I had my first appointment with Greta last night and have already booked a second one out! She is absolutely amazing. I highlight my hair and there is a lot of it! She made sure to use products that would help keep my hair healthy and took her time to make sure that it was toned to the color that I was wanting. I did not have a good experience at this salon and I would like to explain why. I reached out to the owner multiply times to explain my experience and she claimed she was too busy and never called me back. I was a client of emili. I order extension hair in beginning of December. It arrived in early February. The extensions came platinum white blonde. They did not match my hair at all. Itold her that I would like her to color them and color match my hair since my extensions did and will never match my natural hair. I told her I would pay whatever amount that was needed to pay. She agreed . So we booked my install/ future apt for March 10th at 330. She messaged me the night before at 7 pm to let me know she didn't complete the coloring of my extentions and that I need to color them myself. I am in this industry and I feel as if I was treated different because I'm a hair stylist. So we canceled my appointment and I was charged $125 for the color that she did to my extensions. I went to the salon to pick of My extensions and the color was awful. My roots were red and blotchy. I was disappointed on how she communicated with me and how the situation was handled. I was patient and waited a long time. I will not be returning to this salon and hope they can have better consultations and commutation for future extension clients. read more

I loved my experience with Jodi! I am extremely picky about my haircuts and have been to enough stylists to know when one is good. Jodi is incredibly skilled. She cuts your hair in a way that it will grow out well and even used a technique to add volume to my thin/flat hair. She also has a warm and inviting personality, which is a wonderful bonus! My mom and I had back to back appointments with Alicia. We ended up being 12 minutes late to the appointment, and although we apologized profusely for being late she seemed to have an attitude towards us for the rest of our time at the salon. She also seemed annoyed that we were from out of town, even though we obviously paid full price and left generous tips. My mom ended up paying over $70 for a 30 minute trim. We found the overall experience not very enjoyable and won't be returning to this salon. read more

I've been seeing Jodi at Lemon Drop since I relocated to Bend in 2014. She's great. Friendly, responsive, and on-time. She's got the ability & skill to look at the shape of your face, the color of your complexion, and your hair's natural tendencies, and come up with what works best for you: cut & color. I've got wavy to curly hair and she does great things for my curls! It's really hard to find somebody like Jodi IMO. Jodi uses Square so the receipt goes right to my inbox. Convenient! Greta is amazing at getting to the root of my hair troubles. I have had a few health related hair loss/changes. Greta has been able to give me awesome colour dimension and her haircuts make my hair look and feel super healthy. I have gotten several random - stop in the street hair compliments to find out where I got my hair done. I'm driving from Olympia, Washington to get my hair done by Greta. Grow outs are awesome and the product recommendations are spot on. Greta is super flexible with her schedule and squeezed in a fancy hair braiding for my daughter while I was getting highlights. read more

I had shoulder length hair and decided to go drastic and cut it into a pixie bob. After getting home and styling it myself, I realized what a horrible cut it was. Layers were choppy and uneven. Not blended well at all. I called to talk to the owner and she wouldn't bother even talking to me. The salon said their policy is for the original stylist to fix it. No way in hell that stylist was touching my hair again. The salon scheduled me with Emily Vrieling and said the cut would be on them. Emily did an amazing job fixing the cut, which had to be cut into a true pixie just to fix it. When Emily was done, I went back to the counter and they had the nerve to charge me the difference in price because Emily's rate is higher. I don't mind paying for a good haircut, but I can't believe they had the nerve to charge me more to fix my hair and me walking out of there with a much shorter cut than I wanted. I would go back to Emily 100%, but I refuse to give that salon another penny! read more

