I've purchased glasses at LensCrafters for years and in general have been satisfied. LensCrafters in Indianapolis and St Augustine, Florida have been superb. I was self- employed for years and now since being retired money is tight and insurance that includes vision coverage is prohibitive. When I moved to the Fort I visited a small private practitioner to get a new pair. The exam for a new patient was $250.00 so I switched back to LensCrafters this time as they advertised an exam for $99.00.......good deal! My experience with the doctor serving LensCrafters was excellent and my glasses were ready in four days. So far so good! My three stars review is due to sales and delivery. After I picked out my frames and was ready to pay my bill the salesman asked if I wanted a year warranty on my glasses for only $44.00. I declined thinking it was too money to pay since I had ordered the scratch free option. He told me they didn't cover scratches etc. unless I bought the warranty. Suddenly he decided that he could take $50.00 off the price of the glasses if I bought the warranty! So I now have a warranty. It appears that the cost of their glasses are so inflated that they have a lot of money to play with. It would have been nice if they just charged me $50.00 less in the beginning!! I got a call that my glasses were ready for pick up. I arrived at the store at about 6:00pm on a Friday night! The store was busy but only two staff members were on duty. I waited for 45 minutes and lots of people were milling around the store and were waiting for help. When they got to me the manager could not find my glasses.....what the hell! It tuned out that they had reversed my name on the computer making it almost impossible to find my order. I finally got the glasses and after an hour I was out of there!......the glasses fit well and seem really good......let's get organized folks!!!!!....but I got a nice warranty!!!!! read more

In about an hour! nice glasses, nice selection. LensCrafters is where it's at. Nice glasses. They will get to you in about an hour. Go walk the mall while you wait for them glasses in about an hour. They will get to you in a jiffy, in about an hour. Go walk the mall for a little while. I go to the food court while I am waiting about an hour. They will send you a text and let you know. I like to go to diary queen on the top floor over by the food court. I go to the cell-phone fix it shop. ATT and all of that while only waiting about an hour. Spencer's is fun! I like the yankee candle shop too! After doing all of that your glasses should be about done! In about an hour! close to it. read more

I broke my glasses recently and needed a new pair fast. My prescription was outdated so I scheduled an appointment online went in for the exam and was highly satisfied with every one there. Till when checking out I was asked if I would be ordering a new pair of glasses. When I stated I would be needing rhem that day . I was informed that they had " progressed past" one hour glasses and would be 7 to 10 days. So I left. read more

Bought 2 pairs of glasses, spent around$1300 Have not wore 1 pair of them yet the other pair I bought started falling apart In 3 days. Went in all the could do is tighten them up and say they will come loose again nice $700 for that pair. They told me to get some loctite and put on the screws . Excuse me I paid for a service that can't fix a issue, after wearing them for a few months now I see little straight cracks forming down the outside edges of both lenses my only thoughts is these are cheap never again I'll go to a reputable place compared to this one. They even ordered the wrong contact lenses for my wife she. Said that's not what she ordered when she went to pick them up they couldn't find her prescription or order in the computer she left them there and they told her 3 weeks to get the contacts she wanted. They call the next day and said they was in, picked them up and everything was correct. 2 weeks went by and they mailed her a package with the wrong lenses in it that she left there. So apparently lense crafters has no idea what they are doing can't repair brand new glasses that you buy there and sell cheap lenses for glasses . For me the selection is lacking. And then it use to be get your frames in 'About an hour' but past six years, that's not been the case for me. They just seem to have way overpriced glasses. read more

Really nasty staff, lied to me on the phone multiple times about taking my insurance. Ignored my calls and voicemails and then told me on the last day of the year they no longer take my insurance. Super rude on the phone. I recommend literally any other place, there are tons of competitors. read more

I had an amazing experience at LensCrafters today! I originally had an appointment at JcPenney optical, but they would not take my insurance and insisted it was a discount card and not real insurance. Being bummed out, I went across the mall to LensCrafters and see what they could do. Not only did the accept my insurance with only a $10 co-pay, but they also made me an appointment the same day! I walked right in and filled out 1 page of information and then I was admitted back to the room where I was very well taken care of. The whole appointment maybe took 1/2 hour and it was amazing. The doctor read my current prescription on my glasses and said no much has changed from last year. He was very friendly and relatable! I will definitely be back next year! read more

If you have insurance make sure you know your number because if you don't, they will not look it up for you. My husband had an appointment and gave his insurance but they said we were not covered and rather then help and look it up for him I had to do it , it would of taken the receptionist 2 minutes to call and verify the info, and when I gave it t ok her she was very rude. And there selection of glasses is very limited and horribly over priced. Will not come back to them again. read more

I've been going to this LensCrafters for a few years, and I like it very much. My vision is very poor, so I have a prescription that is difficult. I can't go to places like Stanton. I've tried, but they turn me away. Dr. Robel gives me a thorough exam taking into account not only my vision but my eye health, too. The frame selection is great, and I always find something that I not only like, but is within my budget. They take insurance, and always have my glasses ready within an hour. We have always had a great experience at this store with top notch customer service! The prices can be higher than other store but you get what you pay for. If you have children with glasses and travel, we would definitely recommend LensCrafters!!! We were in Georgia a couple of years ago when our son broke his glasses. We found a lens crafters a few minutes away and they were able to pop his lenses into a new frame for only $25(we had the protection plan) and 20 minutes later. They saved the vacation! read more

I was impressed. I went in and gave them my current prescription and I had glasses in one hour ! It was pain free. The sales person was very knowledgable and wasn't pushy about making extra sales like cunningham's do. They were also less expensive than cunningham optical. Lens crafters also had more sophisticated equipment to measure the frames to the eyes - not some ruler - and the bifocals were perfectly positioned ! read more

I was so impressed with the customer service at this store!! I recently purchased a pair of Burberry glasses there and I just wasn't happy with them. It wasn't that there was anything wrong with them , I just didn't like the weight of them after I wore them. I went into the store today to order another pair. A manager( and I feel terrible HER name escapes me) told me that they have a 30 day return policy if you don't like your glasses. I told her I wasn't aware of that and that I was at about 50 days. She stated she was going to honor it anyway and I ordered new glasses!!! This is how a store earns your business!!! read more
