If I had sent my previous review, I would like to recall that review. I may have sent it TOO EARLY the day of my appointment - I SPOKE TOO SOON about this place. I was told that I would get all my 3 glasses ready in two weeks at the most including my own frame that I wanted the lenses replaced. It is now almost 3 weeks; one of my glasses is still not ready. I called after 2 weeks, I was told the lenses for my own frame have not arrived yet. i called the second time I believe it was on July 25th, I was told the lenses have not arrived yet. I called again on July 28, I was told the lenses will arrive tomorrow (that would be July 29). I called on July 30, I was told the lenses have arrived but "somebody" has to cut it and it should be ready on Thursday, that would be July 31st. I called August 1st, now I was told they had to send it back because one of the lenses has scratches. So I have to wait again for another who knows 2 more weeks. I am very disappointed with the service, this is my first time and I will never return to this place. GO SOMEWHERE not LensCrafters - away from this place. read more

I always go here for new glasses. The staff are really well trained in what they do and are very friendly. There is a huge selection of frames to choose from. Once, my eye doctor gave me the wrong prescription. I had glasses made and everything was completely blurry. They took the glasses back to exchange for the proper prescription with no problem. This is the worst eye care business the employees are are not professional nor do they return phone calls. I have been dealing with them since September 2023 (not using their names) the Asian lady ordered the wrong size of contact for my right eye and the wrong color for my left eye. I have walked in looking for the manager which is never there. I have called left messages several times. I was told each time the manager will call me back which has not happened. the tall girl who has extremely thick black eyeliner was supposed to fix my glasses while I was waiting to be seen the eye doctor over an hour she never fixed them she was to busy standing around doing nothing. Waited for the eye doctor over 35 minutes he never attended me. The Asian lady also told me to call the contact distributor, she gave me their contact number. She told me ask them to fix my contacts. I called them a couple times they told me they don't dial will the clients and for me to go back to Lens craft and have them call. This has been happening for 7 months. read more

Bad customer service. I walked in and the female employee didn't acknowledge me or greeted me. I waited and waited She kept on talking about her Personal Life which i don't care to know about her personnel life. She kept talking to a male patient. I waited and waited listening to their personal life conversation. Until I finally told her that she had bad customer service she didn't even cared, she was more into the personal conversation with the man. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly. My husband and myself desperately needed our eyes checked, and new glasses. Both times we were greeted promptly by a friendly member of the staff. My husband is very analytical and loves to do tons of research before making a decision. The staff here has been wonderful not pushy in anyway. So, my girlfriend decided to come to LensCrafters to get her contact lens exam. Despite having to wait a little while to been seen, even when he had a appointment, it was what you would expect. When ordering her contacts is when we had a problem. They asked how we wanted the contacts to be sent, to her house, or to LensCrafters. We let the lady know that we wanted the contacts to be delivered to LensCrafters and she let us know it would take about a week to get there. She then told us that she would call us when they got there. One week passed. No call. Two weeks passed. No call. We finally call her and ask her what happened and she lets us know that they actually sent the contacts to her house. That's alright, we ask her when they would get there. She said they were delivered already. It turns out they actually sent them out, but to the wrong address. Which was completely different from her actual address. We have no idea where she got that address. She lets us know they will order new ones. Two weeks later, still no call. I would recommend staying clear of this location. They obviously don't know what they are doing. read more

So my wife has been coming here for the past few years, and seeing the excellent service from the doctor here I switched as well. I have worked in Healthcare for 25 years but this doctor stands out in her dedication to her practice and care for her patients. She clearly cares about her patients. The most recent example was this past week when, after her first trial of contact lenses, my wife lost one. She suspected it was still in her eye and irritated her eye "digging" for it. The next day, with a sore, red eye she called the Dr. She was willing to come into the office after hours, examine her. Foubf that she had several severe abrasions, ulceration to her cornea. Then spent an hour calling around to find a pharmacy that was open and had the needed antibiotics in stock. Even making sure to find one which accepted our insurance. This level of dedication is unique and impressive. Additionally, the eye mapping technology they employ is outstanding and something I've never seen at tye fancier, boutique eye doctors. They have a good selection of frames and capable opticians to fit and size you. Overall, very pleased read more

The Optometrist at this location is HIGHLY incompetent! She checked my eyes and provided a prescription that made me see worse than with no correction at all. When I returned to complain, the doctor said she would make some adjustments. The new prescription came in and was worse than the first one! I spent hundreds of dollars for lenses I couldn't use. After going to an opthalmolegists, I found that the lenscrafters doc didn't know what she was doing. My opthomolegist told me the prescription was the worst she had ever seen. It was so far off that I was suffering from migrains! Don't go to the Salinas Lenscrafters if you value your eyesight, and your money! read more

I purchased two pair of glasses at Lens Crafters in Salinas at Northridge Mall. They sent me a message stating that the glasses for reading came in, so I went to pick them up. OMG I could not even see out of them, the girl says put them down far on your nose and move the computer or reading material closer to your face. I said " I do not wear my glasses like that, and I have glasses so that I do not have to put things up really close to my face to be able to read. I paid $770 for two pair of glasses, and then they want to tell me how to wear them. Due to their measurement mistakes. I said I did not pay $770 so that I cannot see out of them. Last time I went they put the wrong prescriptions in my sun glasses and reading glasses. Every time I go there, they have a different doctor and staff. They are so unprofessional, the Dr. thought I was there to listen to his jokes, that he screwed up while telling it. He quickly said that the was done with my vision test. SO GLASSES WERE RETURNED TO FIX, WAIT ANOTHER 14 DAYS.ABSURD..........I WOULD GIVE THEM A ZERO, BUT I GUESS 1 IS THE LOWEST SCORE. read more

had a great experience here i mostly dealt with the manager, really great guy helped me with the deal they had to figure out which pair of glasses would cost more and had that charge to my insurance and i paid out of pocket for the cheaper 2nd pair gave me advice and was honest on the insurance for them, also advice how to clean them and maintain them if i need another pair in the future i'll be coming here again, thanks! read more