I do have to give two stars for a nice and clean establishment, and also, because I have seen beautiful work from other stylists at Lemon Drop Hair Salon. I apologize for the lengthy review, but sometimes a customer just wants to be listened to, heard, and respected. In April 2017, I set an appointment 2 weeks in advance for a BLONDE BALAYAGE. My personal experience with Bailey DuMond was not good, and I feel bummed to write this, but her interaction with me was unacceptable as a professional stylist. She was absent in conversation often repeating questions that I had answered just minutes prior. It was awkward. I clearly stated my desires, and that I did not want blonde too warm or too ashy gray. Finished result: It was a warm light brown/dark blonde, and I was confused. She said that Balayage outcome is a "toss-up", and I tried to accept that. It did have an overall blonde hugh while in the lighting of Lemon Drop Salon. A couple of days later, in other lighting and parted differently, I could see the problems. I had an orangy tone, and whole sections of stripey, contrasting, and untouched hair. I was nervous, but I told her I didn't like the outcome, and that it wasn't what I wanted for me. With pouty and closed-off body language, Bailey would only say to me "I don't think its warm at all, I think it looks really pretty" and "I did the best I could" and she didn't offer to fix it. Her presence told me that I shouldn't be bothering her about it. I didn't expect that at all. So, I thanked her a few different times in the same conversation for allowing me to be honest, and I finally asked on my own for a re-do appointment, but it was written all over her face that she did not accept my opinion about my own hair & didn't want to help me out. So, I had to ask for her to, at least, fix ONE top section that had a stripey-looking unblended dark patch. (Since then, I had realized that a complete Balayage would NEVER be a few foils on the upper head and temple with the rest untouched - for almost $200.) Finally, she reluctantly set a new appointment and said "you'll have to leave with your hair wet that day, because I won't have the time to dry you." I thought to myself, now how would I know what color I'm looking at if its wet, and why don't I get an appointment scheduled with enough time to complete. I left feeling shut-down, unimportant, ripped-off, and anxious about returning. I regret the amount of money + tip that I paid, and then to actually experience such unwillingness to fix my hair, and no offer from Bailey without my trying to pry out a fix appointment for myself. Awkward. Later, I cancelled my "fix" appointment. I hoped that Bailey would've heard my feedback constructively, but instead of passion there was pouting, poor customer service, and no outreach. read more

I think that Rachel Macy rocks for applying color and for styling. I'm blond, and she knows how to do blond, so the color is realistic for my skin tone. And her technique for applying my weave is excellent, so lines aren't visible. She also uses Redkin products, so my hair stays healthy. The outcome from each appointment has been consistently good. I have high maintenance natural curly hair, and she knew exactly how to cut and style it! I left the salon looking fabulous!! I am going back in 2 weeks to have her color it, and I cannot wait. Rachel Macy is amazing. I can't count how many years my daughter and I have followed her for the "perfect every time cut and color". She is the sweetest most compassionate hair stylist who seriously knows what she is doing. Loved my first experience with her at Lemon Drop Hair Salon. She saved me from a bad attempt to style my own hair, and my hair is gorgeous! Lemon Drop is Clean and nice, with friendly stylists and great hair products including Bumble and Bumble. I highly recommend Annie Simmons at Salon Lemon Drop. I've been going to Annie for over a year. She does a great job. She always does exactly what I ask her to do with very little explaining. I prefer a natural golden blonde color, and I absolutely love my color ever time I go in for highlights or low lights! I have thick wavy curly hair, and not every stylist is good at working with my hair type. Annie is great at cutting it in a way that makes it manageable, and stylish. Annie is a great girl, and I enjoy chatting with her. Also I enjoy the atmosphere of pampering at the Salon itself. read more

Rochelle at Lemon drop has taken care of me for two years now and she's the best! I made a huge hair change last year cutting off 14 inches and she was so in tune to what I wanted and making sure I was SURE about this big change. Just had the opportunity to have a balayage and cut appointment with Jodi. Was greeted warmly by the other stylists when I arrived and everyone asked if I wanted any coffee, tea, water, or wine. I walked in with some overly brassy, dry summer hair and walked out with lovely, natural color and a fresh cut.
