The meal started with some wonderful Italian bread and breadsticks along with some bruschetta. The linguine with white clam sauce was classic except that the first batch of clam sauce had very little flavor and didn't have enough liquid. The kitchen made me another portion of the clam sauce and it delicious and loaded with clams. Great reasonably priced restaurant near JFK!

I haven't been to Leni's clam bar for many many years, but my brother from Sweden wanted some steamers. On our way home to Brooklyn. We stopped in for a fantastic meal. We had some amazing Manhattan clam chowder soup. It was thick with clams and not the watery liquid. You normally get. Next we had baked clams which were delicious. And we finally had some steamers which comes to the water to clean off the sand and some clarified butter. Service was excellent and we really had a five star lunch.

My visit to Lenny's Clam Bar was to celebrate a relative's retirement and since this is a restaurant that I don't always get to enjoy I will never hesitate to be on point for gatherings that will be held here. It's in a section of Queens that is not easy for me to get to unless you're driving or taking an Uber/Lyft so keep that in mind before you make this a plan. Our party was on the large side so they set us up in one of the side sections which takes you out of the main dining area but it is quite cozy as well when all comes down to it. The only downside is the length of the table sometimes prevents conversation with those you might want to talk to and could find you playing with your phone if you're not in the mix of a discussion. While everyone present was able to choose their own entree, the rest of the fare was dealer's choice, meaning the family member that was footing the bill and that consisted of some salad, baked clams, mozzarella sticks, calamari and bruschetta and a dish of pasta with sauce. There was also copious amounts of fresh bread on the table and I do love bread. Everything was very tasty and I had to be fast to snap pictures before the ravenous grabbed everything shortly after it was presented. For my own entree I had the chicken francese which I like for the most part. I'm not the biggest fish person but I didn't really have a complaint about this. I did expect the portion to be larger than it was but maybe there is a standard that they are following at such gatherings. Our servers were friendly and quick as was possible. We surely kept them moving with drink orders and refilling of plates of certain items until the entrees came out. Suffice it to say I had a good time and didn't experience any of the issues I've sometimes seen in other Yelps but for me that is a good thing. I did have a minor critique from a tech savvy sort and that was with their open Wi-Fi signal. This doesn't appear to extend to some areas and it was making updating online feeds about the experience a little harder to do. Perhaps a couple of extenders should be added so all the foodies can get that stuff done and perhaps even inspire additional diners. My two cents. I do look forward to returning but cannot even determine when that might be.

It was our first Easter Sunday since my mom & Dad Passed. Mom alway did all the cooking. So we decided to go to Lenny's for Easter. It was a great decision. I can't say it enough the service is great. Our waitress was very fast & friendly, Joe the owner was walking around greeting everyone, and we did the right thing we came in the evening after five so we beat the crowd of the morning and the afternoon. It was decorated nice with flowers and balloons and the food is always delicious. Our appetizers were great, there was only five of us without my parents so we got fried calamari, mozzarella sticks for the kids and they're delicious...delicious ribs as an appetizer. For our main courses, they always aim to please. My Daughter got linguine Alfredo, her boyfriend got stuffed raviolis and My Son had his go to penne Alla vodka sauce, all the plates had enough for four people. My wife ordered her favorite, lasagna, which came out on a plate that looked like there was a cake on it, lol, and I decided to get the rack of lamb, which came out with an abundance of lamb chops cooked to perfection at medium to medium rare grilled nice and juicy. Each lamb chop mouth watering with a side of mashed potatoes and a salad. It didn't need anything else. There was so much food. We were too stuffed to have any dessert. I just had a double espresso to wake me up for the drive home, lol, I live in the neighborhood...ha ha. Thank you again Lenny's for saving our Easter Sunday. God bless you, mom and dad. They had Easter with Jesus. Bona Pasqua.

