BEWARE...BEWARE...BEWARE.... That is all I have to say about this place. All you have to do is look at the nails on the pictures posted they are all MESSED UP. Not one of them are painted well. The two women here simply DO NOT know how to do nails and SHOULD NOT and WILL NOT be in business. When I went here the lady was doing such a horrible job on my nails. She could tell that I was so upset by the look on my face. The lady kept yelling at me saying "YOU NO LIKE" YOU NO LIKE" she grabbed my hands and started to rip the GLUED NAILS off. I was so upset that I had to RUN out of there because the lady was hurting me. All I have to say is GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. This is the worst nail shop I have ever been to. I got a mani and a pedi. The owner did it for me. She was extremely rough. She ripped up atleast 3 of my fingers and atleast 4 of my toes!!! I was in so much pain for atleast 4 days later.. I will never go back. read more

Lena does good work and I used to think she was mostly nice even though she would lecture me at times when she hadn't seen me in a while and once she compared my feet to another client, but I let it slide because I'm a pretty easy going person, and she does good work. But her attitude with me today was unacceptable and inexcusable! I'm being generous giving her the two stars! First, she went ballistic because I tried to show her a picture of a flower design for my pedicure, so I being the nice, easy going person I am said, fine do whatever flower you can do. She complained the whole time about how she doesn't like to do them, she complained how long it takes, she had another client waiting, but never refused to do it. I insisted on not getting all the extra spa treatments, which gave her some extra time, and still got charged for it! Oh, and last but not least, when I pulled out my credit card, which I've always used in the past, she tells me I need to pay cash! Why? Debit machine out of paper! What?? Umm why didn't someone tell me this when I made the appointment?? I told her the card is all I have. She swiped the card and gave me what was left of the receipt paper and I left out never to return! She started on my pedicure and as soon as my husband and son came inside she started freaking out and said I can't do I don't do nothing with kid no kid allowed she had already soaked my feet and trimmed my nails and she quit WTF ? Nice quaint shop. Very friendly owner. Unfortunately this did not equal great nails. Since it took longer then usual(due to her constantly answering personal calls) I canceled the french tips & just went for a natural look. The gel was super thick, a few of the nails were the wrong size & there was plenty of left over gel under my nails. Cuticles were not cared for and on some of the fingers the gel went over the cuticle. This was a great discovery! I needed a pedicure and went to look for a place that would take walk-ins. Lena's Nails had been open for about 2 weeks when I went there on a Saturday morning, and the results were fantastic. No waiting and the shop seems super clean. Not fancy, just very nice. I decided to have a manicure, too, and was thrilled with the attention to detail - I had two ladies who took their time to get everything right. OMG! I don't normally write reviews on Yelp but I just had to with Lena's Nails. I walked in at almost closing & was very fortunate she was able to take me in. I loved her technique on the pedicure with a very smooth stone which I've never experienced before. The service is awesome, husband & wife teamwork. The only negative thing I would say is that the other customer that was there treated Lena like shit (excuse my language). I love Lena's. She and her husband are amazing hard working people. I've been going for over 2 years and my nails are always on point. It's a small place, but super clean and welcoming. It's a mini get away tbh. She has so many colors to choose from so I tend to go prepared and have a choice ready so I don't take forever in deciding. I tried all the other nail places on that street and none of them compare. It has 2 pedicure chairs and a waxing room. I've gotten waxed twice and they went smoothly. I was not in pain or irritated afterwards. My skin was so soft and hair free. So I definitely recommend checking this place out. read more

I absolutely love coming to Lena's! She and her husband are always so sweet to me. Their hospitality alone already makes it a great visit. Lena does a great job on pedicures, I unfortunately suffer from ingrown toenails and she does an amazing job taking care of it. She always takes her time which I love 'cus I feel like some places always try to rush you out. Her basic pedicure includes a massage and a hot stone rub, but if you have the time definitely go for the deluxe. Lena is AWESOME!! I just LOVE her pedicures ! She puts some kind of scented salt in the water and rubs your feet with some hot smooth black stones. She then rubs ur legs and feet with a really hot towel and then massages your feet. I like how she is so clean with her pedicure tools. WORST customer service ! I thought I found a new nail shop when I went to Lena's Nails a few months ago because of how great she did my nails, but unfortunately based on the experience I had at the shop last weekend, I will not be returning. On the shop's signage, it said walk-ins are welcome. Last saturday I attempted to walk-in for services, but when I got there Lena told me to come back in two hours because she was backed up with other customers. Althought that is a long time to wait for a pedicure, I decided to wait and come back. I told Lena I would return to the shop in two hours for services. However, when I came back two hours later she took another customer ahead of me and said i would have to wait another hour. I expressed to her how unfair that is be being that I already waited two hours to get my nails done. She said there was nothing she could do, giving me the option of either waiting or coming back another day. I was so upset about how I was treated that I left and decided that I will not be returning. Lena definitely lost a customer. I feel if Lena had more people working in the shop she could accommodate more customers and provide better service. read more

The three stars are not really about the service, Lena actually did a great job on my feet. it is because.... I called about 1:30 to schedule an appointment. I spoke with her husband and asked if I could come in at 4:00.He said no, we are busy at 4:00. He asked if I could come in at 6:00, mind you they close at 7:00. I told him that I could and he asked what services I would need. I told him that i needed a full set and a pedicure, both gel. I know that he heard me because he repeated it loud enough for her to hear. I could hear her response in the background....I asked him, "is that okay?" He says yes, they called me around 5:15 back to back 3 times. I called back to see what was up and I was hung up on. They called right back and said can you come at 5:30...well no, because I had ran some errands and I wasn't in Richmond.. no problem with that but they went on and on about me not being able to make it at six because I wasn't in town. I kept telling them I will get on the road right now, I will be there, Is there a problem with the time we scheduled or what?? Finally after saying the same thing four times, they said okay we will see you at 6:00. Oh My Goodness!! Anyway, I arrive, early I might add and Lena was cashing out someone as I was walking in. The husband says you want a pedicure right? Yes, and nails. He says, "yes". He prepares the pedi spa and I get in. Lena does my pedi and right before she is done she says.. no time for nails because your Pedi took too long. I was like What!?? Now ladies, if we can only get one or the other done...wouldn't you want your nails done!!?? I can wear shoes that cover my feet but wearing gloves in July would be a bit bizarre. Mind you, my nails are a mess... four are broken and I still have tips on the other six. I told them that if I could not get both services I would have preferred to know that up front. First off, I could have went some place else since I called at 1:30!!___________and/or I could've chosen my nails over my feet, I have never been shut down halfway through a service. Once I'm in...no matter how late it gets, my services are completed. Folks are busy these days.. don't nobody got time for that. Lena is also a bit impatient.. I suggested that they hire help, after the husband told me how busy they are at the salon. Overall the shop is small... they have 4 waiting chairs, two manicure table's and two pedi chairs. It is clean and comfortable. I like that they have security screens on both the front and the back door where you can see out but not in and they let you in. They both seem nice and easy going well for the most part. To take off nails, the signage says 15.00, Hello___ never saw that before. If you look at some of the pics from clients, the one's with the nail art on the tips, those are already decorated and she charges 50.00 for those...she say's because they are expensive. Hell, then buy the transfer kind, they're cheaper. My pedi was 35. and I got gel paint, no designs. Overall I would go back though, I would like to see how she does with my nails. read more
