I am completely dissatisfied with my experience at this LensCrafters location. I ordered eyeglasses and paid approximately $540, which I consider an expensive purchase. During the process, it was not clearly explained to me whether the discount applied was a new-member discount or the discount I may be entitled to as a Medicare beneficiary. That lack of clarity was frustrating and should have been handled more professionally. After placing the order, I was never properly contacted to let me know that my eyeglasses were ready. I eventually had to call the store myself. During that phone call, I was treated in a rude and disrespectful manner and was told that they only send text messages. However, I was not properly informed of that policy, and I never received a text message. I later contacted the store and submitted a complaint. A few minutes later, another representative called me, but that interaction was also aggressive and unprofessional. When I finally picked up the glasses, I felt the service was incomplete and far below the level of care a customer should receive, especially after paying such a high amount. As an elderly customer and Medicare beneficiary, I expected to be treated with patience, respect, and clear communication. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. They seemed very nice, but later realized they were only interested in making a sale. Ordered a pair of eye glasses for my daughter. The prescription does not match the frame. Before purchasing asked if it would be a problem. The sales person assured us it would not be. Received glasses and one lens looked like a bottle cap and extended so far out it it looked as if it could cut her cheek. They have a 30 day return policy, but once we returned the following day they were extremely rude and they're attitude completely changed. Ordered my glasses a week and a half ago, sales rep told me to expect the glasses in 5-7 days and whenever I call to see the status of my order they have absolutely no information for me, each sales rep that's picked up has been increasingly less helpful and the last one told me I need to be patient. I paid $700 for a pair of glasses which is insanity and you're telling me you don't even know where they are? Absolutely ridiculous customer service, LensCrafters please get it together. You can't be a high end store with customer service of a Wendy's, I need my glasses to see and I've been out of luck for a week and a half after a sales rep from another location broke my old pair. Upon arriving at the store location within Aventura Mall, LensCrafters secretary took over 10 minutes to see me and my husband after a line of guests and then enter all information in their system. Up until then, not a problem at all with me. The problem came when she came over and mentioned Dr Joshua Morell was NOT going to see me because I was late!!!! If anything, 5 minutes late added to the line and a slow receptionist does not make ME late. Total lack of respect considering peoples life routine, traffic, etc that now I would have to reschedule because the doctor was upset with the slight delay, provoked by his own team and ambiance! I even mentioned if paying $600 was not worth it, but apparently it wasn't, as he would not see me at all. Did I reschedule as requested?? OF COURSE NOT!!! I am taking my eyes and amazing cc to another location where I will feel respected and appreciated. At least!! Remember, at the end of the day, to them you are just one more that can not see well. Totally misleading sale information. For memorial day weekend, it said 30% off frames and 50% off lenses. We wanted to buy a pair of glasses, just the frames, non-prescription. They had them in stock, but when we asked about the 30% off, they said no that only applies if you order prescription lenses. However, the ad right in the store, and the signage, said 30% off of frames. Very misleading, and I don't support businesses that lie to their customers. Avoid this place if you can. read more

This location is a really bad one to shop at. Go somewhere else if you can. LensCrafters is decent from my experience, overall at least, but this location fails big time IMHO. In trying to get them to look at issues a pair of glasses, they had the wrong hours on their website so I showed up when their publicly state hours showed they were open, but ended up wasting my time after seeing that they were closed an hour earlier. I mentioned it to one of their employees and was met with apathy. The second time, when I showed up for an eye exam, they had an emergency water break but never contacted me to let me know that my appointment was cancelled. I was very nervous coming into Lenscrafters to get prescription eye glasses. I made an appointment with the Optometrist, Dr. Charles Rosenthal. When I arrived, they were able to see me right away. The staff were friendly, and the doctor was extremely knowledgeable and patient. Dr. Rosenthal never made me feel rushed and answered every question that I asked. After my exam, Xiomura helped me pick a pair of glasses that was suited for my face. She took photos of me in over 10 different pairs of glasses so that we could compare styles. I never would have been able to find the right glasses without her. So here is one of my favorite things about Lenscrafters. They will redo your glasses without any hassle (for the first 30 days I think). Once I had my glasses home, I realized that I needed to be able to see better clarification at a particular distance for my computer monitor. I was able to make a quick appointment and get the new lenses (progressive, transitions) in the same day. Free of charge, the doctor talked to me to help figure out the best solution. Also, one important factor is that they are also very skilled at adjusting the glasses. They also have a machine to heat the frames if needed. Xiomura was able to adjust the frames in a way that they fit perfectly. The prices for the frames are over-inflated. But they often have coupon specials on their web site. The skilled service to help get the right pair of glasses makes it worth it. read more

