A few weeks ago, I decided it was time for a total makeup refresh, so I made an appointment at Wren & Wild for a clean beauty consult. It was very easy to find a time and book online and they send a number of reminders. The consultant took the time to really understand my skin and what I was hoping to achieve, something easy that I could do everyday to add a little brightness. We tried out different things until we found the perfect matches, and along the way, I received some surprisingly helpful skincare guidance as well. I ended up purchasing a good mix of what we used during the consult: new brushes, a moisturizer, sunscreen, and a few staple makeup items. I was apparently in desperate need of some guidance on my skincare routine and what types of makeup products work for Bend's dry climate and I've truly noticed a difference. My skin is less dry, and there's even a bit of a glow that normally comes post facial. But the real highlight came a few days later, when my 13-year-old daughter--the designated "Sephora girl" in our house--asked what I'd been doing differently because "my skin looked really good." If a teenager devoted to beauty trends notices, you know it's working! Overall, I highly recommend a visit if you're thinking about refreshing your makeup or skincare routine. Just a heads-up: if you take full advantage of their expertise, be prepared to spend a bit. I had a wonderful short visit popping in on a weekday night to pick up some Osea body scrub. I am recent Bend implant (from the Wash, DC area) and wanted a store I could visit locally instead of always ordering online at Nordstrom (that's where I worked in cosmetics so have an idea about what I like and what I will use). My husband and I took breakfast at a local bar on the following Saturday and I asked to see this store again. As I was walking around, a lovely lady started talking to me about lines she liked. We got into a light conversation about the cosmetic industry in general, and found we had much in common. She introduced me to a gentleman from NY who had a new skincare product to introduce, and let me know about some changes I might find in my skin with a more dry environment here. I have always enjoyed a flawless complexion, which in part I credit my heritage, but I also have taken care of my skin and believe your base skincare sets the "foundation" for all else you put on your face and body. Anyway, I walked away with a couple of products that my lovey DH purchased for me. A day later and somewhat confused about what to get for DH female relatives for Xmas- and I had him return and pick up a couple of products. Great spot! Brendan provides an amazing hydra-facial experience. Their treatments are considerably more affordable than some of the spas in Bend, yet the experience feels much more personal and comfortable. 5 stars come directly from my son. As I took him the first time in (he's 10 yrs. old) he was very vocally against the idea. "Is it one of your clothing buying trips again? I won't come in - I'll wait outside" Then he met BOOKER. That gorgeous bulldog has obviously changed the whole picture. Then he met Nicol. He got caught on her very patient explanation of what's AirealYoga is all about. We came back that very day for teen aireal-yoga. When class ended, he asked me if it took 30 minutes - I assured him it was almost 70 minutes (since it was the first time for the teens - Nicol wanted them to have a full meaningful experience). I think that tells it all. Can't wait to try it - So, I'm definitely NEXT. Plus the deals for new clients totally worth it. read more

I commend Wren & Wild for offering high quality treatments and cosmetics for men and women that are the real thing -- that is, they can be used every day and hold up to sun, work and play without the use of toxic chemicals or animal testing. I have found several wonderful products I use daily (I'm talking about you, Agent Nateur deodorant, and Kindred body oil), and the cosmetics are divine (check out the Alima Liquid Pure Silk line, incredible). Everything smells good and real rather than like perfume or fake chemical scents. I don't do yoga, but I do enjoy the bright silks, the murals, and the airiness of the space. The shop area, shared with a cool resale/consignment shop, is really nice with high ceilings, lots of windows and pretty furnishings. I love this place! read more

I came in on a whim a few weeks ago to buy some moisturizer. With the help of the friendly and knowledgeable girl at the counter (whose name I didn't catch unfortunately), I ended up purchasing a cleanser and moisturizer and they're the best I've ever used. Will definitely be back! read more

I must admit that I cannot comment on the Aireal classes, my review is on their communication and responsiveness. I was looking for a private and group classes, I read the Bio's on the instructors and one seemed like a good match so I was assured by the owner she would reach out the next week. The week came and went and no contact. So I called to followup, several times in fact all went to voice mail. I did leave a message and my contact information, so far nothing from them. There are so many yoga places in Bend try one that actually wants you to get healthy and cares, Wren and Wild doesn't. read more

Yoga! I've never tried an aerial yoga class so I thought I'd give it a go. I loved it! I'm not particularly active with my yoga practice and I was a little worried that I'd slow everyone down. Quite the contrary. As it turns out there were other first timers and the instructor, Nicole, was fantastic. She explained everything and the class was as gentle as we wanted it to be, and we always felt safe. I took the Stretch and Flow class. It's great for all levels and I highly recommend it. AIReal yoga was great fun and the teachers are awesome! Tried a first class last week - all levels with Nicole who made the experience safe and fun for beginners. Went back for a flow class this week and Heather added to my fun, alignment, and inversions. These ladies are passionate about their yoga and their teaching! Oh, I love this place. For soooo many reasons. First: Aireal yoga. It is sooooo good. You have a fabulous work out that works your core far more than you realize when you're doing it, and then you end with a lovely little savasanah wrapped up in a beautiful silk cocoon. And, sigh. Next, the space itself is just really lovely and embracing. The decor is beautifully done with gorgeous colors, live plants and BOOKER T! the bull dog mascot who is a love. Smooches to Booker. Then third, there is a wonderul organic skin care line (including an awesome deodorant: Agent Naturelle or something that Oh My God! is the best I've ever used. Love it. And it doesn't have any of those toxic chemicals and crap so many other lines do. And lastly there's the owner, Mandy. What a treasure she is, passionate about what she does, and how she can help people inside and out. She is a sweetheart who listens to you and supports you while you do aireal yoga, and then listens to your skincare needs as well to address the best product for you. Even my two daughters, who are intimidated by most studios, feel so comfortable and look forward to going.
