I called to schedule to new patient appointment and the lady who answered the phone was so unhappy, unwelcoming and talked to me in flat voice like if I woke her up from a nap. Not helpful and to be honest sound like I was burdening her to ask her questions. read more

Dr .Estrada is amazing . My experience there is always excellent. I've been going there for many years. The front office staff as well as the back office are wonderful & professional. read more

My family and I have been patients of this office for around 20 years where we've been cared for by both Dr. Fewtrell and Dr. Estrada. Both doctors have been professional, kind, and attentive to our questions and concerns particularly when major health issues arose. I've never had difficulty with calling to make an appointment, my experience with staff and the doctor has been pleasant, the facility has always appeared to be clean, and our frames and glasses well-manufactured. There was a period when Dr. Estrada wasn't fitting for contacts but I believe he's started to do that again. The one issue I had with my most recent visit is I requested to be seen specifically for new glasses and a contact fitting; however, that information didn't appear to make it into my file so I need to return for a second visit. Overall, I'm happy to continue supporting a local business rather than a big box store. read more

A week ago I went in as a new patient and they were able to get me in same day and doctor Estrada was fantastic! All staff was very friendly and helpful! Great customer serviré and and great health provider as well! read more

If there were a way I can leave no stars I would. Horrible front desk customer service. I recommend you find someone else. On hold for 20 min. read more

I've been going to Dr. Estrada for years. Always been treated with dignity and respect. Fair prices on exams and glasses. And he knows about eyeballs inside and out. read more

Hate to leave this review but I'm leaving this in hopes of Dr. Estrada reading this. I was very happy when I found him and gushed to all my friends and family. Was in for my annual visit with vision insurance a few weeks ago. In my 35 years of wearing contacts/glasses, I've never paid out of pocket copays that are in the hundreds. I received a bill owing 100 plus and I left a message for a call back which I never received. I finally got through and the billing person goes on to tell me it's for a contact lens fitting and was extremely rude explaining it!! She was talking over me and not making the situation better. Dr. Estrada is a great and personable Dr but that billing person does NOT belong there or he will continue losing great pts like me. Ohh and I'm getting charged a $10 service fee monthly for not paying in full. Is that even legal?!? So over this unprofessional office! read more

This review is long overdue: This was my first time here and let me tell there amazing and clean! I contacted them as a in emergency and they were so attentive they were concerned and they offered me a same day appointment right away which is rare in some offices, I know it won't be all the time but I appreciate them taking the time out to attend to me. I love it. I'm glad I came about this office! Dr. Estrada went above and beyond by not only caring for me very thoroughly in the office, but also his assistant Janet super friendly and professional. The fabulous Front receptionist Rocio and Suzie, also went above and beyond by not only setting me up for a follow up appointment but my children. The professionalism, friendliness, and level of care I received and will continue to receive at Dr. Estrada Optometry office is stellar and I highly recommend their services. Additionally, I cannot express enough gratitude and appreciation for Dr Estrada and Staff members, what a fabulously kind and committed human being...he truly has a gift for helping one feel safe, comfortable, and cared for! read more

I came here on two occasions and both occasions were wonderful visits! Dr. Estrada answered all my questions and explained everything with details. The two opticians that helped me were wonderful Brenda and Neida. Brenda answered all my questions and explained what exactly was covered by my insurance and was super helpful helping me pick out my glasses. Such a sweet soul. Would definitely be coming back! read more

Dr Estradas office always gets me in and takes care of my last minute or emergency eye care. I would never take my eyes to a Doctors on duty type place. I'll only ever visit Dr Estrada. I even have an appointment to have my eyes examined and get fitted for some reading glasses next. Thank you!! read more

Have a voicemail with appointment reminder for 3:30. Got there at 3:28 but was told my appointment was at 3:15. They didn't take me even though I had the voicemail. Was told to call to reschedule that I could only be late 10 minutes. I wasn't late but they didn't care. Horrible customer service, do not recommend this place. read more

I was looking for a new optometrist since I moved to a different neighborhood and don't drive. So weary of the Big Box places--I wanted some more personal attention. Since this office is less than two blocks away, I made an appointment. I was pleasantly surprised how well I was treated, and how the staff worked together to make sure my insurance would cover. When I went for my exam, I only had to wait about five minutes to be seen Dr. Estrada was friendly and spent a good deal of time going over everything. He appears quite knowledgeable and answered my questions. Can't explain the negative reviews here. My experience was quite positive. read more

Customer service can improve . The people who are answering the phone are very rude . The can improve there tone of voice when someone is asking questions . Especially to a patient who has been going to see this practice over 3 years . read more

Had an emergency car broken down had to be walking and this was the closest place to ask to use restroom they denied me very pregnant and having to use the restroom and my little toddler as well needing to use the restroom worker was super rude as well. Went in for a contact prescription they did an eye glasses test then charge me for BOTH when I specifically told the receptionist I was only there about my contacts! I ended up paying for both and they never ordered anything, it took Crystal the MA about a month to get back to me after several calls just to tell me nothing was ordered!! She then proceed to say it was a mistake from their end and that she'll call back the next day to speak with her supervisor about the incident..it's been 3 months and I haven't received a call, Don't recommend this place. read more