I took my mom and sister out to eat for my moms 67th birthday. She really wanted some seafood , and we have been living in Queens and never been to the famous Lenny's Clam Bar. So many celebrities have come in here and people even try to dine and dash here so that means the food is that good seriously though the staff were friendly , knowledgable on the menu, and even Lenny himself checked on us during dining. Lenny's clam bar is big , they have so many rooms and tables for families. They even have a woman coming to the table and asking if we would like to take pictures which is nice. The decorum is pictures of Lenny and celebs as well as nice art or photos on the wall. The food was amazing!!! So filling so tasty. There is only one chef making food which I liked , yes we waited 20 minutes for our entree however I respect and love the fact each dish curated with love and perfection. Each dish that came out the kitchen to other tables looked so good , I couldn't wait to get our food! The snow crab was buttery without even having butter on it ! It blew my mind how tasty the rice and snow crab was. Fried clams were very tasty and cooked perfectly. The garlic bread was genuinely juicy and garlicky , we wish we could make it at home! The linguini with calamari and Lenny's spicy sauce was soooooo good. Calamari cooked to perfection with a nice crispy outer layer and the marinara sauce with a kick ; it paired well with my calamari and linguini. My sister loved her Chicken penne alla vodka! Very saucy , creamy, and chicken cooked thoroughly. Thank you Lenny's Clam Bar for having us. We would definitely come back!

Seafood was fresh. Service was good. Bread was fresh. Stopped by after a day at the beach. Wanted something light.

christmas eve done the right way. took mom & dad to lenny's clam bar in howard beach -- been feeding queens since 1974 and still not missing. we started strong: fried calamari + scungilli drowning in hot marinara (as god intended). house specialty baked clams showed up and immediately reminded everyone why they're legendary. then we went full family-style chaos: broiled filet of sole with shrimp & scallions lobster tail fra diavolo (lobster, shrimp, clams, spicy sauce, zero regrets) eggplant parm with sweet marinara linguine with clam sauce and garlic bread so perfect it deserved its own chair. everything shared, plates cleared, pinot grigio flowing nobody rushed. nobody argued. christmas miracle. finished with triple chocolate cake and tiramisu that had us all quietly staring at the table like... wow. food this good, ambience is great, family at the table, queens classics. that's christmas eve done right.

I love their history of the place. 52 years open at the same location.

It's been too long since the last time my wife and I enjoyed a meal together at Lenny's. Their ribs are what we love the most and they treat us right and even give us a table by the window to enjoy the view. The staff is always ready to help us with our order and go the extra mile by putting our leftovers ( enough for another meal!) into a to go bag. Can't wait to go again.

Every bite reflects craftsmanship and pride. No shortcuts. No hype. Just results. The open, spacious layout creates an atmosphere that's relaxed, energetic, and inviting--perfect for unwinding, connecting, and enjoying great food without feeling boxed in. Lines at all the big spots (Red Hook Tavern, Brooklyn Crab, and Hometown) were long, but we decided to wait it out and get food here. Lines was not just long but didn't move for a bit. Despite that we were able to get seating. Like many BBQ places, you order at the register and they'll give you whatever is already prepare and then bring over the rest of your order at your table. Best dish by far was the Korean sticky ribs. The pulled pork sandwich wasn't great; not hot at all, just room temperature. The Vietnamese wings had good flavor but the skin is very tight (it's an order of a few whole wings, not drums and flats). Cornbread and dill pickles were great, potato salad was a bit too vinegary for me. They had the US World Cup match on, but not the audio until after they scored a goal. Felt like they forgot to switch the audio. A little disappointing. Overall a good but not mind blowing experience.

My order was correct and the receipt was stapled to a red canvas bag. The food was ready within the expected time. This was a very cold Friday night.. but I know when I'm in the area this whole block is busy! For a frigid night- there was no crowd yet I waited a verrry long time to get my pick up order which was waiting and ready in the counters. The food was pretty good- the Henny ribs, sticky ribs, chicken & baby back ribs with fries and the angry shrimp were very good! Fill of flavor and juicy. Will definitely order again. The corn bread was good- nothing special. It would be better if they cooked it with some butter to make it more moist. The mac and cheese tasted like boxed mac & cheese. What kind of cheese are they using?? Dehydrated American cheese?!?? There was bacon on top and it didn't matter- worst mac and cheese. I didn't like Batesy's mac and cheese- this makes their taste decent. It needs better cheese, some butter and a little pepper. I think it's also cooked stovetop- use a better mix of real cheese and sprinkle some breadcrumb or bacon and bake it! I won't order the mac ever again. If I go back it will just be for the ribs. I'll give the wings a try. I'll make my own mac and cheese. I'll order fries and 1 corn bread. I like the convenience of ordering for pick up and the items I wanted were on the doordash website.

