Loaded hotdog

We really love Lenny's Burger. This particular location is a really well themed '50s diner. It has the red vinyl boots and the checkerboard floor and even a neon lit jukebox. Food is ordered at the counter. The menu is burgers, hot dogs, ice cream, chicken tenders - - standard '50s diner food. We ordered the pastrami fries, which were french fries smothered in Chile cheese and sliced with pastrami. It was a really big serving and tasted fantastic. Also order the hot dog with my favorite toppings - - mustard, diced tomatoes, onion, and jalapenos. Like the fries it came loaded with toppings and was delicious. It was cooked on a grill, not steamed or boiled. Last week, we had the fish and chips. Like the rest it was really delicious. This is fast food eating in a really cool atmosphere. Prices are pretty good too - - there is a cheeseburger lunch special for just $6.99!

I'm not a huge burger fan but I really really really like this one. I had the double burger that had thousand island sauce on it. The fries were decent but not anything great. The indie is super cute and has a classic diner feel. They also have a drive through which I thought was convenient. The guy working the counter was friendly and also helpful.

Great burgers. Great food and friendly service. Love this place. Love the old fashioned hamburger joint feel.

Trying a new burger.

The one thing I can honestly say about eating here at Lenny's for the last few years is that the food is always good and consistent we absolutely love their burgers and fries they're to me the best in Mesa way surpass Red Robin or Fudrucker's there's a couple of locations if you happen to be craving a good burger and you see one while you're out and about stop in and try some of the food. I'm a fan of either the mushroom burger or the hatches green chili burger both are super yummy on top on one of the juicy meat patties grilled to perfection.

Green chilis burger

I ordered the green Chilis burger for dinner, and it took forever. The food is good, I like the variety of burgers. They don't have a protein style option and had to explain. The ambiance does bring you back to the 50s diner.

We stopped in on a Sunday evening around 6:00 PM; the restaurant was quiet, so we were able to order immediately. The service was a standout. The cashier was incredibly helpful, guiding us through the menu with great recommendations. About 10 minutes after ordering, our food was served exactly as requested. The burgers looked fantastic, and both the onion rings and fries arrived piping hot. Beyond the food, the restaurant was well-maintained--the beverage station was fully stocked and the restrooms were clean. A particularly nice touch was when the cashier checked in on our table to ensure we were enjoying the meal. It was a great experience from start to finish, and we will definitely be back! .

The dining area isn't very big, and the place is on the cavernous side. Not much in the way of ambiance. The people who work there were friendly. Some of us ordered cheeseburgers while others ordered sliders. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and forgot to add fries. No problem, as my husband shared his with me. My burger was on the dry side, and it had an overabundance of red onion slices. The grandsons and their Dad liked what they had. In fact, they said they wanted to go back again.

They don't seat you until you order and one of us was running late, which "gave" us time to peruse through the menu. Luckily though when she did arrive it was before a mini rush, so no time needed to wait for a table. The employees were super nice - taking us thru the menu and how they operate. Counter order and table service. Had it not been a warm day, we would've sat outside (they have both inside and outside seating). It appears they have daily specials, but I went with a hearty stack of pancakes and some eggs on the side. As good as their prices are on drinks.. I just needed a hit of caffeine to get me thru that day. It be like that sometimes! We didn't have to wait long for breakfast and the girls kept the coffee flowing from cup to my veins. Some of the best brunch I've ever had, bar none. AND not horribly expensive- we love a place that serves tasty meal for $10-15 AND $5 mimosas. And they have TWO locations in town to boot!

It was pretty dry but so delicious. We will go back and try more items.
