I heard this place had a good rep by some Dundee locals. They test drove it and heard the noise, then put it on a hoist and checked everything on the front end. Thier conclusion was I need 2 lower ball joints and 2 sway bar end links. Quote to fix $600. I made an appointment for the next week. I called back days later and got a quote for ball joints only and skip the sway bar links. new quote for less work by a different guy... $635! Something not right here. We'll it kept gnawing at me that $600 or 635 was too much for that type of repair. I used to work on cars when I was young and had more time and less money. So I called a few other places that I used to go to when I lived in Adrian. Brakes and More = $519 Small. shop =$420 Larrys Muffler = 360 Hmmm. So I cancelled my appointment with Juckettes and made one with Larrys muffler. Well Larrys Muffler checks it out and determines that the sway bar end links are indeed bad.... but the 2 lower ball joints were fine and needed NOTHING. Cost to replace 2 sway bar end links ...$168 at Larrys Muffler. I almost spent $600. Was it an honest mistake or was I being suckered? You decide. I am giving the benefit of the doubt with 2 stars instead of 1.... with the conclusion that they're just really damn expensive." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- End review of Juckettes. My wife recently took her truck to Vulcan Tire to get a set of tires. She arrived about 5 mins…read more late for her 9:00 am appointment and was promptly told that she would have to wait until 10:00 am or reschedule. She agreed to wait. At roughly 9:45 am, they moved her truck into the work bay and quoted her a price that was higher than what they originally quoted her. She told them that she had to call her husband to decide if we wanted to pay the difference. The manager, Irene wanted her to decide on the spot and told the work crew to pull her truck out of the bay and now she would have to wait for yet a later appointment (mind you, her appointment wasn't technically for another 15 mins). My wife pointed out this fact, but Irene rudely told her that she didn't know what my wife wanted and that my wife was putting them behind. My wife was left standing there in tears. Irene was totally rude. It makes me wonder how much business they lose due to Irene's rudeness. I suspect that Irene the store manager is actually putting Vulcan Tire behind even if it's only in revenue. Bad form Irene; bad form.