I chose my frame & gaspero said not to get them because he is an expert because he used to make lenses & they will look terrible with my high prescription. He spent a good 12 minutes berating me for my frame selection. Years ago LensCrafters told me the same thing & they ended up being wrong. (The glasses ended up looking great.) Clearly gasparo didn't know what he was talking about so I disregarded his commands & chose my favorite frame. Gasparo made it clear that he felt some type of way about it, had an attitude & tried to make me feel dumb, like I'm wasting his time for my frame selection. He wouldn't answer simple questions like "what's this device that we're putting on the glasses?" , "what's a digital print?" I asked gaspero if there's ANY WAY to lower the cost of my glasses since my total was over $700, he said "NO you're only paying for just the FRAMES & the LENSES, that is all" I told Gasparo I can't see because my eyes are dilated so I asked gaspero to break down the pricing (everything I'm paying for) since I can't see anything, & he again said the only thing they're charging for is the frames & lenses. later I saw he added several things I never asked for, never wanted & he never even offered me, like a protection plan & Polished lenses. When I received the glasses the lenses weren't even polished! ,but I absolutely LOVED the way they looked! Gasparo said they'd look terrible but they looked great! Gaspiro tried to justify his sneaky extra charge by telling me the lenses are polished but they obviously weren't. It was like him telling me the sky is green, but I didn't complain because I never wanted polished lenses. I just don't understand why they'd charge me for something I never asked for & they never offered me & they never provided me with. When I got the glasses it had something small on the left lens that I thought could be wiped off. I assumed LensCrafters wouldn't deliver glasses with a dent on the lens. Next day I saw it wasn't wiping off, I rubbed it with my finger nail & realized it was indeed a dent. I returned to LensCrafters on my next day off to show them the dented lens. Renaldo for some mind-boggling reason decided to take the lens out of the frame just to look at a dent in the middle of the lens which makes no sense. He pushed the lens back in and ordered new lenses. At home i saw that Renaldo scraped the frame when putting the lens back in. I called to ask for new frames also since Renaldo scraped them. I returned to LensCrafters for the 4th time, & they wanted to replace just the lenses but not the frame that Renaldo scraped. Renaldo went as far as to say that I'm seeing things that aren't really there. he denied that he scraped the frame and said he doesn't see anything. Again it was like him telling me the sky is green when it's obviously blue. They said they'd install the new lenses in 2 hours but 3 hours passed and they never called or texted so I went to the store a 5th time & received my glasses but this time the lenses were POLISHED which I never wanted, never asked for, was never offered, although I did pay for it because gasparo took advantage & snuck the charge in since my eyes were dilated & I couldn't see. The glasses now looked bad with the polish. a shiny polish made the lenses look thick. I asked for a refund for the Polish since I never asked for it, never wanted it & never even received it the first time around. Renaldo said that they will not refund it. I was charged for something that I didn't want I didn't ask for & didn't even receive the first time around. Renaldo also tried to justify the additional charge by saying that my first set of lenses were polished even though they clearly weren't. when you put them next to the new set of lenses which WERE polished the difference was like night & day. Again it was like him telling me that the sky is green. At that point I was so tired of their dysfunction that I left without asking them to remake the lenses with no polish /no Dent which is all I wanted. read more

After going 53 Years without glasses and realizing I am not as young as I think I am I decided to make an eye appointment and see what's what. Phoned in given appointment time with 30% off for AAA membership made the new high tech "Clarifye" exam reasonable at $57.00 instead of $85.00 Appointment time honored while the nurse / Tech did the exam with all types of high tech gadgets. Waited about another 10 minutes for Dr. Rosenthal who then had all the exams uploaded to his high tech system where he reviewed than took me through the next level of exams including pupil Dilation and inspection of eye itself. Didn't like what he saw and gave me further high tech optical exam which took pictures which were uploaded to his screens. Even had other Dr. review results which he then emailed to me for my review for future reference. Bottom line I NEED GLASSES. Provided Prescription which can be used anywhere but the nice lady Yvonne assisted me in selecting stylish frames, the proper lenses and told me they would be ready in 1 hour. Received email at 55 minutes indicating everything was ready, email receipt of all purchases and was given options for warranty, insurance etc. Even fitted for size on head after lenses were put on. Provided some complimentary cleaning items, etc. First Of All I'm a high tech person so this new system is by far light years ahead of anything else anyone is using. Dr. Rosenthal and associate were nice, professional and on top of everything. Sales associate was no pushy, and made the entire experience as truly top shelf as it can get.. I was recently in Aventura Mall and wanted to buy some new eyeglasses but needed my eyes examined first. Got an immediate appointment as a walk-in. It was a weekday afternoon as well. Dr. Margaret Strumski was the optometrist who examined my eyes. She was very thorough in doing the exam and I am very appreciative of the time she took with me to get the prescription better than any optometrist or opthamologist has ever done before. I highly recommend her and she is available on Mondays and Fridays from 12-6pm. read more

