The fries were very good as well. Ketchup, salt, and malt vinegar were in the bag - which is a nice touch. Now they were listed as The Weiner Wagon on the Food Fights coupon but seem to be a part of the Classic Express Cafe. My attendant at the window was very friendly and I ate my meal on one of two picnic tables in the parking lot. The only downside - no drinks other than coffee milk - which is really taking the commitment to RI based foods to the next level but I would have loved a soda.

The wiener was up there with the heavyweights that everyone talks about all the time, the NY System OGs, etc. Buns were soft and felt steamed. The Weiner has great flavor, texture and juiciness. The sauce, mustard and celery salt were all on point and in the proper ratios. Even the coffee melt, while in a bottle came from a local dairy and was made with cane sugar. Under the circumstances that's pretty good. We were surprised by the quality and execution. They have the classic wiener formula down. A couple of minor tweaks away from the OGs for the new kids on the block in Johnston. Well worth trying if you're in the neighborhood.

After placing our order, an employee asked what other dessert we might have chosen. My partner said mint chocolate chip, and the employee surprised us with two mini mint chocolate chip sandwiches on the house. We took our treats to a nearby park. They were very cold (in a good way), and we were advised to wait a few minutes before eating them, which was perfect since it was such a hot day. We didn't talk at all while eating our ice cream sandwiches , they were that good. It's also great to know they offer catering. A must try spot. The banana pudding sandwich was my favorite - I couldn't believe how good it was.

The store was quiet when I arrived. Service was fast and friendly. They have lots to choose from on their menu. I wanted to try so many things but because I was driving back to Boston and wasn't sure whether it would totally melt, I tried an ice cream sandwich. For myself I chose the banana pudding and for my hubby, the mint n chip. They double-bagged them and I put them on the floor in front of the floor AC and turned that baby on full blast. To my surprise, they were completely in tact when I arrived home. Yes, I was freezing the whole ride back given it was 51 degrees and rainy. Anyways onto the ice cream sammies - my hubby loved his. I thought mine was good but I felt like the cookie was too rich - it definitely did not need the chocolate dipped side with peanuts. I'm not sure why but this combo wasn't super appealing to me. The ice cream was very good but more on the sweeter side. Next time I'm in the area I want to try the strawberry taco.

Bf decided to take me here instead and woah, their flavor offerings and options in general were a big YASSS for me. So many flavors to choose from for hard serve, toppings, soft serve (super impressive offerings here!), dole whip, cone options, sundaes, and milkshakes! They even have ice cream cakes you can order! I had the strawberry cheesecake in a sugar cone with mini chocolate chips and WOW I was in heaven!! Will be coming back for that! The scoop filled me up for a kiddie size being only $4.95. My bf got the coffee cookie dough chip for a small cost $5 and it was 2 big ole scoops in a waffle cone. You legit can't beat this serving for the price!! Came to $13 and change for the both of us. Now I can see why the line is so long here at times when I drove by. It can take a bit to get your order as there were only 2 windows. They have 3 picnic tables to sit and a small indoor area as well. Can't wait to come back and try a new flavor.

However, the customer service during our most recent visit, which was our first visit of the season, was surprisingly rude, which leaves me wondering if something at Sundaes has changed, hence the two star review. We brought a group of 12 here on Friday night, 5/15/26 at about 7:15 and the employee who took our orders was polite and wrote everything down. We paid for our order all together. It wasn;t very busy when we arrived, but it took quite a while, nearly 10 minutes, for us to receive the first of the 12 ice creams, and then the rest of the order came out little by little. By the time we left, there was a line of about a dozen people. When my ice cream was ready, it didn't have the sprinkles I had ordered. I asked if sprinkles could be put on, and rather than simply adding sprinkles, the employee (manager?), went and checked the paper order, stated that sprinkles weren't written down and that she would have to charge me for the sprinkles. I asked about it again, citing our order was large ($88), and couldn't they just put the sprinkles on that they forgot to include. She replied repeatedly stating that doing that would be against company policy. Hmmmm....... Really? If that's the case, Sundae's policy is pretty poor. This exchange of words left me with a very bad feeling, but as I was with a large group including several kids, I didn't press it any further. Why in the world would a company refuse something that costs pennies to the business, instead making the customer go through the trouble of cashing out again, especially when it was the business' mistake? More ice creams from our order continued to come out at a very slow pace. One ice cream was made with the wrong flavors, and one was forgotten and by the time we received it, most of the other people in our party had already finished eating. At some point as we waited for our ice creams the "manager" called out to me to ask if I wanted rainbow or chocolate sprinkles (I guess the company policy had changed?), but at that point it was too late, she had already set the tone. While the ice cream at Sundaes is fine, I would strongly suggest that the owner of this business provide training to their staff on customer service, and how refusing to honor a request for forgotten sprinkles without incurring a new charge can lose a customer (or in our case a large group of customers) for a long time. Also, the wait time needs to be speeded up. Maybe more staff is needed? With so many other ice cream places within a short drive of Sundae's. I doubt that we'll be back given our most recent experience here. Moose Trackers in Scituate, Gigi's Scoops in Smithfield, or The Parlor Creamery in Cranston are all great places and will get our business the next time our group goes out for ice cream.

Glad that they have water and cups available, as well as cardboard containers to lay down your ice cream and waffle in because they are sooo big! I randomly found this place…read morewhen doing a google search and based on their nearly perfect reviews, decided I had to give it a shot; I had a BIG FEELING I'd love it. It is located next to a school so traffic can be heavy depending on the time of day. I went around 5 pm and the weather wasn't great so not as much traffic and parking right in front. It is metered parking which is a downside but I believe there are side streets without the fee. I loved a lot of the details when I walked in such as the ice cream cone chairs along the wall, the art on the wall, the citrus colors all around, and a water station. The menu isn't very extensive, but | actually love this about them. Each flavor is very unique and when every flavor sounds and tastes good, a dozen options is perfectly fine. They also have it broken up into regular hard ice cream, dairy free ice cream, and sorbet. I couldn't decide on what I wanted but I was allowed to sample different ones before committing to one. They offer 4 different sizes: mini (golf ball scoop) - $4, scoop (baseball) -$6, half/half - $7, and double -$8. During my sampling session, I tried the horchata, thai tea, and dulce de leche. I ultimately opted for the dulce de leche because of its sweet, creamy, and intense caramel-like flavor. It almost tasted like a cold Werther's caramel melting in my mouth, so I needed more of it. However, I loved that the horchata had a strong cinnamon and vanilla presence with a hint of coconut since I do think the non-diary flavors are coconut milk based. The thai tea literally tasted like a frozen thai tea as it was milky but also the black tea undertone was there. I did not get to taste the london fog but I also heard it was a black tea flavor. Just based on internet pictures, it looks like the menu is constantly changing (some staple flavors don't seem to leave) and there are seasonal flavors. This motivates me to come back more often to see what treasures I come across. They had a few tables inside to enjoy your ice cream there. There were two people working so I did not wait much for my turn. They also do offer pints to go, but from what I could see only two flavors: cookies and cream and mango sticky rice.

That part comes down to personal preference... I can tolerate a taste I don't love. What I can't tolerate is bad service. The employee working on 5/25/26 was extremely rude and had no customer service skills. She acted annoyed whenever someone asked for samples and made customers feel like they were wasting her time. She handed over cups of ice cream without spoons or any explanation of where to find them. After running the register, she simply turned around and walked away before the payment even finished processing. Like I said, taste is subjective. How bad can ice cream really be, right? But poor service is something I don't overlook. I won't be returning to this place. In my opinion, 3 Sisters and Sacred Cow offer a much better overall experience.
