I've gone to 2 Lens crafters one in L.A and the other in Scottsdale and I refused to do business with them because the associates were rude ! I said well I'll give LC one more chance before I go to another optical place because I like Lc but I can't do rude ppl. Beware of this place, and always be certain to check yor invoice. I bought prescription sunglasses and eyeglasses at this place and discovered, after I got home, that I had been charged $35 for an eyewear protection plan on both sets of glasses. The problem here is that nobody asked me if I wanted it, or even told me I was being charged for it. I didn't even have a pamphlet explaing what it is. Also, this was charged to my flexible spending account debit card. This is not an eligible expense, so I now have to call my plan administrator so that I do not get a %100 penalty for the erroneous charge. This LensCrafters is absolutely the worst. We've had 3 experiences with them and all have been lacking. The lady at the front desk doesn't seem to have her stuff together and the lady doctor is rude beyond belief. It takes forever to get acknowledged or serviced, even with an appointment. We will not be going back. Three people in my family need vision service and this place will absolutely not be getting any more money from us or my insurance. We will be going to Luxe Vision down the road from now on. They were extremely nice and helpful. read more

I'm not sure I will ever use these guys again. I get it that COVID is an issue. But, they promised a 2 week delivery. Then, after two weeks said the glasses (which I could have gotten cheaper online. Stupid me) came in, had a scratch, and a new pair would be ready in 1 more week. 1 more week went by and I didn't hear. So I went in. Nope. Another week. That was yesterday. I hear nothing. I call today and they are saying another week and give me a feeble "due to staffing in Georgia" answer. I don't trust what they say. I paid more than I needed. The customer experience is weak. My first time to ever get glasses. It was basically a dull and drab experience. I was using insurance so they tried to sell me more than I needed. When I refused I was lead unceremoniously to a poor selection of $100 glass. $100 is not small potatoes to me. Now I have to drive back to pick up my glasses, that I was made to feel is like the cheapest, plainest glasses and still cost my insurance about $300. What a drag. read more

I have had good experiences with LC in the mall but the people at this one make are a different story. This place doesn't have their act together at all! I went in to have my glasses adjusted and the woman tried to do it with her hands instead of using the machine to heat the plastic so of course she broke them to where they are no longer wearable. I HAVE to have glasses to see and be able to function at all so to say the least I was pissed. She didn't even apologize or anything. Then I went to get a new pair of frames and the same woman said she would hold them for me until I had my eyes checked the next week and could give her my updated prescription. Well I called to make sure they had them still on hold and they had taken them out and put them back on the floor. So I had to go back again today and tell them to actually hold them for me so I can get my new prescription in a couple days and get the glasses this weekend. This is a review of LensCrafters in general, but specifically also this branch. LensCrafters are part of Luxottica, so not independent, results in them acting on behalf of the brand (in my case Oakley) and not the customer. Specifically related to this branch, do not expect them to assist in dealing with defective items bought from them, they will just refer you to the Luxoticca, so once again, they are not customer focussed, but just want to sell you their parent companies products. Do yourself a favor, find a truly independent optometrist/optician. read more

