When we sat down though the hostess was not quite the nicest, but still did her job (even if it took a while). When bringing out the food, almost the whole tables were warm, even if it was a $90 steak. I ordered the Duke's Cheeseburger and it was enjoyable. The manager was super nice, and after talking about this with him, he decided to help us out! The ambiance of the place was amazing, and loved the statues and mood the entire time.

We did the picture in front of the huge surfboard to start. We were seated with a view of the bay. Waitstaff was very nice. Keep in mind the front desk is on the opposite side of the restaurant as the bay. We started with ahi sashimi which has become standard at all the restaurants we eat at in Hawaii. LOL. My wife ordered the ahi tuna tacos. I ordered the coconut ginger braised seafood. It has multiple types of fresh fish of the day with lobster. The sauce is just perfect. Filling and flavorful. In the end they gave the hula pie for free for our anniversary. So kind! The twisted version was a mango sorbet. We missed the twisted version with the cookie dough. We ordered the original. Damn it was good. How can you go wrong with hot fudge and ice cream!

We had a view of the ocean. It was pretty high waves after a nearby tropical storm so that was fun to watch. The photo ops are incredible here. They have wonderful seating overlooking the water. Would be great to come here just for drinks. We started with an ahi sashimi appetizer. We pretty much get ahi sashimi at every restaurant in Hawaii. It was good. The hawaiian painkiller drink was nice. Not too strong. For entrees, I picked Kampachi which came with bok choy. Although the portion looked small, it was a good size. Very flavorful. I had a hard time picking between 3 fish entrees. This one worked out well. My wife had a shrimp farfalle pasta. She enjoyed it. When we went to order dessert, they brought us out a lava cake like dessert with happy anniversary written in chocolate on the plate. Complimentary and such a nice touch! It seems like they do pay attention on the reservation. The place was semi-busy but not packed. Bar looked huge. Great service as well.

An unforgettable dining experience in Kauai Hualani's was,…read morewithout a doubt, one of the finest dining experiences we had on the island of Kauai. From the moment you arrive, you know you're in for something special. Complimentary valet parking, breathtaking views of the ocean, beautifully manicured golf course, infinity pools, and even a distant lighthouse create an unforgettable setting before you even sit down. We started with the Lobster Tempura and the Grilled Octopus, and both were excellent. The cocktails were beautifully crafted and the perfect way to begin the evening. For our entrées, we ordered the Kampachi (the first fish on the menu) and the Filet Mignon. After sharing both dishes, my husband and I completely agreed--the fish was the clear winner. It was absolutely outstanding. Every element on the plate complemented the others perfectly, creating one of those dishes you remember long after dinner is over. The filet mignon was very good--perfectly cooked and flavorful--but if we returned, we would order fish again without hesitation. In fact, we'd probably try the other fresh fish option as well (I believe it was Opah). Dessert was the perfect ending to the meal. We enjoyed the warm chocolate cake and the Hawaiian-inspired banana split, both beautifully prepared and delicious. This is the kind of restaurant you choose when you want to celebrate a special occasion or simply treat yourself to an exceptional meal. The combination of stunning scenery, attentive service, creative cocktails, and outstanding cuisine makes it well worth the visit. It's easy to understand why Hualani's has earned such an outstanding reputation. This was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Kauai, and we can't wait to return. Highly recommended!

What a wonderful Yelp find! Lots of locals, so you know it's good and worth the price!…read more We had the Braise Short Rib special with Garlic Mashed potatoes. And the Hawaiian plate: Kaluah pork, lomi salmon, ahi poke, mac salad, and poi. I'm not a huge poi fan- so I won't comment. But I do love mac salad and theirs is special! Less "wet" from mayo, more on a thicker side-- superb! The braised short rib was melt in your mouth with a great semi glaze and fantastic crust on the meat. It is a sports bar- so the atmosphere is quite lively and loud. Do not expect a quiet dinner. But the patio is less loud.

There were 12 people in the whole place counting us. No rush came. Our waitress corrected my wife on how to say Lychee and totally said it incorrectly. Haha we slid our table over to the right 4 inches so we could see the game better since there was nobody in the table next to us and she came over and slid it back. She later was visibly annoyed at us for not ordering more and said, "Really?! That's it?" When we told her we were good with what we had. Then an little later asked us to move tables because she had another group coming in. We just asked for the check and left. Never coming back.

The servers were friendly and attentive! The interior was cute and the windows let in a lot of natural light. Food: - Crazy Scallop Roll (8.5/10): Overall delicious! Each piece was bite-sized and had maybe two chunks of scallop on top. My only complaint was that it was kind of pricey for the portion sizes, but that's probably because of the scallops and that things are expensive in general in Hawaii. I was still hungry after eating this dish! - Panang curry with chicken and white rice (8.5/10): Super yummy! We thought that the curry flavors tasted pretty authentic. We wished we had gotten a bit more rice, as the scoop was pretty small so we had a lot more curry in the end vs. rice. - Mango sticky rice (8/10): I've eaten a lot of mango sticky rice dishes in the past, and this one was pretty average. The mango was a good level of ripe, and the sticky rice had a nice, mildly sweet flavor. Our suggestion would be to pour the coconut sauce over the rice instead of next to it so the flavors soak in!
