    Terrible experience! 5 visits and they couldn't get my glasses right! Had my eye exam. Seven days…read morelater, I go to pick up my "new" prestcription, they weren't right, told me to try them at home, and come back in a week. OK. So I go back, say no, they're not working. I meet with the Dr. who DOES NOT check my eyes again, but types in some numbers in the computer. The prescription was for computer work and close up.... they gave me a prescription for Distance.. (that's not what I asked for!) I go back AGAIN... 2nd pair STILL WRONG.. I repeat.. I DO NOT NEED DISTANCE.. "Ohhh.. ok.. I will tweak the prescription".. again NO EYE EXAM.. Now....just seems like they're just guessing. I go back again.... and guess what?... they WERE STILL WRONG!.. AND AGAIN asking if I could see distance..I told him AGAIN.. they're not for distance... he says "did they know that?"......... OMG. I said "I'M DONE!!" ok... so he issues me a refund for what I paid out of pocket, and said he had to call my insurance co.. so they can reimburse them. I asked how much it would be.. he said "I don't know"... WHAT? why? didn't you submit an amount?... then charge me the difference?....... He could not answer my simple questions! "what was the total cost??" he pointed to an amount on the receipt, and I said.. why did you tell me a different amount the first day?.. His answer was "Or so you say". OR SO I SAY????????..... . WHAT?..wtf!!.. I'M SOO MAD! Terrible service terrible experience!! TERRIBLE!!!!!!!

I had an appointment scheduled 9 months ago and confirmed it when I received a text reminder on December 27. Today, I drove 40 minutes each way, arranged childcare for my 2- and 4-year-old, and arrived on time--only to be told I did not have an appointment. The front desk staff rudely and repeatedly told me that her manager "called and canceled" my appointment on January 6, 2026 at 3:30 PM. I received no phone call, no voicemail, and no written notification. I even checked my phone records through my service provider, which confirm no incoming call at that time. Despite this, the staff member continued to insist that the call was "documented in the system," with no apology and no effort to resolve the situation. This resulted in over 1.5 hours of wasted driving, unnecessary childcare arrangements, and a completely avoidable disruption to my day. Dr. Sika is excellent--but this office's front desk staff and scheduling practices are unprofessional and unreliable. After 24 years as a loyal patient, I will never return to this office. A practice that cancels appointments without actually notifying patients--and then treats them poorly for showing up--is not worthy of anyone's time.

Easy parking lot, spacious well-lit front room, and greetings with smiles using the name listed for the appointment. Such a great atmosphere. We were called back right on appointment time- no waiting around watching your time tick away. Jackie was amazing with my son's pre-appointment exam, letting him know what she was doing before she did it. Dr. Wiersma was professional and to-the-point; I had full confidence immediately and appreciated his time presenting options and answering questions. He took us to the front room and Natalie helped us from there. She was friendly and professional. We never once felt forgotten or unattended to, which happens as you wait and wait somewhere. Also, a line-itemed receipt was reviewed with me and presented. Five stars for the communication, cleanliness, and professionalism by the entire team. Perfect experience. Once I filled my paperwork out and calmed down a little bit, I was called back. The female that did my eye health exam knew what she was doing and how to do it. Ended up conversation and realizing what a small world it is when we were talking about Bellevue TN. We both have family in that small suburb in TN. The doctor, Dr. Kretch explained to me what was going on with my eyes and how important it is to protect my right eye. Explained what was wrong in the most detailed, yet simplified way than any other doctor I've had in all of these years I've been on this floating rock in space. definitely recommend this place if you need contacts or glasses or both.

I gave her my insurance information, their Dr ID# with my insurance, only for her to say she can't verify my coverage and needed to have her office manager look into it and call me back. Took 2 days to get back to me. we scheduled my appointment. I waited 2 weeks for this appointment. Appointment was confirmed via text. the day before my appointment I received a voice reminding me of my appointment and that there would be a $44.00 charge for the special retina screening that this doctor requires at all appointments. No matter if you are a new or existing patient. So I called the office to I quite about why am I just now being told about this charge. And mind you, insurance doesn't cover this. I was offered to reschedule with another doctor who doesn't require this. To reschedule would push me to Sept 18th. I asked for the office manager to give me a call. I was not paying for something that wasn't communicated to me when doing back and forth about verifying my coverage. The office manager did call me back and she understood that her office didn't communicate this properly to me. We split the cost. Now fast forward to the day of my appointment . Get there. The staff must have talked about me before coming to my appointment, because their attitude, body gestures and tone in their voice was cold. They were not friendly to me at all. Except for the doctor. He was good. But whoever employee # 034462. You were rude. I ordered my contacrs, paid and was handed my receipt without any communication as to if my contacts were in stock or not. So I asked. Rudely was told I will get a call in about 3-5 days.
