One of the silicone nose pads on my glasses had fallen off, and they quickly replaced it for me at no hassle. They also took the time to adjust my glasses so they fit perfectly again. I really appreciated how helpful and welcoming everyone was. The store is beautiful, well organized, and offers a great selection of frames from well-known brands like Ray-Ban and many others. We have purchased ALL of our frames from Visionwotks...literally. Or whatever their previous name was. For three people. My dad had cataract surgery and needed new lenses. Three pair of frames all 2 years old and the Roseville location would not order him lenses to be put in the current frames. You must order new frames! What a money grab! There was some hairball excuse for this. I don't even care if it would be cheaper to get new frames. The fact that they sent me to another store was all I needed to know. My dad is 91 and in a wheelchair. Let me sign the waiver in case they break and then give him his lenses! Not going back to this store ever. You are an optical store and won't put lenses in glasses or even send out for them to be put in at the lab? Found out Maplewood will do this and that each store manager decides. So head to Maplewood or fire the Roseville manager. read more

Dozens of emails, texts, calls confirming our appointments and the address provided put us in the mall. On Black Friday. But you are not in the mall. You are across the street. You leave me messages asking if we are ok with telehealth, even though we have been here before with telehealth. Trying to call you back routes us through 20 minutes of AI call center horror. Then finding a way to you with the traffic and layout on Black Friday made us 10 minutes late, and then you tell us we missed over half of our appointment time. But wait! You're running late and one person is ahead of us. So we didn't miss it! But no. We cannot still be seen because you are horrible. read more

I've been going to eye exams for the past 15 years, and have never had such a bad experience. Every staff member I encountered was unprofessional and rude to me. The few questions I had was met with the word "obviously" like I should obviously know the answer to the question, and it felt very demeaning. I also had no knowledge that this appointment would be virtual, and I would not have been okay with it. I was told not to wear my glasses and I had them far away from me and could not see anybody I was talking to and felt very flustered, and did not get any questions I wanted answered. I also asked to get my glasses adjusted and was told "Well, this looks like a cheaper plastic material and since you didn't get them purchased here I would hate to be liable if they break." If the company doesn't adjust glasses that aren't purchased there, just say that, no need to call my $300 glasses cheap. Also, the 3 gals that were working by the front were engrossed in a story and told me to wait a minute while they finished their personal conversation, and never in my life have I experienced such poor customer service, especially coming from someone working in the healthcare industry helping out at the front desk, this would be unacceptable at my place of employment. My 'co-pay' was also $10.90 cents higher than I've ever paid and on my plan it says $5.00 so I was just confused by that since this was in network, but I just wanted to get out of there and not argue. For the experience I had, and it being triple the price I normally pay, I would encourage anyone who's reading this to go elsewhere. I would give zero stars if I could. read more

I went in this November to have them put lenses in the frame i purchased last year because my prescription changed and I really liked the frame. I was told they no longer do that. I would have to purchase new frames! WHAT!!! I Was told that Costco or Lens Crafters might put new lenses in and I should go there!!! Well Costco and Lens Crafters will try to put new lenses in but they don't guarantee the frame since I didn't purchase it from them. Same experience as Kara. GPS sent me to the mall on a very busy day. Searched everywhere for nothing. Called 2 min before my appointment to get no answer. Keep searching as it shows it even in the mall directory. Call again 6 min after my appointment. The gal Chrissy laughed and said i was 10 min late and missed it. I go to the store after that call and her telling me where it's located. Her and the very terrible GM tell me the gps is broken but it's all my fault. Even though I called ahead and was 15 min early to search the whole packed mall. They didn't tell me it was my fault once either. Said it 3 times. Clearly you hire idiots that don't care. Never use this store. I was rushed through my first exam and needed a follow up that was also rushed. I finally gave up and paid for a new exam at a different chain. Both prescriptions were dramatically wrong, and I should have trusted my instincts the first time when I felt uncomfortable. On top of this, I paid for glasses, which needed to be refitted, and the store lost them. That was in September, and I've decided that it's worth losing the 250 dollar glasses to never have to return here again. read more

I had a biennial eye exam and it was fast. The optometrist was young and upbeat and I was satisfied overall. The charge for the exam/prescriptions was $172.04. Didn't remember it being that expensive. Everything has gone up in price I guess. The only thing that disappointed me is I had a question about my prescription and stopped back to their freestanding shop the next day, about an hour before closing time and the door was locked/store was closed. I returned the next day and asked why they were closed and the clerk said she was probably there alone and likely was on her break so she locks up the store during that time! That never would have happened when they were in the mall. I think it's unacceptable. read more

