I didn't necessarily see many different styles, but I was more in the mood for inexpensive, so Eyemart fit the bill. There appeared to be lots of regulars so that was nice. I went to go pay, and then, duh, thought to ask about insurance, discovering my glasses would be free with my plan. Well, ummm, maybe we could have started there? I thought it kind of odd that my optician didn't ask upfront if I had insurance...maybe that's a rarity these days? Or she didn't want to pry? I don't know...but I almost paid $100 when I didn't have to! Whew, glad I caught that one. I walked out with two frames, both ready within an hour. I may be returning though, because I'm not sure the lens perscription is right, but that's not Eyemart's fault...that's my optometrist's department.

The other pair have had the lenses fall out THREE times. Just took them out of the case and BOTH lenses fell on the floor again! These are not unusually thick glasses and only ground for distance and no bifocals or anything else. Somebody there does not know how to grind glasses to fit in the frames. This has happened so often that I had to go to another optical company and get a pair made b/c these things are falling out of the frames even while I was trying to drive at night, when I need them. If you depend on your glasses to be able to see, and use them reliably, I would not recommend going to this place!! The pair I bought at a differnet optical company have been fine.

I was fitted for soft contact lenses after wearing gas permeable lenses in the past. He was patient with my deciding which lens combination gave me the best vision. I'm a young senior who no longer needs help seeing distant objects, but still requires reading glasses or appropriate contact lenses. Very efficient & friendly staff as well as a pleasant office in Fairfield. I am pleased & trust my eye health with this doctor.

Small, cramped waiting area. Chaos and confusion. We were waiting way to long after the 1st initial eye exam...at least 30 to 40 minutes to be seen by the doctor. Not enough seating in the office waiting area. Dr Kenkel did what I thought was a thorough exam complete with a retinal scan & a concerning finding (for us not him) on the scan. I left the office frazzled to say the least. The next day my husband gets a call from Dr Kenkel saying he made a mistake. What he thought was going on in one of my husband's eyes was a SMEAR ON THE LENSE. WTAF?? I will never go there again. I want all of my money back! Terrible!!

I have been to this store several times because of random issues I've had in my apartment, and the staff here are incredibly friendly. As soon as anyone walks in the door they ask what you are looking for, and as long as they aren't swamped, they will come help you find whatever you are searching for. The aisles are nicely laid out with signs displaying what is where. Prices are reasonable, and even if they were more expensive than a standard hardware store, I'd honestly come here first anyways. I've gone in for a standard extra key being made, to a toilet flapper, and one time in an emergency I even took the door lock off the door and to the store. My key no longer worked, and the property couldn't get out that day to fix it because of several emergencies. I unscrewed the deadbolt lock, and walked in with an exasperated look on my face. The staff immediately came to my aid and picked out a new lock for me. Awesome. I love this place, and it makes me want to be a rehabber or DIY pro just so I can go in here to buy more stuff!

I highly recommend this place if you, like me, have need for corrective lenses. I initially picked…read morethis place because it was near work and some coworkers raved about how awesome Dr. Brenda Murray is. I no longer work quite so close to Evendale, but I still make the yearly trek here to have my vision checked. Dr. Murray is an absolutely delightful person who does a great job making sure you will be able to see properly. Also, she either keeps super detailed notes or just has an amazing memory, because she will remember little details about you from visit to visit. That is not something I've found to be a common trait in many doctors. The place is a bit off the beaten path. But if you can find the light at the Wendy's on Reading in Evendale, that is where McSwain Drive is- across from the Wendy's, all the way up the hill, and then to the right. As a side note, I've also gotten some of the cutest glasses I've ever worn from them. Not only that, but whenever the awesome lady is who picks out frames for you to try (sadly I forget her name) has handed me a pair and said, "Oh, this would look cute on you." And sure enough, that was the pair I walked away purchasing. Usually I am stuck in an eye doctor's office for at least an hour, hemming and hawing over which frame to buy, but not here. And that has happened twice so far in the last 3 or 4 years I have been going here.

I got glasses here recently…read more First of all, they never notified me when my glasses were in. I called them asking "You've had my money for three weeks now where are my glasses?" And they said oh yeah, they came in a week ago. I said shouldn't someone have mentioned that to me? They said oh yeah well our notification system was on the fritz so sorry not sorry. So I picked up my new glasses one week late. Got them home and realized the lens was loose in one of them. Due to my work schedule, I was not able to make it into their office again until the following Saturday. Which is today. I arrived at 1:41 PM. on their door. It says they close at 2 PM. There's no one here the door is locked. I do not recommend this place. I feel that they are unprofessional and I'm definitely going to get glasses somewhere else next time.
