Really disappointed in Tyler at this location. Brought in a car that had a screw picked up from the road. He insisted on the idea that the tire was going to needed to be replaced because the vehicle has 50% tread life left. The car is new with 12k miles on it. 5 starts for this store and especially the crew. As high mileage drivers we tend to go through tires. I personally feel that tires are not an area you can skimp on. Discount Tire -Adrian always takes care of us. From our seasonal changeovers from summer to winter tires to rotations and new tire purchases we are always happy with the service and prices here. As an example, I called around for pricing before our most recent purchase. Another local store (across the street) told me the tire in the size I wanted was discontinued. They could find two here an one there and the last one somewhere else. Then they suggested a tire that I have not had good experiences with. The big box store had them. Tire Rack had them, Discount Tire had them also. They price matched the big box store, got our tires in one day and made an appointment for Sat. Sure, I assume you can find cheaper tires or a better deal on the install, but I don't think you will find a better group of folks to handle your tire needs. 3-9-22 update. We continue to have great service here. Brian and crew are always helpful, kind and courteous. They got us in and out quickly with zero drama and gave us more than we expected. I was just turned away for having TOO WORN of tires, REALLY!!!? apparently I am not allowed to buy 2 tires for my 16yr old truck because that would be unsafe for my transfer case....based off of the "drastic" difference in tread my engineered gear ratios could cause a FIRE...A FIRE are you F'in kidding me! When asked if they thought that improper air pressure (say from front to rears) would cause a FAR MORE drastic % in ratios they had NO COMMENT to fact based questions to disprove their statements.... Finally I asked if they really thought it was more safe for me to drive on bald front tires with a gash on one of my sidewalls...AGAIN, it was my problem and not theirs....I'm glad that in this economy they are doing so well at Adrian Discount Tire that they can afford to turn away customers...I bet that ONE lady sitting there was paying highly to keep your lights on. I should add that i have been replacing gears and maintaining a six million dollar machine for the better part of 10 years at far superior stress levels than running 4wd truck at speed limits with 9/32 of variance between my tires tread. read more

Never, never, never go here. Never. Drive on your wheels to Wal Mart or Vulcan or make it a Flintstone Mobile!!! Went in here alone (mistake #1) to get four new tires on my car. Not a tall order, I've done it before, it shouldn't have been complicated. I had a coupon (mistake #2), the only reason I went, that made the tires I wanted about $30 cheaper than anywhere else in town. While waiting, the very concerned looking tech came in and informed me that I have at least one bent wheel, possibly all four! Long story short, my $30 savings turned in to an additional $400 in wheels. Dumb, dumb, dumb to take their word for it. Went in for an oil change later, where I usually get tires. Told them what had happened, the wheels were still in the trunk. They put them on the balancer and guess what?!?! No bent wheels after all! It was a miracle! They must have healed themselves. My elderly mom had tires replaced there and they broke a stud. Sent her to get it fixed then refused to pay for it. Told her 2 different stories. First said it was already broke then said it was going to break before they touched it. Corporate didn't even return her call. Manager was nice but couldn't keep his story straight. It either was or wasn't broke before hand. If it was already broke they should have told them that, not that it may brake. Then 5 seconds later it's broke. It was all ok until they found out it wasn't a cheap fix like most cars! Never again! Don't stand by their wordZ you broke it, you fix it!! read more

Flat tire repair: left tire in the morning (Friday) and had an unpleasant experience. Had left phone # to call me when tire was ready and they didn't call back that day. I called but line was busy the next day so I decided to return to the store the next day after 3:00 pm. The manager who wrote up the work order didn't come out to talk, however he has someone else tell me that they had called me and left a message, my caller ID did not show the call, while picking up tire I notice that there were 5 tires that were not repair with mine. I took it to Tire man and they repaired the tire within ONE hour. I did not mention my unpleasant experience at Discount Tire. VERY POOR SERVICE read more

Whatever you do , do not go to discount tire in Adrian Michigan. You think I would've learned from my first go around with them but no! . I had to give it another go. The first set of rims that they put grooves around with the tire machine wasn't all that important because it was an older vehicle so I never really raised a big fuss about it .I did make them aware of it so that it wouldn't happen to someone else's vehicle . I don't know if there was a problem with the equipment or the operator installing them. A year or so later I removed my rims and tires from my vehicle and cleaned the rims spotless and took them in To get a set of tires mounted onto them. Before I had them installed , I made them aware of the situation previous and to take extra precautions with these because they were off a relatively new vehicle. That didn't seem to matter with them, Yeah you Guest it, all four rims were damaged when inproperly mounting the tires on the rims again.The manager did order new rims. They called me on the phone and told me that they were ready and then I could pick them up anytime . So I got in my vehicle and drove over there to pick up the rims . When I got there and asked for them , I was told he needed to switch them out with the ones that they had damaged . which meant that I would have to bring the vehicle in again for another two hour wait which I would've reluctantly done but , I traded the vehicle in two days prior to them telling me on the phone that they were there and that I could pick them up.that wasn't the case. So now I have to call the dealership and explain to them the situation , after I told them that I had new rims coming for it and would throw them in on the trade. Avoid the frustration and go to some professionals not the amateurs that work there! You can damage the Rims yourself you don't need professionals to do it For you. They lost a customer for life. But honestly that doesn't seem to matter to them because they don't own the company, they're just the rookies that work there.What happened to customers service ?I think it went out with this new generation of inexperienced children operating shops that are intended for grown men. Mike assisted me in the purchase of my tire. The wonderful roads of Lenawee County did a number on my R front tire. Discount was my first call. I needed the tire ASAP so I called EVERYWHERE in Adrian. Discount was the fastest and the cheapest. It was 2-3 days for the tire to come in which was better than a week or backordered from all other tire places. The experience was pleasant and smooth. They reset my tire pressure system and put the spare and jack back in its place in the trunk. Wait time couldnt have been more than 20 min. Very friendly and I would recommend to anyone locally. I purchased 4 new tires from here. When the technician went to reinstall the wheels, he broke one of the wheel studs completely off. Discount Tire does not have the ability to fix this, and they refused to reimburse me for the repair I had to have done elsewhere. Also, they left another customer's keys in my vehicle, and I had to return to the store to take back the other customer's keys. Finally, the tire balancing was not done satisfactorily as I had vibration between 40 and 60 mph. My old tires had no perceptible vibration when I took the vehicle in. I elected not to have them rebalance the tires as I was afraid of what other damage they might do to my vehicle. read more

I gave them a chance.... I came in about eight months ago and needed a tire for my car. They did not have the tire I needed, so (a tall skinny manager Erich I believe) said he would help me out. He took my tire and put a used tire on it. He was helpful and brought the tire out to my truck for me. He charged me $30 and I was on my way. Just this week, I had a blowout on the tire and I took it into a different local tire company, and they told me that this "blowout" happened because the tire on my car was from the year 2001. I told them I just got the tire about 8 months ago from Discount tire and they informed me that this old of a tire should not be in service for any reason! He sold me a 13 year old tire! They suggested I take it back to Discount tire and ask for a refund, but I did not receive any paperwork. He took my money and told me have a nice day. I called Discount tire and they do not have any record of me in their "system" . This leads me to believe that this is a scam. I was sold a old tire, and this man obviously pocketed my money. Thankfully my car is back on the road with new tires! You never know who can be trusted! I do not wish to go near this horrible store ever again. read more
