I've been wearing classes all my life and therefore I ask lots of questions and when I pick up my glasses, I don't just pick them up, I have them put them on me and adjust them. Needless to say I needed to go back as I wasn't satisfied for several reasons with the glasses I chose. Jennifer worked with me very closely, taking the time to figure out why I didn't like the glasses and what wasn't working so that she could satisfy me. She answered all the questions I had and helped me find the right frames that would work with my prescription. I was extremely satisfied, but again I think it's important to ask questions and ask for help. read more

I deiced to try a new place and went in for a quote & they have me one price decided to make the appointment then I ended up having to pay way more then they originally told me. I had also asked the estimated wait for the trial contacts and they had told me 2-3 weeks which was fine it has been a month now since I have been waiting for them and I decided to call to see when they would come in and now it is resulting that they said 4-8 weeks which was never mentioned. Never Disappoints! Today I stopped by LensCrafters in Del Monte shopping center to have my eyeglass frames tightened. My glasses kept falling off my face onto the ground when I was gardening or on the floor when I was picking something up. So annoying! Well, the technician at LensCrafters fixed my frames perfectly--warmed up the stems of the frames to bend carefully and removed the jerry-rigged copper wire I had stuck into the hole where a screw had been. I was genuinely elated when my insurance changed and I didn't have to come here anymore. Unfortunately, now insurance changed again so I'm back ... the first appt back and nothing has changed. Still same issues as 2-3 years ago. If the doctors is running behind you will sit and wait forever but they only give you a 5 min grace period. I had an appointment scheduled for today, 12/30 at 12:20 that was made online over 6 months ago and was confirmed with me online by LensCrafters on December 28th. I showed up for my appointment, said my name and and the employee at the counter said, "we don't have a doctor until January 4th". Another employee yelled to her from across the lobby, "oh, was the appointment made online?" I said it was and the other employee said "you should have gotten a call canceling this appointment, I don't know when but we can't help you". I wear contacts and need to order new ones and cannot because my appointment was canceled and my prescription can't be renewed. Your company's lack of communication and rude employee behavior is inexcusable. There was no attempt to accommodate me, no apology and no solution offered. I'm furious and I'm now in a bind. I made two appointments for eye exams and new glasses for my husband and myself. Myself earlier than my husbands. Everything fine no waiting but then everything went downhill from there. A girl gave me 4 eye tests and no problem. The optometrist came in and I'm sorry do not remember her name. She was an Asian woman in her 30's. She rushed me from the very start. Never gave me time to check my vision with the eye equipment she was using. I am neither slow or have any disability with being slower. I mean no offense to anyone. I told her twice to please slow down so I could give her accurate information. She never listened. After the third time I just got up and told her enough you're not listening. Walked out and saw there was quite a few people waiting. Obvious what happened. I now know why they have 2 stars. Very poor service. Thank you. read more

I booked an appointment for contact lens fitting. Suzie at the front is very professional, she answered all my questions over the phone. Upon arrival the place was very busy with some difficult customers, and she remained calm and kind. I was pleasantly surprised by all the machines they have to test your vision! I was worried I had to have my eyes dilated and wouldn't be able to drive or attend my online classes after. Not an issue! They have a machine that takes photos of your eyes for the Dr. to review! SO GREAT. DR. Michelle Nguyen was very professional and caring. She answered all my questions and had a gentle touch! For a first time contact wearer she put in the contacts so easily! Immediately after meeting with the DR. you sit with an associate to learn how to put your contacts in and out of your eyes about four times. I believe her name was Suvih? She was also really great! She was patient as I struggled/freaked out about touching my own eye. Very happy as over a year ago I went to another eye doctor in Ryan Ranch, and they talked me out of getting contacts because they "didn't have time" to discuss it. I learned a lot about my eyes that I was never told before and she took the time to explain so many details and options with contacts. She's also just very friendly and super easy to talk to. Sales staff tried to shaft me on ordering lenses, told me certain things weren't more money, then when I complained I was on a budget she removes something on the order, then says it reduced the bill. This was right after she claimed that extra service was FREE. Talk about bait and switch! I don't even think my lens script is correct. I just saw the EOB they submitted to insurance, outrageous fees here. Go elsewhere, oh and they won't let you use a bathroom here either. This review is for LensCrafters Monterey. Paid the deductible to have my lenses replaced under warranty. My wife picked them up while I was working. When I opened the bag I noticed the frames were broken and had been glued. They never mentioned they had broke them and tried to cover it up. I called immediately and spoke with the manager (Lega) who argued with me and was hesitant to order a replacement pair which she finally did. When I called to let them know I was coming in to pick them up, they refused to release them until "Lega" was there. It will cost me 5 times the price of the glasses to close my business to drive to Monterey and get the replacement pair to work around Legas schedule. I spent over $4500.00 in the last year with them. This store is crooked and dishonest. They're nice to you as they take your money but beware if you have an issue. When I was in the 5th or 6th grade a mobile white large van would come around our middle school to test every one's sight.... thankgoodness! I used to play tennis daily and take lessons all the time... I couldn't understand why my coach would yell at me when she asked, "Did you see where that ball went?" I would respond, "No." She would get furious. WTF? Finally, she said, "Maybe you should get your eyes checked." So I did, not on my own accord but thanks to the school. Yep. I definately needed some assistance. We went to Lens Crafters and Eye Exam 2000 since no one in my family ever had any vision problems and I got my first pair of glasses and contacts. I bought glasses because I was told to but I never wore them since they made me dizzy (yeah my vision is that bad). Since I was so active at the time, it just made sense to wear contacts and I have for the last 15 or so years! Although I haven't been in years the service was always very friendly and pretty quick. We moved here 3 years ago and until then I had been going to the same eye doctor for 20 years. I needed new contacts so for convenience I went here without really doing my research. First clue they are incompetent was when the guy took my blood pressure and it was WAY off. Like WAY off. I am in the medical field, no way is my BP 190/100. I am a healthy female in my late 20's and I check my pressure regularly enough (also, if this was really my pressure I would hope the doctor would have been a little more concerned about me having a stroke in her chair instead of just telling me to "get that checked") The worst part is how off my prescription ended up being. After about a month with my new lenses I drove 3 hours to go see my old eye doctor because I needed someone I trusted, turns out my left eye was a completely different prescription than my right (should have been -2.50 not -3.75!) The turnaround was swift, despite my prescription being very challenging (management made a special appeal to the lab) and selection of frames quite adequate. Managers Kristin Birkenback and Elaina deserve special mention. Understanding my plight, they oversaw the proceedings and had my order filled within an hour. Heretofore a little wary of Lens Crafters, owing to the exacting requirements of my prescription, I shall be returning to this establishment for kitting out with computer glasses and sunglasses. read more

