Breakfast burrito- can't remember the name but it was soooo delicious!

Recently came for Sunday brunch during a family visit. Had to wait for a little while because the place was hopping busy. Let me tell you, the wait was worth it. The food was absolutely delicious and filling. I got a breakfast burrito and could only eat half at the restaurant. I was blessed enough to enjoy the rest on my way home, and will absolutely be eating there again. 10/10

came by friday morning (5-23-25). "awesome place, people and great atmosphere . i loved it

Always fast, fresh, and friendly. Hard not to like the staff and their energy. Great scrapple, crispy breakfast potatoes, etc.

Updated review 6/19: Awww Lenny's, it looks like I'm going to have to break up with you! You've changed, you've been cheating on me! you're bae-con my heart! Whenever we made a trip to CB, we'd always make plans to see you! But we're done! It's over! You know what you did! In case you're scratching your head, here's why I've fallen out of love with you: This past weekend, my sis and niece came to see you. My niece had never met you and we were excited to introduce her to you. Sadly, you made a terrible impression. We sat outside at one of three cute wrought iron tables all with umbrellas and the front door was bright hanging plants and flower pots. Looks can be deceiving though. Our server, Kyle, polite and friendly, was just not efficient. We asked for items several times and he'd come back and forth and forget to bring them. When our food did come out, very slowly I might add, it was awful! My meal: the scrambled eggs weren't scrambled, it was like a big flat yellow blob. I ordered country ham but was served a burnt ham steak. When Kyle brought the correct ham, it was tasteless. The pancake was sad and doughy, they used to be fluffy and golden brown. The grits were lumpy and just plain blech!!! My niece's meal: She ordered Eggs Benedict with crab meat. DON'T ORDER THIS! It was simply gross. Not only did it look disgusting, but when she and my sis tried it, they gagged. It was smelly, fishy and bad. The management made lame excuses when I told them and gave me a hard time when I asked to take it off the bill. Instead of taking the whole price of the entrée off, they just took off $3.50 for the bad crab. My sister's meal: She ordered sausage and eggs which was edible but not great. She and I went in to see about the bill, and we saw that the staff had changed... the short order cook was some young dude who was plating up some nasty looking food. He definitely doesn't know how to cook eggs. We left dissatisfied and disappointed! So, Len, here's your ring back and don't try to call me.... we're over! Some of the photos in this review of are our happier days together. I'll cherish those memories fondly...

Light breakfast, one pancake, one egg, choice of breakfast meat. Just enough!

So my first review of this place was ten years ago. Sadly, my opinion of it has now changed. New owners, new remodel......but inferior food and service. We visited in May 2019 and I had some apprehensions about the situation we found ourselves in. After this past weekend, I'm done with Lenny's. We walked in around noon on Sunday (well past the breakfast rush), took a look around and there were five empty tables but they still had dirty dishes all over them. There were 6 or more dishes of food on the counter presumably waiting to be delivered to diners (and obviously getting cold). As we stood there waiting, no one even greeted us. We turned around and left, had breakfast up the road. Sorry Lenny's!!

I was pleasantly surprised and impressed by the quality and quantity of fresh and delicious food…read morethis evening at Marie's! I ate one of the most tender and moist fried chicken breasts that I have ever tasted. the mashed potatoes were fresh, hot and creamy, two types of gravy were offered and both the cornbread and biscuits were tender, flavorful and delicious. The broccoli was steamed but not not floppy and the green salad was a generous portion of green goodness. I could only eat about half of the offerings and the price was less that $12. from where I was sitting, my daughter's bar be que chicken and Mac and cheese looked great and my granddaughters child portion of turkey dinner was as delicious and generous as the adult meals. We will return here again! absolutely amazing!

You get nice proportions and food isn't too salty. I have no complaints and I rather go here over Cracker Barrel! Fight me... Lol!! I usually order the pancakes or French toast. The only complaint I do have is the size of the onions they cut with the potatoes they could cut them a little smaller. Lol! I bit into what I thought was a potato and nope.. It was a damn quarter sized onion lol!

Lunch/brunch whenever spot if my other DC native girl friends want to meet up, and don't feel like…read morecooking or hosting Really great atmosphere, usually good service, and spacious tables in case one of us is exceptionally hungry. They do a great job of refilling coffee and tea in the afternoon. That's rare. The food is good, and so are the portions. Not too huge, but enough to forgive a good friend for stealing a bite. I always get scrambled eggs (2-3) and prey on my friend's pancakes when they aren't looking. Don't fret. We split the bill evenly.