I had a pair of Oakley sunglasses that the right nose piece came off and lost it. Purchased before COVID and happened during afterwards at location in Barton Creek Macey's that closed. I had a regretful experience at Lens Crafters today. I have broken my frames and went there to seek help in repair, replacement or substitution. The woman there was cold and dismissive. Here is my complaint with LensCrafters in general: They don't stand behind the products they sell you. If your glasses fall apart on you, even if they haven't suffered any trauma, LensCrafters will not repair or replace them for you unless you bought an additional "insurance" on top of the cost of your glasses. Here is my complaint with LensCrafters at the Galleria in Bee Caves: They broke my glasses, then refused to fix them or compensate me in any way because I hadn't bought their "insurance." (Sounds a bit like extortion, huh?) When a screw came out of my glasses which I had bought from them about a year before, I took it to them to put a new screw in. The glasses did not have any other problems, had not been squished or tweaked in any way. The screw had just worked itself loose, as they do sometimes. The glasses were otherwise perfectly fine. They took the glasses to the back room to work on them. When they brought them back out, the replacement screw they had put in was wedged in at an angle, the head of that screw was broken off and one of the struts that hold the screw in was bent. What's more, one of the lenses had one large and several smaller cracks around the edge. Clearly some serious torque had been applied (it's not easy to break the head off a screw, even one of those tiny glasses screws). When I pointed this out to them, they said that that was unfortunate, but they wouldn't fix any of the damage. They said it must have been that way when I brought the glasses in. They said that since I didn't have an additional insurance policy on the glasses, they had no responsibility to fix them. (I'm not making this up, they really said it was not their responsibility!) They said they had just been doing me a favor to replace that screw in the first place. The jammed screw that they put in worked it's way out about a month later. I've been using wire ties to hold the arm on for the six or seven months since then. I am in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for a few weeks. I stopped by a glasses shop here. I was just looking to see if I could replace them cheaply, but when they saw the wire holding the arm on they insisted on trying to fix it. About 30 minutes later the glasses frame was repaired. They straightened the strut, rethreaded it, put a new screw in, cleaned all the face grease off and realigned them for me. Then they refused to accept any payment for all that work. They wouldn't even let me give them a bit to buy their lunch. I didn't write up my experience with LensCrafters for many months because I thought perhaps I really was in the wrong, perhaps I really should have bought such an insurance policy, and perhaps I was just being a spoiled brat for being upset about what happened. I actually blamed myself for the state of my glasses that they broke. Jerks. Shame on LensCrafters for having a policy of NOT providing service to their customers. Shame on LensCrafters in Bee Caves for not fixing my glasses when they had broken them. I strongly recommend against buying glasses from any LensCrafters, but especially from the LensCrafters in Bee Caves. read more

If I could give them a worse rating I would. This is the worst Lenscrafters I have ever been to and I would recommend if you want to go to Lenscrafters in Austin, to go to the Lakeline Mall location instead. From the rude, inept salespeople, to the moronic manager, where to start...I honestly don't feel like spending 20 minutes to explain just how horrible the service is here, suffice to say this wasn't an isolated event, we were forced to go to this location over 6 times in order to buy 1 pair of glasses and have them get them right, and even then, we left with a product that was ultimately damaged by one of the salespeople, but no time to get it fixed before we leave on a trip. Worst service ever-they took about an extra month to come in then the 2 pair of expensive glasses were crap. The sunglasses had just a slight tint and my clear glasses had the high end lenses in and the coating scraped off on both lenses. I have visible lines all over the lenses. I always kept in a case and took care of them. I had been very sick the past year had no time to bring in so when I finally did, I was 8 days past my warranty so they said so sorry wish we could help you! Don't waste your money. read more

I retracted my previous review. When I picked up my botched order... one employee (an East Indian woman I believe) was so gracious and apologetic... that I want to re-frame my review. The store is beautiful, the staff in the store are great and yet they botched my time-sensitive order by allowing a employee-in-training to make a silly mistake on my $400 lens-only order. We were greeted instantly the moment we walked in by the manager Amanda. She took our information right away and got a print out of exactly what our insurance covered. After that she let us browse at our leisure without pressuring us towards anything in particular (which can be pretty uncommon when you're looking for glasses), but making some recommendations based on what we were looking for. After we were done selecting our glasses she got us completely squared away. They unfortunately didn't have one of the lenses for my wife's glasses at their location. She got right on the phone and found a nearby store that had the lens that we needed and offered to pick up the lens on her way home so that she could have my wife's glasses set the next day instead of having to order them and wait to get her new glasses. My glasses were done in less than an hour and I couldn't have been any more pleased with the service. I would recommend this location to any of my friends. read more

