. S. truly cares about her patients. This year -a few weeks ago- my youngest daughter who is three years old had her first eye exam. She can be a little shy and I was a little worried she wouldn't be able to sit still for the exam. Dr. S. was great as usual. She is a parent herself and knew just how to keep my three year old engaged. If you're looking for a new eye doctor, I highly recommend you see Dr. Southaphanh. And Vons, with rather rude people as well, and an insistence on child lock, childproof caps on everything. And they won't change it because, they want everybody to have the same caps. So with bigger cap that's convertible, I can't fit them into my normal storage areas. Anyway not a big deal but the overwork that they suffer, the fact that there are long lines at the CVS store in Marsh and the fact that the Vons people can sometimes be rather rude as well as failing to fill some desperately needed pain medications on time, means I had to find somebody else. Luckily I found Best Care pharmacy. They have always been courteous, helpful, patient, and the place is never crowded, you never have to wait in a long line. As a matter of fact out of the five times I've been there I have only had to wait once for one person in front of me. They are very well staffed. According to the manager, the pharmacy and its medical equipment store has a total of 20 employees. The only thing they lack is what we used to call a fountain back in the '50s and '60s. That's where you could get a soda, a root rear float, a banana split, or a real milkshake. Not a foam shake like you get from McDonald's or in and out burger. But a real milkshake. Anyway my mind is wandering. They're a great place for prescriptions and medical equipment. Try them. You will like them.

I am sad to say we cannot recommend this local, independently owned pharmacy. We switched our…read morefamily's prescriptions over to JDX after Rite Aid closed in our town. We wanted to support a local business. I recently required several prescriptions postop for a knee replacement. There was some drama in that, whatever system JDX is using to process insurance claims was showing me as having no insurance (we called and confirmed with our prescription coverage that I do indeed have insurance). Even with that, we were willing to continue using JDX as cash payment customers. Last week, my surgeon called in a refill of my pain medication. They received the prescription on Tuesday, by the following Monday when I had not received notification that it had been filled, I called inquiring if they had received it. I was then told that the pharmacist needed to speak with my doctor. The girl on the phone stated they needed some more information since I was not an established customer (they had just filled four of my prescriptions five weeks earlier). About 20 minutes later I received a phone call from the pharmacist, grilling me about why I needed this medication (mind you, this was the exact same prescription they had given me five weeks earlier, with no questions asked ). Understanding that it is a narcotic and a controlled substance, I was happy to answer all of his questions. Then he wanted more detail on a known allergy to a similar pain medication that I used several decades ago. Then he wanted to know if I use another pharmacy... I explained that we have an online pharmacy that I use for maintenance medications in which I received a 90 day supply. Our intention has always been to use JDX for those incidental, short term prescriptions that we need from our doctors (we have used this same set-up with other pharmacies, with no issue). He asked why I did not have this prescription for my pain mediation filled online, I explained that I did not need a 90 day supply, and we wanted to fill it locally. The pharmacist then informed me that I needed to either switch all of my medications over to JDX, including the online prescriptions, or not use JDX at all. We opted to discontinue using JDX and will be transferring all of our prescriptions to another local pharmacy. This has been a very disappointing experience.