Horrible customer service from the first appointment that took two hours waiting for an eye doctor who was virtual...never called to let me know the trial contacts were in for 8 weeks , and now that i need the prescription they won't give it to me because it is two weeks past the lens's trial even though they didn't come in for 8 weeks. They've got all the insurance $$ so my hands are tied and they could care less...they got what they wanted. read more

I took off work, rescheduled and confirmed my appointment online and arrived to find that my appointment had never been scheduled. I was not offered an apology, only an explanation that their system is on the fritz. I was told they needed to know what type of insurance I had (which I assumed was on record from last time but was not) before they'd schedule me again. When I lived in Minneapolis I visited this location. They have a large selection of frames, responsible prices and great customer service. The doctor is kind and attentive. The young ladies who walk you through the glasses buying process are patient and understanding. The general manager is helpful and has a great understanding of eye wear. I highly recommend this location. There are times you may have to wait longer than expected, however this is due to to doctors and associates given their undivided attention to each customer and their needs. read more

What you'll find at Visionworks is a pretty huge collection of frames. This large store has a lot of eyeglasses to choose from. We received good service, even though we didn't end up buying. The prices seem fairly high compared with what we've found elsewhere. They do offer a lot of extras - coatings, transition, high density bifocals, etc. read more

I cannot say enough good things about my experience at VisionWorks. Two weeks ago I came to the store to complain about the protective film that had suddenly started peeling from my lenses. The associate looked up my glasses and informed me that they were 2 weeks out of warranty. I told her that this was obviously a manufacturers defect and she agreed. Since it was beyond her power do do anything further, she asked the manager to assist me. He said that it was a manufacturer problem but he couldn't do anything unless I could get an up to date prescription. I asked about an appointment with the store doctor and he told me that she would do an exam for $39 dollars , so I made an appointment and returned two days later for the exam. The exam was with Dr. Mecham and I can't tell you how thorough she was and how much time she spent with me. I did have a change in prescription and now my vision is much better. From start to finish this was such a pleasurable way to be treated. Overall I have nothing but positive to say about this company. read more

This is the first time I rate or leave review, in the pass i have fairly good experience with this store. But today I believe I had the worst experience with them. I understand in the current pandemic and store try to be careful of who is in and out. So i went to the store and I didn't know I have to make appointment with them. But I would like to renew my glasses, but also I would like to take a peek of what they got for frame. That older guy asking me question like is it with insurance or pay out from pocket. I said pocket, and is my prescription updated. I said no. So he tell me to I need to make appointment for exam, than I ask him can I take a look of what they got. He said I have to make appointment again. But this is not what I disappoint about. This lady came right after me, she also don't have appointment and she get to go in and look, she have insurance card and maybe update prescription? Who know. First time I feel like been judge by what I look, or maybe status? Or I am ethic background ? Who know, the reason I said That, because that guys would complaint about those Asian massage guy talking and said he have a hard time heard me because of them "Yapping".... which that let me to believe is my ethic background have to do with it. So I don't think I would go there again. After I lefted the store I went straight to lens crafter, With awesome service. I make appointment with them for a eye exam and I get to check out their frame selection . If they think I can't afford either?? Think again, I took about a grand out to ready to spend and purchase new glasses. But since I can't even see, what your store can offer, I will go else where. Word of advise, do not bad mouthing people in front of customer. It give a bad impression of how you guy are, poor customer service. I don't think it even worth a star rating. read more

Dr. Meacham gives the most thorough exams. A couple years ago when I tried contacts she kept adjusting them until I felt they were perfect. My vision was being extra odd that year. She gave a great exam to me this year. My son has a little more than the average vision issues and she takes great care of him as well. His new glasses are perfect. When we drop in to have glasses adjusted and if she sees us there she will stop by and check in with us. ALL of the ladies running the front house are great. Always willing to give advice on our choices. I wish I could remember their names. Melody is amazing and worked so hard to get my awful insurance to cover special lenses for my son and I because of medical problems we have. She kept me informed along the way. Had an appointment for an eye exam on a Saturday at 3 pm. I had called a week ahead. We arrived right at 3 pm. They took a walk in ahead of us after we were waiting for 10. It then turned into a 40 minute wait. Not cool. I guess you get better treatment as a walk in then if you call ahead for an appointment. read more

My appointment was 11:00 am. I came 15 minutes early to fill out the form. After the form, they asked me to sit in the waiting area. 30 minutes came by, no eye exam. Still there's no eye exam after one hour of waiting. I asked the front desk staff and he said they are double book and the earliest he can get me to see the doctor was another hour. 2 hours of waiting for just an eye exam? They should've let me know ahead and not wasting my time. If you have all the time in this world and don't mind to waste, then this is a good place for you.