The waiter brought us upstairs and explained how the system works. It was pretty good but confusing. They start like a 90 minute timer but if you're new then you kind of don't know whats going on so I didn't like that part. The waiter would only cook in the beginning and we had to self cook ourselves. The fried rice took a while to come. The lobster rolls were really good. They got a nice selection wagyu cuts. There are extra vegetables in the back along with miso soup and they also have an ice cream machine. I didn't like how when you're cooking your food, there is no overhead vent like at other hot pots or kbbq places. So the smoke would like easily go in your eyes and idk it just wasn't as pleasant of an experience because of all the smoke- they need better ventilation. Also the tables are positioned far from the seat so you really have to lean forward and your feet don't have much space so your knees are touching the front of the island table and it's just not an optimal seating positioning (this is hard to explain but let's just say the seats are permanently placed slightly far from the table so you have to lean forward). Other than that the food was decent overall. Our waiter did his best despite the things out of his control. I'm pretty sure they forgot my fried rice because it came like 30 mins late after I asked multiple times. I don't really want remove points for that because it was probably short staffed but it was a Sunday so wasn't really that busy as there were a lot of empty seats. Idk I just didn't liked being rushed to eat and esp if the foods not ready and esp since the fried rice was delayed it felt kind of messed up that you put that 90 mins timer when you're not really ready yourself. I would've tipped extra or paid more for a cooking service because I really don't like to cook so I had my wife do the cooking for me but idk I just think that delays things esp if you got a 90 mins timer. Overall I'd probably recommend this place as it has a lot of potential. They have nice beer selection; was surprised they had import beer from Kyoto. Value: I get that it's wagyu but id say it's pretty expensive for what you get and the service. Plus when you pay, the waiter stands in front of you with their payment machine and waits for you to pick the tip choice on the mini computer screen so I didn't like that as that pressures you to pick a higher tip count idk. I prefer old school where you get a paper bill and pay with a card then they should come back with the paper reciept and then I'll pick what tip. And it's weird because they don't even keep cooking all the way so what am I even tipping for if we (my wife) have to cook the food ourselves and get up to get our own drinks and vegetables and what not.

There was a lot of energy in the place. The wait staff were friendly. Food was great but was pricey per skewer. Food 5/5: Delicious and tasted close to skewer cart (this is a win!). Would have loved to try more things but some skewers were up to $3 each so it got pricey fast. They did have a large selection of skewers to choose from. You get a wrist band with a QR code that tracks what skewers you order. Non-skewer items could be ordered using your phone. Everything was fresh. They had house-made spice and sauce packets at each table. Every table had a cheat sheet showing how long to barbecue each type of skewer. We tried the bbq scallops which were full of garlicky goodness and cold noodles which was a refreshing balance to the heat of the grill. Service 5/5: Friendly waiter. Gave us the run down on how things worked in the restaurant. Periodically checked in on us. No complaints. Ambiance 4/5: Prefacing that the high energy environment was not really my cup of tea but I know others may prefer it. Bright flashing lights and loud music playing over speakers drowned out conversation. That said, the tables were spaced well so every party had their own personal space and restaurant was clean.

The skewers are extremely overpriced - small fatty meat for over a dollar each is fine, but one shiitake mushroom quartered for over a dollar is ridiculous. You'd hope that veggies would either be packed on or cheaper. You definitely need to order a main dish or else you will be hungry. The Korean iced noodles were delicious and their eggplant was super mega garlicky. Would not come here again, but nice to try once.

The ribs fell right off the bone and had a delicious flavor, especially with their barbecue sauce. The pulled pork was incredibly tender, and the sides of mac and cheese and cornbread were absolutely stellar. The sausage was surprisingly great as well. Everything we had was very good, and everything is very reasonably priced. Our waitress was incredibly friendly, giving us tips and advice on what to order and making sure we were taken care of. At the end of our meal, we had their house-made key lime pie, which was amazing. The ambiance inside is classic beach vibes, which is very fun and was a great way to continue our beach day adventure.

Me becomes easily off the bone but it's still chewy in parts. The KC red sauce is forgettable, and if you've ever had authentic KC barbecue sauce you know that is a major unforgettable part. They have a nice selection of different foods on the menu, and the sides are pretty good for the most part. Service is very good and the food came out quite quickly. They have a take-out section in the back that is also very good.