I was a little hesitant to go to Lenscrafters for my glasses based on reviews on Yelp, but I have a small face that is hard to fit, so need a big selection. I am so happy I gave them a shot because the service was really excellent. I had to go in three times because there was a hiccup with my insurance (my doctor's fault) so I worked with a few different people and each one was super helpful and friendly. I got exactly what I needed with minimal waiting. I would have given them 5 stars, but management needs to pay attention to the condition of the store. The chair I was in for my fitting was held together with tape and looked pretty ratty. A bit of a refresh would really help them. I went in and waited for a long period of time while the associate helping me also helped others even though about 5 people were working. I was promised a price over the phone and in writing that they then said they couldn't meet. Pros: Easy to schedule appointments for eye exams, cost of eye exam $25 less than at Costco, great selection of frames, helpful/friendly customer service, thorough and proficient exam Cons: Expensive frames and contact lenses. I ordered my glasses about 6 weeks ago. So far, no glasses have materialized, and there is no estimated arrival date. Received 1st phone call about ten days after my order. The man said, "Your frames are in, you can come pick them up anytime! No, wait...." (puts me on hold for ten minutes) ...Your frames are in, but the lenses haven't been made yet. We'll call you when they come in. After a week or so, I called LensCrafters to see if my glasses were ready. Spoke with a woman this time, who again put me on hold for ten minutes, and then said the lenses were ready, but the frames hadn't shipped yet. I told her I'd received the opposite news a week ago. She said, I'm sure you misunderstood. I said, no, he was very clear. Are you sure you have the right information? She said, you are mistaken. No one here would have told you that. At this point, I am getting annoyed. This woman couldn't just apologize for the confusion, she instead assumes I'm a liar? And why would I lie? So I ask when the glasses will be ready. She says, I don't know. We'll call you when they come in. I wait another three weeks. No word from LensCrafters. Today, I call to find out the haps. I speak with a woman, who puts me on hold for ten minutes, and comes back to say my lenses are ready, but my frames aren't in yet. She apologizes for the unusually long amount of time it's taken and promises to research what's going on. I thanked her and hung up. About six weeks ago, my dog chewed my current pair of glasses into oblivion. I still wear them, but they are in embarrassingly bad shape. I'd really like to get my new glasses. If you are there to buy, you'll be treated like a queen. If you're just there to repair..... meh. You'll get the "sorry we can't help you with anything... UNLESS YOU BUY A NEW PAIR." They won't take your need/help seriously. The only solution they suggest right away without even listening to your need is BUYING. Businesses (or employees) have to remember that they'll get MORE (sell more) not by good selling skills but by good customer service. But they said I had to pay additional $25 to get the PD information and also they asserted that they measure PD when patients buy glasses. What a joke! Not impressed with this lens crafters. We waited 45 minutes to talk to the manager to ask a simple question about glasses we bought at their establishment. The first lady we asked when we entered the store was Petra, she told us she would ask the manager and to wait. We waited for about 20 minutes then we approached short hair lady and told her our situation. She then went to the laboratory to ask them if they could do what we wanted to do with the glasses, came back immediately and said they could do what we were asking for but had to get the approval from the manager. She then went back to the office, I presume to ask the manager. She then helped customers. 40 minutes now have passed and we then ask Petra again, who was at the counter. She was very rude and told us just to sit down. We saw the manager talk to two walk in customers as we were patiently waiting and could tell she was ignoring us. The short hair lady came to the desk and we asked her yet again... She apologized and acknowledged that we were waiting for such a long time already. She went to the manager and kindly interrupted the session with the manager even if she was with a client to explain our situation. Two minutes later she came back with an answer.... Unfortunately it was not an answer we liked, but it took two minutes. I would rate the lady with short hair four stars for great customer service and the rest a 1 star. Totally agree with the other reviewers.. If it's a new pair of glasses they will entertain you, but if not... Don't waste your time coming here... But if you do... Look for lady with really short hair -boys cut. You won't be disappointed! read more