Came here 3 times, to order the glasses, pick it up, and adjust. When I came here to order and pick up the glasses, the customer service was excellent. It was a young girl, super nice and helpful. Came 2 weeks later to adjust glasses. It was a different person who helped me. She had a very bad and negative attitude. You could tell from her behavior that she had zero desire to help. This makes me come to the conclusion, that if you spend money , they are helpful. But when you come to adjust their own product, they have zero interest. All in all, will go somewhere else when I need to get another pair of glasses. Keep in mind, prices are very high here, and certain level of service and attitude is expected. read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I paid $900 for 2 pairs of sunglasses with the same prescription. They were Rayban frames and in-house progressive, polaroid lenses. One pair was OK but the other one was blurry in the right eye. I went overseas to the UK for 3 months and wanted to return them but could not get back in time. The website I checked said the return policy was 90 days so I didn't worry. When I got back and went in they said it wasn't their website and their policy was actually 30 days. They told me I could not return them. I had been a loyal Lenscrafters Aventura customer for almost 20 years so I was upset that the young female manager had a childish and uncaring attitude. When I told her so, she got even more childish and refused to talk to me! I have more mature teenage children. They tested my glasses and said they were perfect. So I took the glasses to For Eyes in Aventura to test them, and also another place in 163rd street (America's Best I think it's called) and they both confirmed the adjustment for astigmatism in the right eye was bad for the pair I challenged. Again I went back to Lenscrafters and told them. They tested them and insisted they were correct. Even Head Office didn't want to know! So I was forced to claim from the credit card company for my $900 and will never go back to this unprofessional place. I will miss the ONE good employee, Marsha, who has been serving me for over 10 years but so glad I will never see the others again! The only thing that makes LensCrafters aventura worth anything is the eye exam you get at dr Rosenthal's office And they have nothing to do with LensCrafters. Just the convenience. But I highly recommend dr Rosenthal's office for your eye exam but don't let them walk you over to the rip off LensCrafters. So I had a 60% off coupon for lenses with the purchase of a frame. I get veralux transition no line bifocal with prism lenses so of course they are not included in the discount small print exclusion. So I picked a Ralph Lauren frame and with my lenses he tells me they are $1400. Yes $1400. Yes my lenses are special I get it Then all of a sudden he says If I get a second pair I could use the 60% off coupon for the lenses WHat the heck??? Well I have been a stupid ass customer of LensCrafters and they did a great job in making my glasses. I have no complaints there with the workmanship. Customer service is literally like fast food They don't give e a rats ass bout the customer. Especially if you are just browsing. They will ignore you. I saw it while waiting for my eye exam and while ordering my glasses. I go to pick up my $1400 glasses today. She takes them out of the case. Opens the frames and hands them to me to out on which I do. Then she says Ok have a nice day. WTF she wasn't even going to see how they fit clean them not a damn freaking thing. Do not go here. Specifically, a sales associate named Jessica who was the rudest and unprofessional sales associate I have ever had. She treated my mother and I very badly. I procrastinate doing appointments and running errands. So getting new needed glasses was on the list and I didn't want to take the time. Finally I knew I couldn't go with the old and needed new. I went to LensCrafters checking frames and then about a week later actually lost my glasses. I went back and found frames I liked and put them on hold for the next day when I could get an eye exam because of my schedule. Though I waited almost 30 minutes past my time it was well worth the wait! They just installed the newest technology called Clarifye for the exam and it was awesome! Between the receptionist to the tech and Dr. Ned Rosenthal it was the best experience ever! The exam went quickly and accurately and then I was helped by Julianna to fit my frames and lenses. They had a great promotion on prescription sunglasses as well so I got two pair. I have to wait about 10 days for my regular glasses due to the needs but my new prescription sunglasses were ready in no time and I can see!:) Everyone was so helpful and friendly! Terrible sales service, lack of transparency about lens and prices. Sales agent over priced products blaming computer system malfunction! Unbeliavable! The gentlement that was taking care of me left in the middle of my questions to answer his co-worker questions for 3 times without an apology or without asking if I'd mind. Rude! this place was terrible I got my lenses there and under a month there were all scratch and because I didn't purchase insurance which it was never offered to me anyway, they refuse to replace them unless I pay for the lenses again, also I contacted their corporate office which it didn't mean nothing anyways since the store has the last word, and they still want me to pay except they were giving me a 50% off of the original price when I was asking at least to use the discounted price that I used with my insurance, after I complaint to them and thank them for nothing, I never heard from them, WATCH OUT!! you buy insurance and you still have to pay $25.00 or more depending what kind of lenses you got anyway if a company offers you a good quality it shouldn't have to be necessary to purchase insurance if they are sure the product of lenses they are offering you, like Costco no matter what they stand by their standards and customer is first not here I guess, they were rude at the store only when you at first they tried to make the sale other than that they don't care what a shame!! managers and store managers didn't do absolutely nothing they really don't care!! read more
