I went back twice and called once about these supposed transition glasses I payed almost 800$ for. They don't transition and the women just kept telling me I have to be in the sun for a while. I was in the sun a lot and they barely changed! My friends glasses change so quick and last a while. Then they told me it was the heat! My mother in laws glasses changed so quick in a 100 degree sun! They are defective and they just don't care as long as they get their money! Never going back ever! They kept shining some light on them and they would change. So I give 5 stars for the Dr. Gagliani. But 2 stars for the side that sells the glasses. Not helpful at all. I recieved no help in picking frames and no one checked to make sure the frame I picked out would fit properly, I thought they were good when I tried them on, but after I got the lens in them and wore them for a bit, they felt like the left side of my eyelashes were brushing against the lens. When I told that to one of the women, her reply was "maybe you should curl your eyelashes". . Really?? When measuring my pupillary distance, no device was used. With so much technology today I think possibly that may have been my issue. Dr. Gagliani was great. Will just take my prescription elsewhere to get glasses. read more

My experience at this location of LensCrafters has been great on all three occasions I've been there between spring 2020 to spring 2021. - Most convenient location for residents of independence, Seven Hills, Parma, Brooklyn and Middleburg heights. - opens at 9 am while most other branches opened at 11 am. - A spacious facility, easy to maintain social distancing. Staff serious about their disinfecting protocols. - better than average variety for men's glasses. I do wish it was better. - I've been helped by two different team members on my three trips, both of whom were excellent in knowledge, courtesy, explaining what my frame and lenses would cost with my two insurances, with various lens options, and the available option of adding warranty at additional cost if I opted. - On one occasion when they had a trainee, the senior staff member was providing close supervision too. - I like text message update for when glasses are ready for pickup. - never used their optometrist so I have nothing to say about that section. I feel 3/3 positive experiences is not a coincidence. I'd certainly recommend this location for your optical needs. read more

Linda was great! She was like a personal shopper. She gave great suggestions, helped me find frames that matched my preferences, and put in lots of effort to make sure I got the best price - pricing things out in various ways based on the discounts/insurance options I had. She was friendly and efficient and I would certainly shop here again. The frame selection for men was large including both sunglasses and frames and the lenses can be ordered with the Blue Light reduction feature as well. I got two really nice Ray Ban prescription glasses - sunglasses and regular glasses. I was told they should come in within a week. I also got a AAA discount (30% off) on buying wipes and cleaning spray. read more

I went in to this location since I was nearby for an adjustment and new nose pieces. The manager (didn't get her name) was nice enough to do this for me. I only had to wait 15 minutes. I asked her if she could use a microfiber cloth instead of the clothes they use/sell since I use to buy them all the time and I had issues with them scratching my lenses. She started to get an attitude saying she never heard of that. They use them all the time and they don't have a cloth to use. I never had other locations tell me that. They always were able to clean them that way for me. She had a hard time adjusting them so another girl came over. She told her don't use a cloth on these since she says it scratches them but we use them all the time. I got upset since I felt to continue to be petty was not necessary. I paid a lot of money for my glasses and if I want her to clean them with a microfiber cloth or even sandpaper that would be my choice. They lack customer service at this location but at least was helpful with changing my pads and adjusting my glasses. read more

Stopped in to LensCrafters for an eye exam and I was able to make a same day appointment. When I arrived, they quickly accepted my new insurance plan and I met with the optometrist. The optometrist was very courteous, professional, and he answered all of my questions. I only had to pay a $5 co-pay and my insurance covered the remaining $145. With the lenses that he prescribed, I get 20x15 vision, which is better than normal. I don't like wearing glasses, but having above average vision with my glasses makes me happy. I can see signs from further away than my wife who supposedly has 20x20 vision. I had a great time! I never buy lenses or frames at LensCrafters, but the optometrist and his team are great! I get my lenses and frames for about 1/2 the price elsewhere. Recommend the optometrist! read more

