Loveland Eyecare - Great job. The team worked with my son new sport goggles and was very knowledgeable about what he needed.

Since this was my first vision test since elementary school, I didn't remember what to expect. They squeezed me in on the day after Thanksgiving, which was great, since I needed to get this appointment in before the end of the year; I was lucky that they'd had a cancellation. They were running on time. I did the tests, chatted with the doctor, and she said, "You're not even close to needing glasses." Then I was done. No complaints.

Dr Loveland took my insurance and I was expecting to pay nothing. I paid MORE! My insurance covers $200 for frames. The cheapest frames I could find were $220. The most expensive frames at Walmart are $125, most under $100. The eye doctor didn't say anything during the tests. I asked a question and got a sarcastic answer. My insurance has covered everything for the past 30 years. This year I got a bill for $50. I called and asked what it was for. I was told the billing department would call me back. No one ever called. My Medicare statement said it was a test to see if I needed to wear prescription glasses. I don't need this test. I have been wearing glasses since 1962. I came in with glasses & they knew I needed glasses without a test. When I picked up my glasses the woman handed me the glasses and a cleaning cloth and said I was all set. When I got home I couldn't see the computer screen and had to put my old glasses back on. I've left the old glasses on ever since. I wore the new glasses about an hour. They never asked about what activities I do, like every other doctor I've been to. I was told I had to come back for a second exam to check my eye pressure, but the second exam was a test for peripheral vision which I didn't the first time. I was told i could leave & they would let me know the test results. I have never heard the results. Walmart is looking like a better choice. Greg G.

Although I had originally purchased them online a few years ago, I decided that I wanted to work with someone local, especially an optician who was familiar with shooters. Karen was GREAT. She took the time to dial in the Rx for both pistol shooting and for skeet/trap shooting. I was even able to bring in my pistol to fine-tune the distance (emptied and safety-checked, of course!) We created interchangeable lenses for the two different disciplines. (I have interchangeable lenses for my dominant right eye: one optimized for pistol shooting, focusing on the front sight, and another optimized for distance while shooting clays. The left eye is optimized for distance in both cases.) And I also got separate lens sets for low/flat light and for bright light conditions. Even better, she was able to use my existing frames (Ranger Edge, https://www.reranger.com/products/edge?variant=32703827607691). I used them for the first time a few nights ago at a pistol class. What a HUGE difference! I actually won the shooting competition that night! I HIGHLY recommend Karen and The Eyeglass Place in Newington, not only for your general eyeglasses but especially if you're a shooter and you want to work with someone who "gets it!"

The first one was an authorization to keep a card on file so they can charge any balances automatically up to $1500. I told the receptionist that I would not be doing this since I have been a victim of identity theft. The tablet will not let you decline without logging out so she spoke to a supervisor and they said they would not see me without the authorization to keep a card on file, so I left. When I asked her why my husband didn't need to authorize automatic charges to a card when he had an appointment six days ago, I was told the policy went into effect two days ago. I called two other local eye doctor offices and neither of them keep patient's cards on file so I made an appointment with one of them instead.

Four (4) hours and $20.00 in Gasoline wasted they wanted to waste even more of my time for one of their Optometrists to examine my eyes and tell me how bad they are, ....... which I already know. Can you say Gratuitous? What a complete wast of my time and their time, as well. I told them that I was not going to make another appointment for a month or for several months out. Been there, done that, ....... Too many times. Now, I either go blind, crack up me and my 2023 new Ford truck when I'm driving and a bucket of white paint is suddenly thrown across my windshield and I am "whited out" which no one seems to care about me dying because I have had a bunch of inept, incompetent Physicians where ever and when ever I go to any of them. Or, I can spend the remainder of my natural life searching throughout the country for a competent, real Opthomologist so that I am able to have this much needed surgery on my right eye. Good luck. Because you are going to need it. William Parks (860) 639-6699 bparks1578@aol.com
