Been going to this location since the mid-2000s. They have always taken great care of me. Even though it has been several years since I've had to go there, I was still given great service. Recently, I had to replace a lens on my Ray-Bans. I was unable to replace the lens on my own. Thankfully, one of reps helped me out. Big thanks to Nicole! She was aweome!

Birthday gift alert! Meta glasses with sleek black Plano frames and clear lenses that shift to green.

Exceptional experience at LensCrafters in Colma! The entire staff was welcoming, friendly, and attentive, working efficiently with multiple customers. Meryl stood out for her outstanding product knowledge and patience, taking the time to explain the difference between polarized lenses and other options in a way that was easy to understand. I purchased two pairs of glasses and left feeling satisfied. Highly recommend this location for your eyewe--needs!

Just so it's clear which store I'm referring to...

Sometimes, I wonder how this location stays open. Stopped in to get new set of lenses on a pair of glasses today. After seeing the prescription, just uploaded to their system 2.5 months ago, the employee tells me that she needs a new prescription because she can't use the one there. When I ask why, she tells me that the data isn't shown as progressive lenses. When I asked a clarifying question...the response was, "I'm not licensed to do that?" What? Not licensed to read data? So, this isn't the first time I've had issues here, and I thought I'd give this location another shot. Looks like I will still need to go elsewhere where they can actually build glasses with a current prescription.

My expensive frame from a different place was fitted with my new prescription lenses from here! Thanks LensCrafters!

I don't like change. Wait. I embrace change to be adaptable because resisting change is shunning growth and that is the easiest path to death. Having said that, I am the ideal target demographic because I trust brands and consistently depend on them over the long term. I made the mistake of going somewhere else for my glasses and it was horrible. My prescription was off and the glasses (lenses) were worse. I paid so much money for those glasses that I never wore because I was pressured and guilted into buying them after waiting 2 weeks for them to arrive. I need my glasses. I went back to my tried and true - Lens Crafters. I scored a same day appointment. How super convenient?! The personable, professional Doctor did my eye exam for $59. They were happy to change the lenses in my expensive as hell frames with my new prescription IN AN HOUR! I flashed my AAA card for a nice discount. The service here? OUTSTANDING. Thanks to JUSTINE. What a departure from the horrific wildly unprofessional experience I had at the other place that basically forced me to pay for glasses I knew wasn't the right prescription. In the end, change is good for certain things. For everything else, stick to what works. For me? That's Lens Crafters.

How much do Lenscrafter charge for adjusting glasses I did not buy from them?

Lenscrafters does free adjustments. But they do ask if you'd like to make a contribution to their non profit organization OneSight.

My life changed for the better when I finally paid Lakeside Optical a visit a couple years ago and…read moremet the man, the myth, the lens legend -- Emmanuel. The instant joy and peace I felt was almost spiritual. Like, is this what I'd been missing as an adult? Emmanuel is patient, thoughtful, and has an almost unsettling ability to read what works for you better than you can yourself. He steered me past my usual boring picks and into frames I actually loved. I left feeling like a new person. Dramatic? Maybe. But good glasses will do that. Fast forward to today -- imagine my devastation seeing his business listed as closed on Yelp. I wasn't ready to grieve. So in a moment of denial, I called the number anyway... Emmanuel answered. Of course he did. Turns out he's between locations, and so he offered to meet me at the Peet's coffee shop in the Lakeshore Shopping Center -- and showed up with a variety of frames already tailored to my facial features (sent him a selfie in advance to refresh his memory). We spent 30 minutes picking out two pairs of glasses from the trunk of his car while I took selfies to audition each frame (was able to forward the selfies to my wife for some quick validation and to ensure Emmanuel hadn't lost his touch). Honestly? The most fun I've ever had spending money. I think there's some unique potential in setting up a mobile glasses dealing operation and I hope others are able to benefit from his unmatched kindness and his superb ability to offer tailored selections based on quality, style, and cost.

Sorry - I accidentally pressed "send"…read more As I was saying - I picked-up my prescription glasses last Friday, March 27th. It was too dark - not for office use. The young lady (another young employee - no name tag) who gave me the glasses asked me to try it for 3-months and just come back if it won't work in the office. What made it more frustrating was she didn't even adjust the glasses so it falls each time I wear it. I went back last Saturday, March 28th - to have the lens changed and the glasses adjusted. Another young guy said I need to come back when Zenia or Josephine is around. For God's sake!! In the decades under the care of Dr. Yamada - I never experienced these poor services: dark glasses like shades; glasses given without adjusting; called the office thrice to ask when Zenia will be around - you cannot reach a live person - - all recorder. How many times do I need to go back to have this fixed? It's just a waste of time. I wish these young ones will be as serious as those senior emloyees.

The office staff is very responsive and helpful with making appointments, pulling up insurance details and billing. They carry a diverse selection of frames for prescription glasses and sunglasses from regular brands like your RayBans to luxury brands like Prada, Gucci etc. You may need to book your vision exam a few weeks in advance due to high demand.

Dr. Kutzscher should have honored…read morehis Hippocratic Oath and performed an eye exam as he was paid to do, billing insurance under the doctors' name while ignorant technicians are the ones doing the work of the MD is wrong, perhaps he should retire if he is tired of performing eyes exams. The technician assessed my eyes through an array of lenses and enter her data in the computer, Dr. Kutzscher came into the room, exchange pleasantries and signed off on the RX without preforming an eye exam. The new RX had a huge change and I was concerned. I bought 2 pairs (clear/dark = $1,400) of glasses with Kutzscher's optician. It took 4 weeks to get the glasses and when I got them, I had a horrendous pain in the eye with the huge change on the RX and had a hard time reading/seeing. I called several times to speak with Dr. Kutzscher, he finally returned my call and said my eyes needed to adjust to the new lenses and agreed to see me three weeks later. Once more the technician assessed my eyes through some lenses and asked me to read some charts which I did with lots of errors but she said it didn't matter. Dr. Kutzscher walked in the room read her notes in the computer and said to keep using the glasses until my eyes adjusted to the change, without performing an eye exam or regard for the pain that I was suffering. I asked him to change the RX, he said there is nothing wrong with the RX, but how does he know if he never performed the eye exam. He should have honored their re-do policy as offered at the time of purchase if the glasses didn't work. The office staff and the optician are very rude, perhaps they believe if they intimidate the clients, they get paid and the problem goes away. Five months later, since the pain continued and I couldn't read or see I went back to my previous eye MD, a true gem, who stands by his work. The doctor performed a comprehensive eye exam and said the pain on my eye was due to the wrong prescription. He assessed my eyes and wrote a new RX. He said if there is any problem, he will re-do my glasses at "no cost". My new RX was a gift sent from heaven I was able to see and read without pain.

The doctor himself had great manners, took his time to really understand my symptoms (unlike another ophthalmologist I had seen in the past who rushed me), and was also making conversation getting to know me and such. He was super friendly and professional but had to knock off a star due to wait time. My appointment was scheduled for 1:30PM and I waited until 2:20PM before he got to me. Probably because he is chatty and likes to get to know his patients...so scratch that I'm giving back the star. 5 STARS! Highly recommend!