Another DC restaurant group still charging an "I82" fee and then they come around with their card…read morereader and a default 20% tip preselected on top of the fee as if I82 wasn't an effort to reduce reliance on tips. As always seems to be the case, this place is run by a restaurant group, because I have yet to see a small independent establishment pull this nonsense. Food is passable albeit not great. Just note that in the name of "transparency" the prices are hiding the actual costs behind this fee. If you want to round it out to 20% with a tip, at least the fee tells you exactly how much that is. I have to assume the 10% fee is going to increased wages because that's what I82 is about. If the restaurant group is pocketing any of that balance then they are just stealing from their staff, which might explain why the staff is not upfront about the rationale for the fee.

I tried a Carnegie Diner in NY a few years ago, so it was cool to see that one opened in VA. The…read morerestaurant was very bright and spacious inside, with a classic American vibe. I was intrigued by the pastrami sandwich options on the menu and really appreciated that gluten free bread was an option, so I had to try it! I was not disappointed at all. The sandwich was hefty - packed with meat, and flavorful. I'm not sure I liked the pile of salad that comes on the side - it's a lot to finish for one person and seems a bit wasteful. The service was good, but the sandwiches did take a bit longer than expected to come out. That might not be the case for other dishes though. I would certainly visit again!

2 out of 3 isn't bad, but it's not great, either…read more Like other diners here in NYC and elsewhere, Carnegie has a huge menu and serves generous portions at appropriate prices. For example, yesterday, I had their Peter's Special, a sandwich made from 1/2 lb of pastrami and 1/2 lb of corned beef. Except that it's not "a" sandwich, but three, all on delicious rye bread, each with its own pickle, and a small helping of slaw, sauerkraut, and a major pile of salad. It was my lunch yesterday; the remaining two sandwiches are my lunch today and tomorrow. That's three meals for $30, which, to me, is a reasonable price. The problem was that the more they do to create the food, the less flavorful it is. For example, on another recent visit, I had their Country Style Omelet. Again, it was huge and contained everything that goes into a great omelet. Except, there wasn't a lot of flavor. And that seems to be the theme. I grabbed a slice of their 24-layer cake and, again, big but not much taste beyond sweetness. If you crave a lot of food, then this might be the spot for you. However, if you prefer less and more, smaller portions with better, more nuanced flavor, then maybe try one of the other nearby restaurants.

Solid, modern eats with a nostalgic vibe!…read more Always a fan of Silver Diner and this location does not disappoint. The vibe here is of a casual diner, with an expansive menu that changes often with the seasons and local eats. I came here after visiting a friend out in the Waldorf area and decided to grab take-out before heading back into DC. I will admit I almost did not stop here because it was near closing time and I hate order from place near closing. I got here near closing and the food was just as fresh as if it was opening time. We all know how it is getting somewhere to eat near closing time.... You tend to get subpar service and food. You subject to getting a scraps, bad orders, guilty eye rolls from your server, "ain't got this, "ain't got that," issues....lol. But, this was not the case at this Silver Diner. It was a great experience from beginning to end. Our bartender/server was Cameron C. and he did an amazing job serving us and making us feel welcomed. He's truly a people person. He kept the drinks on point while we waited for our food and made sure our orders were prepared exactly how we requested. During this visit, I tried the Short Rib Burger, Loaded Fries as a side & Buffalo Wings. Everything was delicious and fresh. And, the burger was the star!...A juicy 1/2lb burger pattie cooked to perfection....topped with bacon & tender braised short rib!! It was complete meat overload, super fresh and sooooo good! For anyone that is "meataholic" like myself...you gotta try this thing. My wings and the loaded fries complemented my dish well too. Not to mention, everything was packed well for the long haul and drive back to DC....of course, I couldn't resist and snuck in a few bites of the fries at each stop light heading back down Route 5. Let's just call it a #qualitycheck! lol ;-) In all, I enjoyed my visit. This location gets two thumbs up in my book. I'l definitely visit this SD again if I am ever in this neck of the woods hungry and in need. * Yelp Elite Tip & Honorable Mention: Sign up for their "Eat Well Do Well" Rewards Program. LOVE the coffee sooo much, we bought a bag for home! Super cute, artsy establishment. Presentation is always on point buttt the food was wayyy too salty. I feel so weird saying that because I'm typically disappointed in the lack of seasoning in restaurants. NOT HERE. Hubs agreed ... his eggs and my salmon frittata and potatoes were just not edible. Today, the standouts for hubs was the million dollar bacon; for me, the cheese grits and honey biscuits and, for both of us: the coffee. Worth the visit. Will return. Will just be more selective with my order.
