Famous institution in Queens! Stopped by after Rockaway Beach for some seafood. Lots of tables and…read moregot seated quickly. Service is meh, but seafood is delicious and super fresh. We got the French onion soup and lobster bisque. I've had better French onion soup (yes, probably shouldn't order at an Italian spot but i couldn't resist). The lobster bisque was yummy but you could really taste the heavy cream. No chunks of lobster. We shared a large fried calamari with medium spice marinara sauce and a dozen baked clams. The calamari needed some salt, but was fried well. Baked clams were absolutely SO DELISH!!! Use up that complimentary bread basket for them. For mains, we shared the shrimp parm, linguini pasta with clams, and rigatoni. Shrimp parm and rigatoni were awesome. Great red sauce. My pasta with the clams was super bland. No olive oil, no garlic. Couldn't eat it and took it home for leftovers to remake a sauce for it. After that, tasted good. We shared the tartufo for dessert. Can't go wrong there. I would come back if you're looking for large portions for dinner and want some fresh seafood.

Unfortunately, the traffic was terrible going down Woodhaven Blvd to get to Cross Bay Blvd. There's metered parking - not sure if the valet parking was for Lenny's. Anyway, that put a damper on the evening already. We were a party of two so when I called for reservations, they said they don't take for just two people. Luckily we were seated right away when we arrived (around 6 on a Thursday). There were many menu options (Thursdays is Prime Rib night). We decided to start with baked clams and I chose a Captain's platter (broiled fish, scallops and shrimp) with angel hair pasta and marinara. My husband had a seafood fra diablo on linguine. The service was quick with drinks and bruschetta and bread & breadsticks. The clams also came super fast. They tasted good. Then we waited a while for our entrees. My scallops were perfect but the shrimps were overcooked. The fish was ok. The marinara was on the sweet side. Our server was Eugene and he was fine. The place wasn't as nice as I had hoped. Not sure we would go out specifically to eat there again. If I was in the neighborhood, maybe.

It comes in a cute drink pouch, has a generous pour, and definitely doesn't skimp on the alcohol. Even with the rum, dark rum, orange juice, and grenadine, it still tastes amazing and strikes a really nice balance. For my appetizer, I ordered a cup of the New England clam chowder. It was fresh, creamy, and packed with plenty of clam pieces in every bite. Unless you're a huge clam chowder fan or planning to make it your meal, I think the cup is the perfect size to enjoy before digging into a seafood boil. For my boil, I ordered half a pound of mussels and half a pound of head off shrimp with Cap't Loui sauce at the hot spice level. It also came with corn and potato, and I added boiled egg. If you're someone who loves a Cajun style seafood boil with a noticeable kick, the hot Cap't Loui sauce absolutely delivers without sacrificing flavor. Another thing I appreciate is that they provide branded plastic bibs and gloves, which makes the whole experience much less messy and lets you fully enjoy the meal. The restaurant tables were also decorated with cute seafood-themed paper tablecloth to keep everything clean as well. The service was just as impressive as the food. Everyone was attentive, and everything, from the drinks to the chowder to the boil, came out surprisingly fast. This is easily one of my favorite places when I'm craving a seafood boil, and I'll definitely be back again.

Turkey Wings were flavorful and tender. But the Mac and Cheese was a hard pass. Just bland and not good at all... Customer Service was good. Most of the staff seemed friendly. So other than the bad Mac, why did I only give 3 stars? I was grossed out watching some of the sanitary practices of the staff while waiting for my food to be prepared, for example, wiping the counter then hanging the cloth on the oven handle is just a no for me. I get trying to keep the place neat and tidy, I'm just observant and aware. Reading other reviews, idk if I just came on a good day or what. but based off of my experience I would give this place another try

HUGE even. but one of our coworkers chose honey garlic on top of the red velvet with syrup and OoOoOoeeyyyy that was sweet! That's on us though for choosing that combo. The Shrimp and waffles was a weird thought at first but why would it be!? Anything fried with waffles is good! The Oxtail was tender and soft. Definitely well seasoned. paired with some coconut rice and beans. The Banana Pudding was a bit small for the group. We thought we at least get a small pint for the price. Overall it's not bad of a spot.
