My daughter is in college and we've been trying to get these contacts for several MONTHS. My son and I had eye exams today at this LensCrafters for the first time and all I can say is we were both WOWed by the service we received from Wade! The independent optometrist located in this LenseCrafters is good (Dr. Salter). She was very thorough and offered us all options. Kate, the store manager, deserves accolades as well! Kate is an allstar, running the store and keeping everyone happy at the same time. Wade was incredibly helpful. He assisted us with finding the "right" frames for us and ones within our budget too, he patiently reviewed the insurance as well as the pricing and promotions. As usual, we left buying more than we expected; however, I don't view that as anything bad. As a former Manager of Sales, myself, I know it's a good sign when customers leave purchasing more items than originally anticipated. Lydia Thiel-Ring Is by far unprofessional, and rude. While doing my eye exam. She asked me what contacts I wanted ( daily , every two weeks or the monthly) I told her I needed to know what my insurance would cover - She proceeded to tell me " WE NEED TO WRAP THIS UP I HAVE OTHER PATIENTS TO SEE! WTF ... I was in a state of shock - I'm not the type of person that would ever allow someone to disrespect me ! I replied what exactly does that mean . She replied again "I DONT HAVE TIME TO GO OVER THIS WITH YOU I HAVE OTHER PATIENTS TO SEE! She walks up front to ask the receptionist who was the nicest person in that store about my eye benifits and that point I was done I was not giving this store none of my money !! She tells me we are not done with the exam ! Then she basically cut it short . I asked the receptionist for the corporate office- she could not find it. I made sure I got this racist doctor's name. I told my mother what happened she was so upset , she called the store manager KATE and basically got the run around about Lydia Thiel-Ring behavior. Basically calling me a liar!! I been in the medical field for over 20 years and I never had a health professional come at me in this manner . I was the 1st patient at 10 am. Just picked up glasses in Warrington,PA and was helped by a short slim man with glasses in his thirties. I asked to use the restroom and he told me was out of order. Told him was fully vaccinated he just completely ignored me. Thought that was strange but let it go. He brought me glasses and I said "They seem okay." He replied "What why are you saying that? Why wouldn't they be." Huh? Isn't that why I was trying them on? Just weird experience and he was so rude and snarky. I had just spent close to $800 there. Will never go there again. This is my go-to glasses store. I've had nothing but great experiences with their in-house optometrists and the front staff who sell the actual glasses. I love the availability of appointments and how quick I can get in and out. They have a great selection of frames and I love how easy it is to maximize my insurance benefits in my purchase. My most recent visit was another example of why I won't hesitate to return next year. Marianne was amazing. She worked with me through various permutations until I got exactly the pair of glasses I wanted at a price that I was comfortable with. I also want to give a shout-out to Jossie, who I've seen there frequently over the years, who is always helpful and full of good humor. I had an eye exam for contact lens renewal with retinal imaging. Dr. Schueller-Gruzin is so amazing. She found me a better prescription after over a decade with the same prescription, and paid close attention to my slight astigmatism. She also recommended better frames for glasses in response to my concerns that my glasses had been making me dizzy. I am forever grateful. She was efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. Her sales counterpart, Jossie was fantastic. She found me the best deals, discounts and rebates for my contact lens brand (night and days), working with my insurance to get me the most benefit, and was so helpful and sweet. I had to leave lens crafters due to my employers insurance but I am so glad I can go back now! read more

Her wonderful idea was to get my glasses at her store but ship it to a store that's 8 hours away near me and have me wait a week to get my glasses instead of checking to see if the store near me sells them. This store does not know what they are doing! Not only do they no know how to make the lenses, when you can't see out of them, they will swear they are to the Rx, when they are not! Mine had the left and right eyes reversed, then left eye strength off, then right eye axis off by 14 degrees. Every time they said they were correct but i kept taking them back to my doctor because no matter what they said, I COULD NOT SEE. My doctor wrote them a note with exactly what was wrong and the readings were not to the Rx, so they do not tell the truth, or can't read lenses. read more

