But to my surprise, I remembered I recently got my prescription not too long ago so I can hit up any eye glasses store and see if they had my prescription. I was willing to pay for a pair because I know how pricey contacts are. Luckily for me, I had the pleasure of speaking with Benji! Absolutely the best!! I called late night right before closing and he was so kind and so helpful with my situation. He went above and beyond for me! I never had such an amazing customer service like that!! He explained to me that he cannot sell me pair, he first needs give me a trail pair to see if my eyes will adjust well to the contacts. I stopped by the next morning, got a box for each eye and gave me a week's worth of contacts for the trail. I walked out without paying a dime! My husband and I went in for eye exams, and I purchased a pair of lenses from the store at Lincoln Rd. This is the series of unfortunate events that happened to us: - They canceled our first appointment and failed to notify us. We went in for our exam, and they straight up told us that somebody else called earlier on my name to cancel our appointment. It sounded very much like a coverup lie, but we understood the mistake and decided to reschedule. - I got their number from our insurance providers list (Spectera), and I also asked them if they worked with my insurance to double-check, and they said yes. After we finally got the exams, they told us that that particular doctor didn't work with insurance, so we needed to pay $80 each (when our insurance copayment is only $10). It was a very uncomfortable situation, and the services were provided, so we were forced to pay. They later agree to reimburse us $80. - They ended up charging us around $250 for a single pair of glasses. Our insurance covers $150 for the frames and the lenses for free. So a single pair of regular acrylic frames cost over $400?! I asked them to disclose the prices of everything to understand what I was paying for, and they got very annoyed and just were very vague about it. - After I came home, I checked the receipt to see if I could ask our insurance for reimbursement, but the ticket didn't say anything about the services provided nor the products purchased! It just said $45. Of course, my credit card was charged for the full amount. It just lives me thinking, is this something they do for tax evasion purposes?! - When they finally called to say that my glasses were ready, they asked me to pick them up before 6 pm. I went the same day, drove over 30 minutes, and arrived at 5:45 pm, and they were closed! It's been 3 weeks, and I still don't have my glasses! This just has been a month-long horrible nightmare. I feel belittled, scammed, and that I am some sort of a joke. read more

Worst lenses I have ever bought in my 30 years wearing glasses. They scratch from even the cleaning cloth they come with. Response from the SEE store : all lenses scratch and they are meant to last only 6-11 months! These are my only glasses that are full of scratches from cleaning with SEE wipes. My optician bought glasses from my Eye Dr that I have had for years do not scratch this bad. Not even my cheap internet bought glasses scratch this bad. Going back to my Optician from now on! I'll break this review down into three sections: service, quality and price. The service was unparalleled. I haven't purchased new glasses in over six years so I needed a lot of handholding and patience. Kim, who happens to be the store manager, showed me roughly 60 pairs of glasses and never hesitated to give her candid opinion or spend more time making sure I was comfortable. I spent about 2 hours just finding the perfect pair. The exam only took a few minutes and the doctor was right on time (I had reserved an appointment). The quality appears to be very good. No name brands are sold. SEE only sells their own frames. The price was reasonable. I used my corporate insurance and purchased one pair of frames with high index lenses and a year's worth of contacts. Out of pocket cost was roughly $500. I absolutely love my glasses that I purchased at another SEE a few years ago. Popped into this location while recently on vacation. Same wonderful selection of fabulous, stylish, unique, well made glasses. Unfortunately the service at this Miami Beach location is awful!!! I would give 1 star if I didn't love their glasses so much. I purchased discontinued glasses slightly discounted on sale. They tried to charge me $99 for lenses. NOPE. Single vision lenses are always included at SEE. I literally had to pull up the website to show the employee that lenses are included. Sales person was VERY rude about it. I also chose to purchase some sunglasses from the clearly marked SALE rack. They were telling everyone coming in the door that the sunglasses on sale were $49. Salesperson rung me up for full price. NOPE. She literally saw me pick them off of the sale rack and another identical pair was still on the sale rack. I told her they were sale glasses and she got all rude again and tried to debate me, insisting I pay full price. Unbelievable. I was so ready to WALK OUT of this SEE store because I was so annoyed and frustrated. But I didn't. My glasses and sunglasses are fab. But I highly recommend NOT BUYING HERE. Try on or whatever and then buy online or drive to another location (which probably isn't close, but worth it to avoid this place) to purchase. I just purchased my second pair of glasses from See. On a whim last year, I walked in to take a look. My laser eye surgery didn't fully correct my vision, but now that I don't need bottle-glass thick lenses anymore, fashionable lenses are actually an option for me! See obtains their frames from European makers and claims to offer innovative styles without the European price tag. I just think they have cool funky frames and I appreciate that price tag includes the lenses. However, the price tag does not include the "extras" like anti-reflective, scratch resistant coating etc. That will run you an additional $100. The on-site Dr. offers late appointments and is available on the weekends. The Dr. I saw was great and I believe gave me the most accurate Rx ever. My second pair took about two days -- a lot quicker turnaround time than last year's pair. That's because See now has an in-house lab and can do some prescriptions in 20 minutes (if it's not busy). As Siobhan V. mentioned, all the sales people are friendly, attentive and helpful. This is my go-to place when I want a new look -- especially when I can do it using my flex-spending/health savings account! read more

