Fimbres' demeanor towards me was extremely hostile, apathetic, and negligent (Completely unprovoked and immediate): (1) He rushed me through my eye exam - invading my personal space and yelling at me to hurry up (2) He intentionally gave me an incorrect, lower prescription for my glasses - stating "that I should wear these to prevent eye strain" (3) He laughed at me and rushed me out of his office when I expressed my concerns I filed a complaint with the California Board of Optometry, Central California Alliance, and VSP for medical malpractice: https://www.optometry.ca.gov/formspubs/complaint.pdf https://thealliance.health/for-members/member-services/file-a-grievance/ https://www.vsp.com/contact-us/grievance Please avoid this place - this is a no brainer guys. That wasn't my first time going there it was prob my 3rd time going but after that messed up thing he did I didn't go back. I was only interested in going to that office because I was recommended by a family member who used to work there for many years. Dr. Penrose is very knowledgeable, extremely patient and was willing to spend his time answering all my questions (I had many) to ensure I felt at ease with the procedure and what I could expect result wise for my vision after surgery. Jessica who coordinates and schedules surgery dates, after surgery follow up appointments, details on medication, eye drops, after surgery care, booking the surgery center is exceptional and went out of her way to accommodate appointment times and dates to fit into my schedule.