Wow, I've read some of the poor reviews and my experience was exactly opposite from the 1 or 2 stars. I'm in my late 40s and have never worn glasses. I took in my prescription, was able to take all the time needed to pick out frames. They went over every detail of the cost with my insurance and I could add or take-away what I needed. They were so polite and courteous. I was told my glasses would be ready in about 2 weeks, but it could be sooner. I got a text that they were ready in less than a week. I went and they fit perfect right out the box, no adjustment needed. Because I was so impressed, I took my wife by to get her new glasses. Again, the same great treatment. After a day of wearing my new glasses, I wasn't sure I liked them. I contacted the store and they said I could come in and find something else. We went in, I went through all the glasses again, but was still fine with the ones I chose. Had I wanted anything else, there were going to accommodate and make sure I had something that I was happy with. All I can say is these employees were great and I find it hard to believe that if you had the same guy and two ladies we had, you'd ever have a bad experience. read more

I went in to get my glasses adjusted and ended up with a brand new pair of glasses with the help of Ashwitha Putti. She was very helpful as I explained I am going for an interview and thought maybe I needed a different look. She let me know of the designer sale of 1/2 off and found pair that completed my interview look. Unfortunately, the time to have my prescription filled would take longer then I needed and would not be able to wear in time for interview. BUT, as it happens, I received a call and they were ready! We have gotten glasses from this location on three occasions. They are usually average, mostly because they always seem to be understaffed, but we have always been happy with the end result. Yesterday was an exceptional experience all because of one employee that went above and beyond. Their sales associate Debra was amazing! They didn't have the lenses we needed at the Galleria location and she knew we were going out of town the very next day so she personally took our prescriptions and glasses to another location and made sure that they were filled in time for us to leave town. I received eye examine for contacts,and they let me use some daily contacts and said come back in a week.Well that was strange,then in a week,i purchased contacts and they would not let me have them because i couldn't put them in myself.So why was I able to leave the first time with a 1 day contact for 7 days. Made 2 visits to store. First time selected a frame and got fitted. I didn't have my prescription but they assured me no problem, they'd just call and get it. I gave them Dr.s name. They wrote up order and gave me a price. Said I could just call back and purchase when I decided. Since they were quite expensive, I looked around to be sure I was happy with my selection. I went back in a week or two to try on again to be sure and went through whole procedure again with MANAGER to order. I was puzzled and said they told me I could just order over phone but I went through entire fitting again. Whatever. Ordered. Drive an hour over there today to pick up, and the prescription was totally wrong. They never called the optometrist and just put in a random prescription. UNBELIEVABLE. So I spent about an hour and a half driving to and from and they can only say, "Sorry". And that was for $650++ order. I should be used to this type of service as that is what I encounter usually these days. I don't think I'll ever use them again. if I can ever get this order right, I'm done. Broke my glasses prior to my 14 hour drive back to Florida. Walked into the store and was greeted immediately. Told the associate my predicament and Corey the technician took my glassses and replied about 20 minutes he would have them fixed. Happy to say it took less then 10 minutes. He had them good as new. I asked how much , he replied no charge. Asked if I could tip him, no he said with a smile. I notice a donation jar on counter and contributed. Very happy with this center. read more

My family had used LensCrafters for years but quit using them 2yrs ago. When I tried to get a reasonable cost on some computer glasses as I have really good insurance; the manager was very rude stating they didn't sell the lenses my insurance paid in full for and if I wanted to go cheap I would have to go with lined bifocals. Suspicioning upselling next visit for sunglasses I checked my EOB and talked to my insurance to find they overcharged me $50. I took this information to the store- manager refused to talk about it and had me deal with salesperson who sold the glasses. They were to file a correction which they never did. Btw salespeople are really nice but the manager knows nothing about customer service. We will drive miles to avoid doing business at this LensCrafters location. read more

I can't say enough nice things about the service I received at this store. Patrick was very helpful in selecting frames that fit me correctly, finding out my insurance coverage and explaining the selection of lenses available.
