Teachers genuinely seem to care and put in lots of time in the school beyond the minimum. Very happy with the decision to go here

Our family loves The Learning Academy! We have had our daughter at this school since she was 18…read moremonths. We started with daycare services a couple days a week with the bonus of socialization for our little one. We continued attendance at the school for Early Admissions Kindergarten, Kindergarten and currently now have continued for elementary grades. Our daughter has flourished in the school's Montessori setting. All teachers have been warm and cheerful. They work extremely hard to create exciting and academic appropriate lessons for all levels of learning. Communication is excellent and I can easily access teachers for questions. The Montessori learning approach meets learners where they are and builds upon their strengths. Students are able to move at a learning pace that is flexible and not lock step. . . meaning students can advance into new learning content standards when ready. Students are not held back and can excel. The director Ms. George is one of the best teachers I have ever met. Her heart is big and she is dedicated to the success of the school and the learning of all students!! I cannot recommend this school enough!

My son went through terrible abuse at this school. The director, Sandra George, was supposed to…read morepost the teacher was under investigation for months, and failed to post anything. Nor did she tell us. Parents found out when the state removed the teacher from the classroom, in person. Sandra, "Sandy," hid this on purpose, then had a yard sale to cover the fines. Not disclosing what the sale was actually for. This school is cheap in cost and integrity. I would not advise any child to go here. The abuser of my child was seen on that campus less than a week ago. She's not supposed to be there.

The teachers have all been wonderful, and everyone I've met at the school is kind and helpful. The kids who go here are all nice, and the teachers and other staff make sure that there's no bullying or fighting. I definitely recommend this school :)

They really care about the students education. We have been too 2 other Christian Schools with my older daughter due to moving reasons, and never felt compelled to write a review, until now, so that really speaks VOLUME for this Christian School in my book. The program offers part time school (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) Home School on Monday and Friday's. This is a great program for kids to learn independency, but at the same time have teacher's guide. Also, have to give credit for Mrs. Hoffman, the school Principle, she really cares about these kids and it really shows when you first meet with her. Highly Recommend this school for all Christian Families.

My daughter has been going there since she was 10 months old, and my newborn son also just started. I always feel at ease because I am constantly getting photos and update. Unfortunately, my experience with Children's Choice has become increasingly disappointing. The…read morequality of the facility has declined significantly over the past year and a half, particularly when it comes to supervision, communication, and overall management. I have spoken with the director on multiple occasions about concerns, only to be essentially told, "too bad." Rather than working with families to address issues, concerns seem to be dismissed. While there are some wonderful teachers who truly care about the children, the leadership and direction of the center have left me with little confidence. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this preschool.

Amazing school! I researched a lot before decided on a school for my kids (we live in a different…read moredistrict) and chose this school for their Mandarin program. I have two kids in 1st & 5th grade mandarin immersion program. They learned so much at school and the teachers are so great! They also have cultural experience, performance during Lunar New Year festival, International Fair, etc. My kids now can understand, write and speak in Mandarin! Learning a second language from a free public school is a very rare opportunity here in San Diego. Not a lot of schools offer this. They also have Spanish immersion program. I recommend this school!

Presently, both my kids attend here, and are not only loving the language program, but thriving!! I now have a 2nd and 5th grader! They are both reading, writing and speaking in Mandarin like its their second language!! The cultural enrichment has also been wonderful. Multiple performances at the school campus and around the community. My son learned how to play the Chinese yoyo, do kung-fu, and experience native chinese foods during cultural holiday celebrations. I'm truly glad we took the leap and enrolled our kids at Riverview International Academy.