To start off i hope Dr. Estrada sees this review because his employees have been extremely rude and unprofessional as well as Dr.Estrada wrongfully diagnosing me. Last month i visited there office where Dr. Estrada wrongfully diagnosed me with "Keratoconus" and referred me to Vantage Eye Center. At my visit there they told me that was not correct and i indeed did not have that diagnosis , i was sent back to Dr. Estradas office and he had nothing to say other than getting me set for eye contacts. As for that visit an employee Suzy was charging me more than $200 and she was claiming it was just for the visit. During the phone call she was very unprofessional and rude. Suzy was supposed to give me a call back and confirm and instead ended up canceling my appointment without letting me know. What kind of customer service is this and what way to speak to your patients? The 4 times that I've visited recently Suzy makes me feel un welcomed and uncomfortable. I do not recommend this place at all! Do better Dr. Estrada and employees. If I could give 0 stars I would . read more

I only put one star just so I can write a review do not take your business here the staff it's so rude!!! My glasses as I was told they were going to be ready in 2 week,3 weeks pass I kept calling and they never had an answer so I go to the office ask for my glasses after a month it took 3 girls in the front to give me and answer this whole time they had them so mad and blind!!!! Get your service right!!! I'm taking my bussiness somewhere else!!! read more

Caring, knowledgable doctor! He was very thorough with my eye examination utilizing state-of-the-art medical equipment, and the staff was so helpful from the front desk to the eyewear department. I would reccomend this office and doctor to anyone needing eye care. read more

I have been coming here as a child. Joseph is very polite. He and I always have great educational conversations. I have been here for eye allergies, pink eye, and yearly checkups and have never been disappointed. They are very responsible in following up on how you are doing. The staff is friendly and helpful. I have been to other optometric groups, but I would not trade this one for the others. Friendly, clean, and helpful, you won't be disappointed read more

Go else where is the best advice I can give you. I get it they may have nice equipment but other than that their staff is not professional especially the people up front you call receptionists. They need to learn customer service skills, smile once in a while, greet people with respect and maybe this place would be OK. Now to mention the wait time in this horrible establishment, it took about 2.5 hours for my visit. They book too many people at once and cannot serve people quickly. Also to mention they nickel and dime you for everything, and get you more with upgrades. It is taking about 3 or 4 visits just to get contacts and glasses. I agree with a lot of these one star reviews they are 100% honest. Again I will not return I will take my business elsewhere. read more

Joseph and his staff are rude and unprofessional. I have been tolerating them for a couple of years now. His staff does not greet or smile at patients, they all seem very unhappy and at time just plain angry they need to help people. As for Joseph, he is horrible, he did not listen to my questions and concerns about my children's eyes. He is dismissive, just a plain idiot the last time we saw him. I will take my business elsewhere and tell all my friends and family how bad they are! JOSEPH AND STAFF, YOU ARE FIRED!!!!! read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Estrada's for over 15 years. In that time he and his staff have exhibited the utmost professionalism and competence. He saved one of my wife's eyes by noticing a rip in her cornea that no other doctor had noticed. He immediately did what had to be done to save her vision in that eye. I highly recommend Dr. Estrada!! read more

my visit to this office was my first and will be my last. The staff in the front office is friendly enough, but did not do a good job about informing me about additional costs for my Son's eye exams. So, at the end of the day I didn't get what we needed to get done and they would finish what they started for an additional $200. They got paid from my insurance but I was left with having, to this day, trying to find another office to finish the job. Not good. Very disappointed. Never had this happen in all the years of going to different optomistrists. read more

I've gone to Dr. Estrada for all my eye related needs for so many years that I've lost count. I so trust him to treat me right that I'm willing to drive from San Jose for my appointments! HIs staff is very accomodating and courteous. I always get their last appointment so I won't miss too much work. Even though my appointments tend to last after closing hours, Dr. Estrada always takes the time to thoroughly address any concerns or questions I have. read more

In my opinion, Dr. Joseph Estrada is the best Optometrist in the Bay Area. I have had seen many Optometrist in my years and none have come close to giving servicing the individual needs of the patient. He had correctly diagnosed of my red eye problem which turns out to be a dry eye problem. I even went to an Ophthalmologist before I went to Joe and the Ophthalmologist told me there was nothing wrong. He is one of the few Doctors that actually looks for the cause of a problem versus other Doctors who only treat the symptoms. I come in all the way from Walnut Creek for my Optometry appointments because I trust Joe and his staff and is well worth the long drive. All of his staff always smiling and say hello to me as soon as I walk in the door and always ask me how my drive was. He and his staff are very professional and I give my highest rating for customer satisfaction based on my experience with the medical group and I have been going with him since the office opened. read more
