Love the displays: very easy to see the frames (much easier than other stores). Staff are very hit or miss. There was a kind gentleman who helped everyone with fittings and repairs, but front staff is snippy when I call for a status update. Kind of an "ick" feeling being there, from the sales team. So far so good for me. I just decided to switch to LensCrafters from Target Optical, since the latter company seems to have decided whose money it wants, plus LensCrafters takes Eye Med. Their integration with Eye Med actually was helpful; I had never been in before but they were able to pull up my information easily. My exam with Dr. Boothroyd was excellent; she is extremely knowledgeable and really good at explaining the complicated things she was observing with my particular ocular physiology. Buying my new frames and lenses went fine, although prices are maybe a little higher than I was expecting. That might be just an inflation thing since my last such purchase, though. The showroom has an impressive selection, but I was disappointed that they don't have any of the kinds of frames with magnetic sunglass attachments. There was also some fuss when choosing my frames when the sales person was confused about which types of lenses go with which brand of frames. That seems like more of a problem with their system than with the sales person, who was otherwise helpful enough (she actually picked out the frames I wound up buying). In the future I could see myself buying my actual glasses somewhere else, but I liked the exam enough to stick with it indefinitely. read more

Ordered glasses for my daughter in store on July 25th, and was told they would be ready to pick up in 1 week. I double checked this because my daughter was going out of the country and needed them before she left. Nearly 4 weeks later, still no glasses. No apologies, just "oh looks like they are still at the lab, should be ready very soon". Daughter has left, and I will have to pay to ship them to Europe without a fitting. Website will not let me send an inquiry, and getting no answers on any other communication platform. I would appreciate some accountability from someone and ideally some money back for our trouble. I called the store from the road on Sunday and they had lenses for my prescription in stock, which they put aside for me until I could get in to the store first thing Monday morning. I've been here twice and had a terrible experience both times. The first time I looked around and found a few frames I liked. When I asked to price out how much they would be, they refused to do anything without a signed prescription from my doctor. I understand not selling them without the prescription on hand, but they essentially told me to leave and would provide no pricing. After making sure I had the documentation on me, I returned weeks later with the intent to buy the glasses. After pricing it out, they told me my alone lenses would be over 400 dollars. This was after my insurance, and with a very basic prescription. I'm used to being upsold on fancy lenses, so I asked for the other lens options. I was told there were none. Except when I checked their website after, of course there were cheaper options. They just wanted to only sell those with higher markups. The only reason this isn't 1 star is their selection which is pretty large. So if you want a good selection of frames and don't care about being ripped off, this place is for you. read more

Can't say enough good things about this place. My daughter needed new glasses asap. We got the frames she wanted at the Mall of America Lens Crafters and they found the lenses in stock at the Roseville Lens Crafters. We immediately went there and they said they already were getting the lenses ready for us! The glasses were done in 20 minutes!! Then come to find out, the prescription was too strong, so then we went back to the original dr (not at Lens Crafters), and brought the new prescription to Lens Crafters. Done in 15 minutes!! Rachel and Leigh who claim to be managing directors were terrible sales people. Terrible store experience. Went in to get in glasses was rushed and told not to touch or try out without permission and only 5 glasses were allowed because they claimed they don't want to clean them and we're running out of trays which was a lie! Never been followed by a rep who were so clingy and claim that the glasses give you CoVid so they have to wipe. Someone tell them that Covid is airborne and is more risky for your 2-3 staff members to follow customers throughout the store dictating the number of glasses to buy. When I actually needed help running the numbers they claimed that they were busy. Went to Huxley at Rosedale and bought 4 pairs with an amazing service to go with it. I am glad I came to this store after went to visionworks at rosedale mall, which my experience with the customer service wasn't great at all and won't allow me even take a look at their selections, because they think I can't afford I guess and more. So I went straight to this store. Greeted by friendly smile staff. Didn't catch her name but I see the name "Haley" on my purchase receipt. I take it that's her. She helped me both times I were there. Inform me to make appointments for eye exam since mine is pass due. The best part is she let me peek around the store and see what they got and not look at me like I can't afford and some kind of disease carrier like those people from visionworks. Overall everyone there is friendly, from haley to the staff who took care of me in the exam room. I would definitely go back there, in fact i spoke to haley that I do have a old frame which I barley wear that might need new lens for it. I probably going to bring there to update it, since I don't even have to wait few week for this new pair glasses I got today, and I only probably waited for less than 2 hour. Bought a pair of glasses I loved - and they never fit my face correctly. 7 adjustments later and actually being scolded by the "experienced person" when I said there is something wrong with these frames, I was told I was 3 weeks past my ability to exchange them - so too bad. I contacted regional mgr. and the local mgr. called me whining because he had to talk to " so many" people about my glasses. He offered me an exchange for a limited time. I exchanged. The new glasses fit my face and I have never gone back. Will get my glasses ANY PLACE else after this bad experience. This location just doesn't care about the idea of customer service. read more

