The administration at this school leaves much to be desired. On kindergarten orientation night when they misspelled routine as "routeen" and didn't even know until my son's father pointed it out.
My son started here three weeks ago in the kindergarten Spanish immersion program, it took some work for me to get him in the class, there was a dispute about a form I was supposed to complete. Once school started it seemed things were fine, then last weekend I received a call from the principal stating the school was over crowded and they selected two kids from each kinder class to move to a new class, English only. I asked if we had a choice to keep him in Spanish, the only reason we picked this school, we did not. I went on to tell him that I was undecided about leaving my son there or sending him to Lakeside Farms, he said he understood, he could attend the new class when it began Wednesday and we had until Friday to decide what we wanted to do.
Tuesday I called them to find out which room number the new class would be in, they told me with no hesitation. Wednesday show up at the school, ask the principal where the class is located, he starts walking us towards the room, opens the door and then quickly shuts it. "He can't go in there, his father told me he would be going to Lakeside Farms." A: you never spoke to my son's father only to me. B: you told me he could be here until Friday while I sorted this out. After telling him this, his story changes: you told me he was going to Lakeside Farms and there is no place for him here. That's right, in front of a five year old child he says there's no place for him. My son was upset and I was offended.
Head to the office for more information and they tell me he wasn't unenrolled as the principal stated, he was simply left in the Spanish class?!?!?? Enough of this poorly managed school. Lakeside Farms may have an older campus, but the staff seems to know what they are doing. read more
