Found out later you can get a short stack which is still a huge basket and a short short stack which most places would call normal/medium. You have to sit at the bar and we sat right across from the grill. The whole operation right there in front of you . They give you the fries early while the burgers are cooking. You get so many it doesn't matter. The burgers were literally hot off the grill. Fries were fresh cut small. Service was fantastic. We will be back!

I ordered the Oklahoma Smashie, a double smash burger with two beef patties, American cheese, grilled onions, pickles and Goose Sauce. This was a very tasty burger! The patties had those crispy edges you want from a smash burger, the cheese was melted perfectly, and the pickles and sauce pulled everything together. For my side, I went with the cucumber salad. I really wanted to like this one, but unfortunately it was the slight disappointment of the meal. It wasn't bad, it just didn't hit the same level as that burger. The Goose describes itself as a dive bar and sandwich shop, but I actually found the place pretty interesting. It has that comfortable neighborhood-joint feel -- nothing fancy, just a cool place to sit down, grab some food and enjoy lunch with a friend. Service was also excellent. For our main meal my wife had the Chorizo Mac and Cheese and I had Wagyu Sirloin medium well with a side of local greens and oregano vinaigrette. The Mac and cheese has the perfect spice only a chorizo could bring. The proportion was perfect for a meal in itself. I also got 2 steak sauces: one was Smoked Paprika Carmel sauce and the other was Chimichurri. The Wagyu was more medium than medium well but not a big deal for me...I just don't want it to bleed out when I cut into it and luckily it didn't. It was tender and juicy by itself but the sauces did kick it up a notch in flavor. I was more partial to the Smoked Paprika sauce as the Chimichurri sauce was a little spicy for me. I enjoyed the top part of my greens but towards the bottom all the vinaigrette settle there and drowned the greens. I should have asked for the vinaigrette on the side so I could control the amount. Our dessert was a liquid dessert when the Sauvignon Blanc reared its ugly head (no really it was good hence so many glasses) and I had my tried and true old fashioned with a large cube and bartender s choice on a top self bourbon. We did use the bathrooms and we can happily report the bathrooms are very clean, nice and smell good. Our service and meal were absolutely fantastic. I wish I could remember our server's name, but she took care of our group of about 12 in the back room and was on top of everything all night. She was so kind, patient, and willing to repeat things when needed, which is huge when you have that many people trying to get attention at once. She even thanked us for coming in, which was such a sweet touch. The food was amazing. She accidentally brought out an extra side of squash puppies and let us keep them, so I tried them even though I hadn't ordered them. Let me tell you, you HAVE to order them. They were absolutely divine, and the butter and jam they come with are incredible. I started with a salad, which was also very good, and then ordered the chicken bruschetta based on our server's recommendation. The Brussels sprouts were insane, so flavorful and easily one of my favorite parts of the meal. The bruschetta was delicious too, and I ended up eating almost all of it. Both meals came with their house made beer bread biscuit and cinnamon honey butter. The menu was extensive. I recommend trying this place.