I walked in to Southland Lenscrafter's on a Friday afternoon a couple of weeks ago. I had a prescription and was looking for glasses. The two people at the register were busy so I started looking at the glasses. The older woman with reddish gray hair started speaking to me in a disrespectful tone. In my miind I am thinking why is she talking to mer that way. Every question had attitude. I said I am looking for glasses ......she stopped waiting on the custmer to bark at me. She was cordial with the customer. There was a definite difference in how this man was being treated in comparison to me.. She again with attitude stopped handed me a box and said put the glasses in here followed by more questions. I was trying to ignore her rudeness. After a couple of minutes, I put all of the glasses back, said thank you and left the store. I will never return to Lenscrafters in Southland. If you can"t treat me respectfully, I won't spend my money with any business that talks to me the way that woman did. read more

I have been going to this location for several years now. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I get high quality progressive lens and they are always perfect. I will keep coming here. The only slightly negative thing I can mention is I have never had the same eye doctor in all times I've gone. The doctors are always changing. However they too are nice and accommodating. read more

Only needed a lens after cataract surgery plain one. A woman quoted me $130 too much! I went to another Co and it was $30. Then one day I stopped in to see what glasses would cost me because I have AARP and AAA to see what kind of discount I could get. Well I asked her to pick out some glasses for me that would go good with my RX, I have progressive and bad eyes. Oh well with the discount it would of cost me over $900 that is nuts!! I have never paid that much in my life and have been wearing glasses since 3d grade. What a rip off who pays that much for glasses and they did not even have any gold on them!! So with the discount it would of been over $1000. Never again would I go to Lenscrafters!! I always go to Americas Best and have never paid over $400. Now that there is no taxes on glasses they are under $400. And the girl that waited on me was not so friendly! Employees should bend over backwards for us because if not for us the customers they would not have a job!! read more

If you can, avoid this location at all costs. Take the short drive over to Great Northern Mall and get better service all around. Let's just say that Linda, the "manager" of this location claims 30 years of experience. Our experience, however, demonstrated that part of that 30 years of "experience" didn't include a portion on customer service. We had to have multiple trips back and forth to this location to pick up glasses that were made incorrectly, and all around was just a debacle. Again, just save yourself the headache and the run around, and go to a different Lens Crafters location, one that has competent staff, skilled in customer service. read more

i as in the store earlier this month for a full exam. A young female doctor scared the heck out of me! She told me the retina in my right eye had detached and that I need to see a specialist right away. I asked if she had a list, but she cut me off & said this is serious and that I needed to go NOW. A half hour later I'm with Dr. Novak on Bagley road, the specialist she sent me to. After about 2 hours of tests, my eye's being dilated several times, and being examined by three different people, the "Specialist" determined there was NOTHING wrong with my eye! I've been going to this store for many years, but this new independent group that provides the doctors gets a thumbs down from me! I don't think I'll go back again! read more

Very unprofessional. They created my customer profile under someone else's name then could not find me. Got my glasses wrong, she then dropped them and stepped on them; then handed to me as if I was going to still take and wear them, as she was more concerned who was printing something on the printer, she grabbed the paper and walked around the store asking who printed this..I swear I thought I was being punked, this environment could NOT be real, why does she care who printed something, just ring me out. When I asked about AARP/AAA discounts she said definitely not, so I pointed to the sign behind her and she said oh I didn't know. She added a 1 year insurance policy to both glasses ($70) without asking me, thank goodness my friend caught this on receipt before I signed for it, they are required to ask permission for insurance on things, there is a cost to it, she just added it, then when I told her no not interested, she belittled me saying if they break the first year, you are responsible...ummmm ok. Honestly, this Lenscrafters used to be fabulous about 10 years ago, they are beyond incompetent and rude. When I called to ask what time the store closed, the manager told me 6:30PM when it was actually 7PM. But the most offensive thing was, when I was putting my credit card into my wallet (taking 2 seconds) the manager reached across the counter and scribbled a line that was reserved for me to put my signature for authorization to charge my credit card. Went in planning on using insurance, however when I did not jump at the most expensive options helpful went to being ignored. Walked out. Costco was over $100 less using no insurance, online sites were even less. Don't believe them when they say that their quality is superior, all have the same foreign made frames, they just mark them up more. read more
