They also offered an insurance for the glasses since they saw how rough she was with her last pair. We've since been back for an adjustment on the frames and they were very helpful. I will come back here when it's time for my eyes to be checked.

At this place the office staff are completely rude. The doctor himself has got major communication issues himself. I went to this eye doctor just to get an order of contacts and the guy runs a full comprehensive exam and says I got some type of condition with my eyes that I need some prescription drops. These would have to go through a specialty pharmacy. I never got the eye drops. And keep in mind, I pay close to $200 for this office visit and did not receive an order of contacts as I had originally requested. Fast forward 2 months later I go again to an office visit. The doctor asks me about the drops and how my eyes were doing. I said I never got any drops. The doctor types up some stuff on his computer, looks at my eyes for about 30 secs and I'm done. I was told to call the pharmacy myself about these eyedrops and then come back in 2 months. Again, no order for contacts. So I go to checkout and I'm thinking there is no way in he// these fools are gonna charge me for this visit, but I was wrong. The office lady first set up my follow-up appt and then after that had the audacity to say "today's visit will be $150". When I tried to complain about how I have paid out over $350 and have received no resolution at all and no contacts, she said "well you insurance deductible is the problem". This office not once told me they were submitting visits under my medical insurance instead of my vision coverage, hence the reason I was having to pay out of pocket for everything and they weren't going to say a word about it. She said it had to go through medical bec of this "condition" I'm being checked for. The staff lady was probably the meanest and rudest person I have met in a medical setting and should have been fired on the spot for how she treated me. I would love to meet the people that gave this office positive reviews bec they are obviously being swayed by some means or the reviews are being submitted by the office itself.

I see better now than I have since before I needed a prescription! Calling for an appointment was easy and the receptionists were genteel and informative - plus there was free coffee! (Thank you for the coffee). They accepted my Humana vision insurance and were always quick to inform me of any extra costs I could incur or savings for which I was eligible. Dr. Hammond and his assistants were wonderful! Friendly, obviously caring, thorough, and competent. Dr. Hammond was especially good at not just making me feel comfortable, but also confident. In the end, my prescription for both my glasses and my contacts were a tad better than 20/20. I was actually distracted driving home by the detail I could see in distant foliage. My follow-up was just as easy and informative. The receptionists explained a rebate for the year supply of contact lenses I purchased, and I was able to get back $55. I appreciate the great service and sincere care I received from the entire Hermitage Eye Care team. I highly recommend them!
