My son was diagnosed with ADHD and with medication he went from needing a tutor to being a tutor at CSUSM. It's a disservice to students to not tell parents to get testing and talk to a school psychologist about problems like bullying in school which also occurred at Grauer and affected his performance. Lack of motivation is associated with ADHD and also the severe bullying that was occurring off campus when he was biking to school. A psychologist would have been able to deal with these issues.

In past years it has been a night of student, and sometimes faculty monologues exploring a wide variety of social problems; from from LBGTQ issues, to women's rights, and the "Rape Culture in America" to name a few that I witnessed. It is often an intense night of student involvement and activism. My daughter excelled while at Grauer, and is now attending a prestigious women's College in western Massachusetts and thriving in the liberal arts program. My son ended up with such severe anxiety and depression as well as myself. I have videos of the interaction of the principle and teachers of the way we were treated. They actually physically restrained my son while he was screaming crying to get away from them. I had no idea how bad he was being bullied by his 4th grade teacher until I had him in therapy. My other child was not treated as bad but he did not want to be there either. I had to get lawyers involved. Sadly, I was not the first parent to have used them. When we left that school, I met several other parents who said awful things about Fletcher as well. They too have left reviews, on Yelp and Greatschools.org, I just looked and my review from there has been taken down again as well. Don't let the park like setting and sweet talk from Any one there mislead you. I have PTSD from last year.

He was always sent to the principals office even when asking other kids in the class for help because at the time the teacher was too busy helping other students. When the school year was over we switched schools and come to find out my son is the happiest he's been. He's doing great at this current school and loves his teacher. The principal didn't do much to help the situation either. I informed her a week before school was over that my son will not he going back to that school and had it not be the end of the school year I would have already pulled him out of that school.
