I finally got the chance to replace my old Walmart 3+ year old gasses with a name brand... hey, I deserve name brands, too! Anyway, from start to finish our experience here was awesome! Carlos(employee) was very professional & helpful. With his great customer service skills and knowledge with their product It was easy for me to want to purchase my glasses here. Carlos made us feel like he had our best interest and made sure we understood the differences in the add on's. It can get pricey, but they have a credit plan where you can apply and pay off with no interest fee within 6 month's. Yay! I haven't been to an optometrist in over 20 years so I was a little nervous about the whole eye exam routine. However, the moment I walked in I was greeted warmly by the staff. The check in was smooth. The receptionists were friendly and efficient. Dr. Kent Visher was knowledgeable, made me feel comfortable and answered all my questions. Exactly 45min I waited for an adjustment. Longest wait ever. I could have drove to Ala Moana and have someone help me once I walked through the door instead of signing in and having a seat. First time coming here and last. Three workers were with 3 customers I get that but two people walked in for a pick up got helped and one got their frame adjusted as I waited and watch them walk in and walk out? Nope wasn't gonna wait another minute more so I left. No sense of urgency. read more

Stopped in here about a week ago for an eye exam and contact lenses. The staff were really friendly and the wait was not long. Dr Gee did an excellent job with the prescription and helping me with contact lenses. My eyes are not a prime candidate for contact lenses and she took her time finding a combination to try. Went back today for an adjustment and once again Dr Gee did another series of test to adjust the haze I have having with my distance vision. The new prescription is great and she said to try it out for a week and come back if I need another adjustment. By the way there wasn't a charge for the adjustment and new lenses! I can see! Yay! They have Optometrists available if you do not have a prescription. Unfortunately, I have horrible eyesight and astigmatism, so they dont have my lenses ready BUT if you dont need a super strong prescription like mine, then they can make your glasses the day you purchase. If you do need strong prescriptions though, do not worry. It takes 7-10 business days and they are very good at calling you when it's ready. Side note: It's a great place to shop for designer frames. If you're not up to paying around 300 for frames, then this may not be the place for you read more

I have purchased 2 pairs of eye glasses and a pair of sunglasses for myself, as well as 2 pairs of eye glasses for my husband at this LensCrafters location. We both have had great luck. They gave my husband a one time upgrade to transition lenses because that was all they had in stock for his script and he was deploying soon and couldn't wait long. I came here for my first pair of glasses. Mario and Carrie helped me. They gave me excellent customer service. I found a pair of glasses that I loved but wasn't in my budget. Carrie understood and found the same style but a different brand. I was a happy customer. And I wasn't expecting to receive my glasses that same day but in less than an hour I had my new pair of glasses I definitely walked away in style and a more than satisfied customer. read more

I could continue to bash this place but I'll just say try somewhere else, anywhere else. Service bad, products and prices no better than anywhere else. My eye doctor is with Inspecs but they have such a small selection of glasses there that I decided to go to here. The guy Chris who helped me was very nice and it was in and out in no time. But the price... It's crazy expensive. I got Ray Bans which were what you would usually pay for them so that I don't mind. But what costs an arm and a leg is replacing the the lens. I didn't want to wait so I paid the price (don't ask now much ) but I'd say if you have time definitely to go Sam's or Costco to get a better deal. I later realized that my job reimburses a certain amount so I don't feel as bad now. read more

My first mistake was shopping for frames half blind. My second was doing so at Lenscrafters. I was in the store for maybe 20 minutes looking for some frames. The shelves were not fully stocked, and I was not helped, but rather shrugged off by the staff. Annoyed, I still picked out a frame which was $189. After finally getting the attention of a staff member, we sat down to figure out measurements and cost. He talked me into buying a lens which put my total right under $350, even with the 50% off lens special. I liked the frames enough, so it was nbd. A week later I go to pick up the frame, and I was NOT happy. The lenses looked terrible, and when I expressed a little unhappiness, I was rudely rushed out and they didn't even give me a bag! I ended up going to the Ala Moana location since I didn't appreciate the pressure at the Pearlridge location and returning them there. Needless to say, I was not treated in a friendly manner or helped when they saw I had a return. In fact, one woman (who was with a client) apologized on behalf of Lenscrafters. Terrible service! I called a few days before my appointment and was told my insurance would cover most of my exam except the contact lens fitting fee which I was told would be $46.00. They also said I would need an Optomap and it would be $36. I get there for my appointment and they said it would be $129-159!! Ridiculous. I explained that I didn't really need the Optomap because I work for a medical retina specialist and I have pictures taken of my retina all the time. They said I had to have it done and pay for it or I couldn't proceed with my exam. Look, if I want to defer something I will. Once I was finally called back about 30 minutes later, the tech and frankly everyone in the place was unfriendly and unprofessional. Once finished with the exam I was looking for glasses to buy because I really needed a pair that day. NO ONE helped me. I looked for quite awhile, trying on different pairs. Still no help and they were not busy. The workers were all gathered at the front counter, along with the optometrist, just talking. Needless to say I walked out. This store really needs to get it together. I have worked for a Lenscrafters doctors office before and this would have never been tolerated. And now I have learned that their GM is friends with an old boss of mine back on the mainland. Maybe I should contact them. Do not go here! read more