I tagged along with my son (22) because he wanted a second opinion on new frames. He also needed a check-up so he could get more contacts. First time at Lens Crafters. The staff there is exceptional! Even though they were busy, several staff members helped my son pick the perfect frames. They were professional, personable, and really helpful. We were there for about an hour-and-a-half, which is about the right amount of time. This store had several customers there, but we felt like we were the only customers. For sure, we will go nowhere else. read more

Went there several times trying to get new lenses for my current glasses and they couldn't get my prescription right. After messing it up again, I ended up having to have my old script replicated because I couldn't see well in the "new" one. Total ripoff, because they threw out my old lenses which already HAD that script, and the new ones I got didn't have the transitions (tinting) because it was a substantial upcharge. So, I basically ended up with worse glasses than I started and paid for it on top of everything. Throwing money away. Would've been better off where I started or finding better doctors/optometrists. I won't make that mistake again. read more

Exam for contacts was quick but less than accurate. Prescription is not perfect. Also they tried different contact style as a test. They didn't work. They then said what they provided for the test were the wrong size & they charged me for their error. Finally their contact lens pricing was double that of any legitimate online seller. Lens Crafters suck! Got my prescription wrong two years ago. This year they got it wrong FOUR times. I complained and finally called corporate headquarters and was told someone would call me back. Lenscrafters will tell you you get a discount based on your insurance, but don't believe it. At the end of your contract for glasses, you will wind up paying more than the retail price. Went to the Better business bureau about this issue and Lenscrafters blew us off. Not nice to do that to customers who spend over $900.00 in glasses a year. Go to Costco, they won't lie to you. That's where we will be taking our very expensive glasses to every year from now on. read more

Helpful and friendly. When it came time for the $bill it was nearly $700. my quote had been around $440 as was the quote I'd gotten from Visionworks. I protested, she said she couldn't do anything on her end. I said see what you can do, you have my phone# and I left. I called cust svs.. When regional rep. called me he was ready to give me roughly the original quote relating to the options I had selected. The quality was horrendous...frames were unstable and within 2 weeks I had lens scratched and the glaze was wearing off in spots. I thought I'd save $110 my last 2 pairs from a private practitioner each lases FIVE YEARS without scratched or missing glaze. I noticed hinge on the right earpiece was glued poorly with an obvious gap of 1.6mm. I went to the store and was told I had no insurance!!!. I clearly wanted it and the rep who took my order had the information but failed to add insurance. I was horrified. No resolution on the phone. Went back several times over the next 3 months, mostly at Montgomeryville Mall... very nice and got adjustments but they only last for a couple of weeks and glasses are all over my face slipping down and the lenses both shit and need to be popped back in. I had to let go and take the loss. Been wearing glasses 55 years and know a thing or 2. I believe many of their customers simply don't have the concerns I have because they've never experienced higher quality. Mine are absolutely unacceptable. FYI - My friend got very similar glasses there with same options except bifocals, mine are trifocals w/no line. He paid over $700. I left a similar review a few months ago and Lens crafter had it removed. My account still shows 2 reviews but only the other one remains. I would give them less than 1 star. I never write reviews but this was a particularly bad experience. I work in healthcare myself and I've never had a more rude and misleading experience in my life. The per-diem optometrist was so rude and I didn't even get my prescription. Do not recommend this place at all. read more

I ordered the glasses with the prescription lens on 03Mar2015. I was told the glasses and lens are not available in the store and need to be order from the warehouse. It will take about 7-10 business days. Today is 26Mar2015 and I still haven't heard a thing from the store. No one follow up with the customer when the item is not available within the promise timeline. Not sure what the people are doing at the store all day, consider I pass by the store all the time and not a single customer in there. I have to call them myself. After first week, they told me it is still at the warehouse, and it is being shipped and in transit the last 2 weeks. I called the store again today and spoke with the manager. This time they finally got the frame, but did not have the lens available at the store. Well, I thought that was supposed to be order with the glasses the day I was in the store? I can't remember how many pairs of glasses I have order in the past 15 years, but it never took this long. read more