Went here twice in the past few weeks trying to buy glasses. First time two older female clerks (about my age actually) sat there looking at me whispering and giggling like high school. I was actually wondering what was wrong with me that they were acting that way. Curious since I didn't recognize them from high school. Second time there were two different ladies. Let one of them know I was ready and she told me she would do a "quick dispense" first. I said ok. After the second quick dispense she went to a back room and told me the other lady would come out. Three quick dispenses and one approach someone who just walked in later I left. One of the clerks chased me out into the parking lot, at which point I told her I wasn't interested and kept walking. This was a terrible customer service experience, they hover over customers and tell people not to touch anything. They rushed us to make a selection and when we finally did they were all absent and nobody would help us. They rolled their eyes and seemed to be put off by us asking the most basic of questions of pricing. When we called to express our dissatisfaction, the general manager Leigh yelled at us and said she and everyone in the store was so busy which was a flat out lie, we were in the store and there were total of 2 customers present. Leigh then proceeded to hang up on us. We called back and were told there are 9 separate supervisors, basically they proceeded to lie to us and aggravate us to cover up the simple fact that they know they did wrong and do not want to take responsibility for it. I definitely will not be giving this business any of my money and suggest other customers looking for a pleasant eyewear purchasing experience to stay away! Couldn't be happier with my purchase and the help that I received! De was the person that assisted me and she was top notch! I was nervous about picking out glasses without a friend there for a second opinion, but her advice and honesty made me so happy and confident with my choice! She even used her iPad to take pictures of me wearing different glasses so I could compare all my options side by side. In fact, all the staff was very helpful and cheerful! Greeting and check in staff were great!! Willing and eager to help. Asst that did all the initial tests was basically a robot repeating in quick fashion what each test was and what it measured. Fine be did not treat me as an individual person bit rather as another person in line at this lame place. But in relation to the Optometrist...he was much better. The Dr. spoke in a monotone, with no personality at all. When I tried to make a joke, he just kept on his speech. Apparently everything was good and my eyes were healthy.. something he said around 7 times. Again, nothing to treat me as an individual person, but just another customer. I have been to places that treated me as a person and unique. This commercial franchise just seemed bored with me. Having grown up buying all my glasses from a local store, it is really hard for me to shop for eyewear at chains. It's a whole different environment. This LensCrafters in particular has never been a great experience for me. Employees see you as a dollar sign. If they don't feel like you will be buying that day, then they ignore you. Since I ponder my selection for a few weeks, I often find it off-putting and don't want to come back. So yes, I may have found a pair I loved. But no, I will probably not be buying them from LensCrafters. read more

If I could give zero I would. Checked the website for information to this store. Went to the store with my two daughters to buy 3 pair of prescription glasses. We were told that we were not allowed to touch one thing in the store until we could produce proof of a recent prescription. I offered to call to verify the recent prescriptions but was told that this was not good enough. I would have to make the optical store fax it to them and we could wait to touch anything in the store. I reported that other stores let us try on frames only to hear "good for you". We left. I wrote an email, filled out a form, another email. two live chats and the manager called me to listen, agree with me, but nothing will change. What a waste of my time as this is not on their website anywhere. Do not tell me to visit the website to do a form- I have already done this and while the manager agrees that this is a problem on Lenscrafters side, there is nothing she can do about it. I still feel frustrated and will tell everyone about this horrible treatment of customers. What a waste of time. I went here almost a year ago because both of my pairs of glasses had broken and I was in a bind. I cannot wear contacts and had a major volunteer project within days. First the prescription was messed up. That caused a delay. But my bigger issue is the service. If I am a 50-something female please don't assume I need a hyperactive old lady to wait on me. Please don't assume I want glasses with rhinestones or flowers on the bows. I don't want pink or purple glasses. I'm an adult. this woman was so rude. . . and then she sold me men's frames. LensCrafters has been my go-to eye glasses store for years because I LOVE that you can (in a lot of cases) have your glasses prescription filled in one hour. On my most recent visit to the LC in Roseville, I was really impressed with the level of service. I had an eye exam done, looked at frames and had a new pair of glasses to wear out the door within a two hour window. The woman who helped me with the transaction was very helpful, too. She gave me really honest opinions about the frames I had picked, so I felt confident in what I was buying. read more

Pretty disappointed in this place. I had an eye exam and prescription at another location. Wanted to try to order contacts from this location. They couldn't seem any less interested in my business. Wanted me to track down my prescription from their other location and have them fax it over. Played a series of phone tag between this and the old location to get it faxed and see if that fax ever showed up. Why is this not logged in a computer?? Why do I have to do the leg work?? Ended up going to Target Optical. Much more friendly and much easier to deal with. I went to a location in Wisconsin five years ago and they were still able to pull up my information on a computer. Worst customer service I ever had. I went to that store twice to do some research on the frames and lenses. After they figured out I was 'looking around' instead of getting a new pair right away, they just ignored me. The staff there was so impatient and rude. Since no one cared about me, I had to come to a sales person to ask questions. What surprised me was when I approached him, he said 'what's up' instead of 'can I help you?'. And he would not explain clearly the difference between their lenses unless I ask, ask and ask. Lenscrafters really helped me out in a difficult situation. I had gone to a competitor to get a two for one deal and couldn't see out of the glasses when they were done. They insisted I must have a wrong prescription, so I had to go to get another new scrip from their optometrist. Well, that scrip wasn't any better. FINALLY, I went to a doctor at Lenscrafters, got yet another prescription, and it was right on.. Had my glasses made at Lenscrafters and could see out of them perfectly.
