The first one was an authorization to keep a card on file so they can charge any balances automatically up to $1500. I told the receptionist that I would not be doing this since I have been a victim of identity theft. The tablet will not let you decline without logging out so she spoke to a supervisor and they said they would not see me without the authorization to keep a card on file, so I left. When I asked her why my husband didn't need to authorize automatic charges to a card when he had an appointment six days ago, I was told the policy went into effect two days ago. I called two other local eye doctor offices and neither of them keep patient's cards on file so I made an appointment with one of them instead.

You pre-register electronically; they text you a link and you can answer the questions right on your phone. The offices are clean, people are professional and friendly, the process smooth. The visit with the Ophthalmologist was quick, he sent the scripts to my pharmacy and I was done. Impressed as this was a fairly large office with several Ophthalmologists. The processes were smooth. I will come here for my annual eye exam!

The very next day texts and emails started piling up saying I owed $50. Nobody ever called to see if I was hospitalized or had died. I wrote a letter to explain and to ask that the $50 charge be canceled since I was unable to call to cancel. But they need the money. I had heard stories about Shriver and his office but really needed the surgery. But now I can add that he apparently really needs money from any source, even a poor retiree who had the misfortune of getting sick at the wrong him. Now that's money grubbing. I'll cut back on food and pay him what I can when I can. I wish he were more compassionate. I don't think I want him doing surgery on my eyes while he's counting my pennies.

Surgery was successful, quick, and then the recovery was short as well. A few hours of pain after the surgery which was expected & they provide a lot of information on the post op care. I just came in for my follow up 5 days later and Dr Shriver said my flaps have healed great & I am seeing better than expected. Since it was Memorial Day weekend, my follow up appointment was a bit later than they usually are supposed to be, but Dr Shriver was very attentive and called/texted me during the long weekend to check on me. He has amazing patient care & I look forward to my 3 month follow up!

Both…read morelaughed and scoffed at me over the phone because I asked for the office to fill out a distance verification form for MTM med cab services - like I have for each of my Dr offices - Jessica actually laughed at me, accused me of trying to make her feel stupid, told me that "I didn't have a fantastic tone" and then hung up on me... this practice allows these two "receptionists" to "self manage"... they literally refused to provide the practices email for the MTM Director's assistant to email them the form directly... unbelievable!

The doctors and nurses are very competent. The office staff is friendly and attentive. They have assisted me with diabetes management, diagnosis of myomas, and my pregnancy. I continue to go to this practice, my husband joined, and now my son is also a patient. This is a great office for families with young children.