I've walked by this place maybe a million times on my way to or from work. I finally stopped in because I needed new glasses and they accept my insurance. SEE is open late on Thursdays and Saturdays and Dr. Boeckel was really chill and patient with me. I would have expected to see him on a surfboard before seeing him in a white lab coat. This boutique is super cute with vintage black and white photos in gold frames hung throughout the store. The walls are whitewashed and there is no shortage of mirrors. Maybe it's just me, but I found it a bit unusual that not a single employee was wearing glasses. Anyways, they have a decent selection of frames and sunglasses. There are no designer brands here like Versache or Chanel like at my previous eye place - only SEE brand frames in a variety of shapes and colors. Every hipster in Miami Beach must buy their specs here. I was happy to find a pair that matched perfectly what I was envisioning in my mind. Really great glasses! Everything in this store is manufactured for See. The salesperson said often times, if a design is sold out, they won't make that particular pair of glasses again. I had been debating a pair of specs from SEE a few months back, and felt guilty cheating on their super friendly staff for a pair of gorgeous designer frames my mother treated me to at the Aventura Macy's. Their eyewear is very reasonable price-wise and very hip style-wise. A couple weeks ago I was lucky enough to score a gift certificate ($200) to the store and decided it was time to upgrade my sunglasses. I went in and got all the help, support and validation I needed from Anna to pick out a pair that works with my face and not against it. I ordered my new shades ($250 sans gift card) and they were ready a week and a half later. Super super easy process. They even let me fax/scan in my prescription from home when I realized I had forgotten it, no big deal. Buying glasses at SEE is just easy. It's just easy. read more

All of the associates we're busy helping other customers. The manager was on a personal phone call. I looked for her to help me pick out some frames. I got the ugliest look as if I was bothering her. I continue to help myself shortly after continuing my search. One of the sales consultant came over to help me best she could while juggling other clients. When she asked her manager to help me. She also receive the same look. I have never been so turned off in a professional atmosphere such as this. I have worked and shopped on Lincoln Road for 15 years. I have purchased all of my Frames from a select few staff members. For some odd reason See Eyewear is taking a shift hiring sloppy and rude employees. While visiting Miami from NY, randomly decided I wanted a new pair of glasses and was psyched to find SEE in Miami since there is also a store in Manhattan that I've checked out in the past. The glasses I think are way overpriced considering they are all plastic, but that's what's in right now, so they can charge as much as they like. I was able to find a pair that I really liked off of the sale wall and they were able to have them fitted and with the right lenses by the next day. It was awesome. Whenever I wear these glasses, I always get compliments from random people (they are square black frames with a little pink and blue stripes) and they work to be both casual and professional at the same time.