My fiancé and I came into lens crafters with a broken pair of frames . I am basically blind and was so sad. Not to be dramatic, but it was so sad. Lol. Anyways, Johnny looked at my glasses and found the exact pair within two seconds . The glasses normally were around 400, and the thought of having to replace them and pay that because we are out of town and they are the only frames that fit my lenses, was extremely stressful but necessary. Johnny was able again to swiftly find a way to make the glasses only cost 25 dollars. Today is Good Friday, and it has become a Good Friday indeed. Vote Johnny for president. I highly recommend seeing him when you come in if you want to be in and out and helped with real customer care. read more

I am visiting and last night lost one of the screws on my SunGlasses. Stopped by the mall to see if someone could help me with it on my way to the beach . I first went to Sun Glass Hut inside Macy's they couldn't help lol. Thought let's try here , I don't know her name but I just walked in and she greeted us with a Smile and asked what help we needed . She took the Sun Glasses, asked us to have a seat , fixed it , wiped it clean and when I asked how much I owe you . She said it's just a small screw don't bother . This review is for their lab: we used them to fill our 20 month old's new prescription (which we got from a pediatric ophthalmologist). We brought our old miraflex frames she was already in and Jane told me their lab was very experienced cutting the baby and toddler lenses. They finished them in a couple hours and they looked great and they did not damage our frames. Not many places can cut the small lenses or keep them in stock so if you have a baby in glasses this would be a good place to try. Last time we ordered lenses, it was through her ophthalmologist's office and it took 2 1/2 weeks for them to come in and they didn't have a lens protection plan. Our toddler is really rough on her glasses so they got pretty scratched so this time we got the 1 yr protection plan lenscrafters offers. I had the worst experience ever. I went to get my daughters prescription for her contacts and had her eyes examined there for contacts in May of this year. Lens crafters would not give me her prescription and said that I had to have a new exam. I told them that I needed her prescription and that it had only been 6 months and they refused. I would not recommend using them unless you have to. Walmart or Costco gives way better service. No eye insurance will pay for you to get an exam every 6 months. Never again!! read more

I came here for the first time and the staff was great, but I recently lost my glasses, can't see a thing. Times are crazy so I called asking about getting my prescription so I can buy some cheap glasses since my insurance doesn't allow new frames yet. The person who answered the phone told me they were really busy so he could help me immediately which is fine...so 2 days go by and I call back asking for help again, stating I was waiting for a call back, the person said they were the only person on the floor and they had a lot of phone calls to get back to......sounds like an excuse to me they probably just forgot but oh well I didn't leave my name or number again cause I would think they would eventually get back to me, it has now been 14 days no call back. the person suggested I come in that would be better, so it would be easier for me to just walk in and wait instead of just waiting on the phone for help? Kinda hard when you work full time and they have adjusted hours. I've now put on my old prescription and I guess I'll be using those till my insurance kicks back in and I can go somewhere else where they will actually call back when they say they will instead of lying about how many people they have to call back and NEVER calling you back. This location is terrible. I felt the Dr. Was completely incompetent. They dislates MY eyes and asked me to go look at frames. Which makes no sense as my eyes are becoming sensitive by the second. I have always felt that LensCrafters was overpriced, but they made up for it with service and speed. Well, they lost me as a customer today. I had an eye exam with the doctor there today, and that went really well. Apparently, I've been wearing my contacts too much, and she advised that I take them out and wear my glasses for the next several weeks. The reason I went to LensCrafters is because I needed the glasses today. I could not find my current pair, and knew that if I went anywhere else it would take at least a week to get my glasses. I was willing to spend a little more, but expected their famed one hour service. I told the optician this as she was fitting me. So, I hung around the mall for an hour and 15 minutes, and when I did not receive a call, I went to find out how much longer it would take. She went back to check and then came out to tell me that because of the options I selected it would take 7 to 10 days, not one hour. I'm fairly certain I could have gotten the exact same glasses at Costco for half the price. So, if you are after a cheap pair of glasses and need them quick, feel free to go overpay at LensCrafters, but if you want any quality touches added to your lenses, go somewhere else because you will not save any money or time at LensCrafters. read more

I am done going to this place for eye exams. They are NEVER on time. Here I sit ONE HOUR and 15 min. after my appointment time and I still have not seen the optometrist. This is NORMAL for them! They have excuses like the walk in's put them behind, but if this is the case, they should not take the walk in's and tell them to make an appointment like the rest of us. This has happened time after time with myself and other family members. If there are zero stars, that is what they would get. read more

Just avoid this place at all costs. The doctors and staff are not interested in helping you. After faxing in my prescription and calling to confirm that it was received I waited 30 minutes when the place was completely empty just for the doctor to tell me I do not have a current prescription on file then she proceeds to tell me that my frames are cracked and twisted and in her professional opinion are not fit to have new lenses put in and tried to sell me new frames. One week later I went to the lens crafters in Fresno and they put in new lenses and said my frames were fine. read more
