Had to go four times to get my glasses almost right. In the end gave up and found another optometrist.

Absolutely excellent in every respect. Diego is a modern marvel. I couldn't be happier with my new specs. Thank you.

Outstanding technician. Immensely knowledgeable provider. Delightful staff…read more Some optometrists are excellent technicians and refine your prescription to perfection. Some have great knowledge bases and answer questions on eye care with in depth, accurate, and actionable advice. Dr. Glasser is both, and arguably the best at both "sides of the coin" of any optometrist I've visited in my life. Importantly, Dr. Glasser and his entire staff are efficient and pleasant. They honestly try to make your visit as pleasant as possible. In an age where healthcare tends to be actively hostile to the notion of customer service, it is refreshing.

My issue is the way I was treated on my last visit by his assistant after it became apparent to her that I would not be buying frames or lenses from the practice. Her attitude immediately changed when I asked for a prescription. She stood up, went to ring up my copayment, and when she returned with the prescription she remained standing and was abrupt with me when I asked her to explain the change in my prescription, which was in a format I was not familiar with based on what I received in prior visits. I'm an educated person who wants to know how things work and what numbers actually mean, not merely to be told that "any qualified optician will understand" the prescription. I was made to feel stupid and like I was an imposition so I left and fed the prescription into ChatGPT which politely explained it to me, including how a progressive prescription can be translated into single vision distance and reading prescriptions, and what the numbers mean. AI was more polite and patient with me than the assistant. Despite having no issues with the doctor himself, I will not be returning to this practice in the future. The barriers between patients and medical information are evaporating due to AI. Doctors would be well advised to ensure that they and their staffs at least match the courtesy of ChatGPT. Update: In response to Dr. Glasser's comment, all I can say is that it would have taken his assistant less than a minute to sit down and politely explain to me the meaning of the numbers. Regardless of whether I'm dealing with an optometrist or a cardiologist, I take it upon myself to gain a thorough understanding of my heath, which is what ChatGPT provided and the assistant did not. If the doctor doesn't want to take constructive feedback on such a simple point, then I suppose that my decision to go elsewhere is the right one.

The environment was relaxed and friendly, and they actively helped me find the perfect frames. Their selection of frames was substantial, and they had a wide range of prices to fit my budget. I liked the "option" of scheduling my appointment online; their webpage was easy to navigate, and it provided me with selection dates and times to schedule. I was also able to pre-register on line. Their advanced technology assisted in providing maximum eye exam evaluation, and my doctor communicated thoroughly the results and health condition of my eyes

That shouldn't happen since I always get the extra protection, and I use a special lens cloth to clean them. Glasses are all but useless once that happens. I don't recall that ever happening before. The prescription sunglasses they made for me, at substantial expense, are an optical mess. Wavy lines, visible color prism, ill-fitting--unbearable. Gonna try another place this time now that I have a baseline.

He had a flat affect and set a negative stage. I said I prob need more than a routine eye exam but was happy to start w that. He lmk that a dry eye test isn't covered by ins (which is fine) and not to expect that I could do both in one visit (also fine). He then said, the appt will be 15 min tops, so it's not a time to ask questions. I said, of course I want to be able to ask a couple questions, espec bc of eye irritation lately. He said, "I see your insurance is (x) and that only pays us like $60 per visit. We can't give patients longer than 15, we'd go out of business" (!) I couldn't believe it. The rudeness and the gall of mentioning my coverage resulted in poor profit for them. I suggested he NOT say those things to new or returning patients and he said he was trying to manage expectations, that patients "always complain" they want to be seen longer but it's not doable. Talk about poor patient relations/ customer service. I realize what the medical system is up against w insurance is rough, but never has a public-facing clinic employee been so dissuading about the care their provider provides. I can't NOT recommend this place enough; take your business to an office that will value it.

I chose to happily pay $205 for new lenses because I loved my sunglasses and wanted to keep them. A mandatory frame inspection required me to go into a WP store (4 hours from where I live) to have them approved. Once I finally had a reason to be in the same city as WP, they confirmed my frames were fine and agreed to the lens replacement. During the lens replacement, WP broke my frames. I received email notification about this that was unclear (again) of the refund process. Phone customer service was polite, but extremely dependent on getting answers from a manager with long holds in between. WP issued a refund for the lenses but was unwilling to provide a replacement for the ones they broke. I got a $20 coupon instead. This was an incredibly frustrating experience and I will be shopping for replacement sunglasses elsewhere.

Mind you, we have been using Warby and Parker throughout DC and Maryland since 2022. I get out the car to go inside to explain to the person checking my son in, we have no cards but are regular customers. As I was approaching the young lady, I saw my name on the pad. I was explaining to the young lady, he is under me if you look up my insurance he would be under that one. An older (caucasian) woman said if we are not able to locate his information he would need to reschedule because there is a 5 min grace period, but she would need to check with the doctor. She returned in seconds to say my son would have to reschedule because he was late, I told her he was not late and that he was on time! She was admitted and with conviction stated again he would need to reschedule because he was 5 min late. I was extremely upset looked around in the store and told my son "Don't he ever book another appointment with this store, ever again!!!! I had to explain to my son he was being racially profiled. I wanted him to know what and how that looks coming from a white woman! She was polite with a smirk/smile letting my son know he was not welcomed in that location. This have left me with the worst feeling I've ever experienced and have never been turned away from an establishment. I immediately called and filed a complaint and wrote a letter (Via EMAIL). I will not every patronizing this "business/brand. I encourage anyone who has an experience once they walk into this establishment and is treated poorly walk away and take your business elsewhere. Oh, my son also told me while in the car, how the older "White" women was letting him know he would need to pay $95 +additional fees as if he was not able to pay trying to discourage to leave. Well, he may not have understood what was going on, but his mother absolutely did and I was disgusted. I will continue to post and provide my negative experience that I received from this establishment.
