This is a family favorite of ours, and it's fair to say I've grown up eating this food. It is legit. I've had EVERY single thing on the menu and my favorite still remains the Costillas. (Super tender and succulent pork ribs in a mild red chile sauce that is delicious!) the Carne Asada is also perfect as well as their burritos (they are so simple- meat, lettuce, cheese. But there is something so good about its simplicity!) The Carne Asada is seasoned well and everything just tastes better because it's all so fresh. We know the proprietor and I can vouch for the quality of food. I will say though, that service can be less than great sometimes, because this place is always packed, and these ladies gotta hustle. If you are starving this is not the place to go to! Parking is a hassle, and getting a table, well just take a book! The ladies working there can be a little slow and for some reason every time we go, they always forget my food! Other than that, the food is bomb! The customer service here is terrible. My parents just came home and and told me they walked out of this place because they were left unattended for over 20 minutes. No one acknowledged them even as the servers passed by them multiple times. It is ridiculous that two senior citizens would need to go through such a humiliation. To make it worse, they said this is not the first time this happened to them here. oh lenchitas! this is one of the few places where they give you a pound of tortillas with your meal and where the coffee, though brewed, tastes like watery instant coffee. service is good if you're into irony...if your into eating, then prepare to wait and then wait some more. i find the waitress with the painted red hair and stockings as forearm guards to be particularly charming. prices are very cheap but they generally match up to the quality of the food. it's worth a visit if you're in the neighborhood or if you're hung over and need some food to sober you up. read more

Food was okay. The place is very dirty. There was a waitress there that looked super ghetto. She's was chewing gum and poping her gum the whole time that she was taking the orders and serving. I believe that gum shouldn't be allowed while working especially NOT if it's in a restaurant. My boyfriend and I asked to drink coffee but as I was going to pour sugar in my coffee from the glass look like jar there was a long hair inside. Yuck that made me lose my appetite. I always order to go because they're service is kind of slow inside and if u call ahead they can usually get ur order ready in 15 mins or so (don't quote me on that, it can vary based on how busy it is.. The place wasn't as expected, the service was okay, our waitress was running around taking orders and going back to the kitchen and preparing the food, while other customers enter and sat there for a long time just to get service.
